Re: NEED HELP

OK so if I load the .tft file into the nextion that will make the screen work with the ubitx or is there another file needed to be loaded into the ubitx?

The files that end with .tft only go into the screen module itself, by means of a MicroSD card holding ONLY that one file on it at the time. If you're not happy with the 3.5" screen you find, report back and look in the forum Files section for a re-work of a 3.2" screen expanded to completely fill a 3.5" field. Best of luck, TedK3RTA |

Not known but for us it's a convenient place to probe! Just a reference point me to compare two boards. They are all where I want them, maybe a few more are required. There are not many number of us who have the equipment to make use of any published numbers. Raj At 22-03-19, you wrote:

Thank you to all those who helped me. It went together well. All is working.
Now how to install the firmware to get the Nextion 3.5 to work. I have downloaded these two files:v1.092 - 3.5¡å Enhanced Nextion Screen files (HMI for loading into Nextion Editor) ¨C KN4UD and?1.092 - 3.5¡å Enhanced Nextion Screen files (TFT for loading on micro-SD) ¨C KN4UD. Is it installed only on the display or must it also be installed on the ubitx? How is it done? Thanks again Laddie |

Is there a place that documents all the TP points and their purposes? I know there is a breakdown of all the sections on hfsignals but I am trying to find a more in-depth break down of the circuitry and perhaps explanations of the components and their purposes, maybe even expected voltages at different circuit stages. A service manual if you will. Along with a ¡°x-ray¡± print of the circuitboard. I enjoy reading Allison¡¯s notes and she has a great way of explaining things that actually teach you as well. Things like amount of gain a certain stage should have. Her comments alone have really clued me in to a lot of things. But as you know information is all over the place and everyone may or may not disseminate what all this info is teaching you. So at this point I am curious about the test points and how we can make use of them in troubleshooting. Joe KD2NFC On Mar 22, 2019, at 2:54 AM, Raj vu2zap <rajendrakumargg@...> wrote: |

Received another board from vu2pop last night. S.No 007/2 from Farhan.
Nothing much heard from the receiver and with a strong signal from the generator some distorted audio. Transmit was as bad, about 100mW. TX RX both poor so it has to be something in the common circuit. To cut the story short, I checked and compared the levels at all the RF RX points with a good board. Everything was fine at all test points except TP20 which is audio. Whn I put the probe on D5 there was some change.. pressed one contact and the volume almost blew my ears.. guess what - a bad solder. resoldered it and all is well with #7/2! Mostly the issues are simple but takes a lot of patience to find and fix. Cheers -- Raj, vu2zap Bengaluru, South India. |

You have your caps lock on. There are some uilities which disable that key. I sometimes remove the key top! When you put in a case it is highly likely you accidentally plugged the raduino shifted by one pin left or right or like me shifted the display one pin left or right. Usually this kills them and need replacement. Try changing the display. Easily available. Raj At 22-03-19, you wrote:

Please notice there is an adjustment pot associated with the lcd display. It must be carefully adjusted to see letters and numbers. Try to get this working first. Since you can't see the display,? might be locked into a menu setting, well until you remove power. If there is an issue I would check solder connections we make for issues. Make sure you didn't make a short near the antenna connection. Assume its not on the board for now. Curt |
Re: New Nextion display V5 signal or stand alone analyzer CEC 1.122
All,
? I was able to get this working today with the help with all of you. I used the file Laurence compiled for the second Arduino. I had to load the Ubitx with the Nextion_S.hex file. What is working is the S-meter and spectrum sweeping (which is kind of useful). The sweeping is like the IC7000 spectrum sweep. ? ?I think to get the CW decode to work you need to do a hardware change on the yellow wire leading to the display. you need to break that wire and hook it up to the second Arduino. 73's Mike WA3O |

Try this link.?/g/BITX20/files/K7AGE/BITX40%20Voltage%20Measurments.pdf
There is a files section, as well as a Wiki.? You can always try searching in there.? The files or wiki sections should be to the left in the Groups.io page. 73 Evan AC9TU |
