Re: Sbitx Low transmit power on 20m, 12m
I have a strange problem. My sbitx v2 operates ok using FT8 with output power levels good. SSB and CW show zero output regardless of power settings. Any idea what may cause this change of operations,

Re: Advice and Opinions on the next iteration of the sBitx
I ran some tests using HTOP. It looks like running JTDX on the sBITX takes more than twice the CPU. The sBITX app mainly uses 1 core. It can use 100% in FT8 decodes, but much less in other modes. With

Re: Using sBitX V3 just to listen with
Just make sure the transmit drive level is all the way down to 0. If transmit is accidentally pressed, nothing should get damaged. [email protected]> wrote:

Ray - this will also protect you from receiving!!!? You need a real antenna to receive. Gerry Sherman Sent by the Windows 11 Thunderbird 2024-07-01 08:21, ray.erdinc via groups.io wrote:

Re: Using sBitX V3 just to listen with
Forgot to say, dummy load would be while 'learnig' the application but if listening I would attached my antenna I use with my Icom R8600, hence don't want to transmit.

Using sBitX V3 just to listen with
Hi, I have only just got my sBitX V3 so while I am getting used to it and following this group plus YouTube etc, I would like to listen (or recieve digital) in other words not ready yet to

Re: Advice and Opinions on the next iteration of the sBitx
PPS: Add: 1. A good DSP similar to BHI or Xeigu AN1 2. Extend SD slot so accessible from the case side, no 'dismantling' the case.

Re: Advice and Opinions on the next iteration of the sBitx
I agree with Shirley. The problem with the 7" display is that it can only display 480x800 pixels. If a higher resolution was made, it could be used here. wsjtx and jtdx use a larger window because of

Re: Advice and Opinions on the next iteration of the sBitx
Formatting WSJT-X for the 7" screen could be done but it would be a compromise. Most people operating the mode want to see more information than a 7" screen can easily show. [email protected]>

Nick, I too got similar readings. But I arrived at this design after an experimental nudge-and-measure routine. Varied the termination impedances and the coupling capacitors to hit this

Re: Advice and Opinions on the next iteration of the sBitx
Someone should just layout the wsjtx screen to fit our screen. It should be a simple enough job for someone who knows Qt Designer. This is a developer"s bias problem. They use large screens

Re: Advice and Opinions on the next iteration of the sBitx
My start up failures ended when I began to count to 10 before hitting sbitx app. Not sure if that means anything. Maybe add a slight delay before app actually initializes? Otherwise, app often

zBITX 40 MHz crystals and filter #filters #homebrew
Hi All, I'm trying to get some hardware together for the zBITX project, starting with the 40 MHz crystal filter. I thought I'd start by measuring the parameters of the crystals specified by Farhan. I

I no longer have an sBitx to confirm, but it should be possible to put a microSD card in a USB reader attached to the RPi and 'clone' the internal card to another microSD as a backup. While a command
