Re: Arduino Projects...
I bought an original SW40 kit about two months ago, and it's sitting on the shelf staring at me. As soon as the JackAl project is done, that's the first thing I'm going to build. And thanks for the BD

Re: Arduino Projects...
Jack, couldn't agree more about building your own stuff and CW. Just finished a small wonder labs sw40 (Midway electronics version) and its been getting way more airtime than my appliance rig. And

Thanks, Craig. I wish there were some magic wand I could wave to make all hams experience the enjoyment that comes from building and operating your own "stuff", whatever that might be. Same for CW. I

Hi Rich: Yep, books is correct. In fact, 18 books altogether and working on #19. You're kinda an old-timer like me. I got my first license in 1954 and upgraded to General a year later. Been licensed

Re: ND6T AGC implementation for uBIT-X
Ken, Thanks, I enjoy helping out a little where I can. Too bad the EU doesn't have those "ham friendly" customs notations. I just had a guy tell me he had to pay $30 VAT for some kits.....bummer. I

Re: 45Mhz crystal filter specification
Something is mighty fishy. Or the input frequency for the VFO as set should 3.915mhz. 48.915mhz -45.000= 3.915mhz Try raising the signal generator from 3.8mumble to 3.915 and see if things get better.

Re: 45Mhz crystal filter specification
The 45mhz filter is rather narrow If memory serves its a 15khz (wide) unit which is typical for common use (FM first IF work).? ?So for low attenuation you need to be between 44.9925 to about

45Mhz crystal filter specification
All, My ubitx has quit working in receive and SSB transmit. CW transmit still works. Attached are spectrum analyzer traces at C216 and C210, i.e. the input and the output of the 45Mhz crystal filter.

Re: uBITX & 160 meters
See this post: http://ubitx.net/?s=Top+band It works you just need a low pass filter. I found it draws more current so make sure you have a good heatsink or fan to keep the finals cool.
