Tell it to the young'uns! Better still, stoke them rigs up as they visit. The 'petrol-heads' drool over a big V8 screeching away from the lights - I treasure a visit to a Hamshack where he stoked up

I still have, and restore, and use, tube radios. I have a collection of antique broadcast band receivers that dates from 1921 to the 1930's, an antique (1920's) homebrew ham receiver with the

There would still be a 'niche' for the old gear - Ham Nation's Pine Board Project proves that. There may even be a (small) cadre of Ham youth interested in 'how these old things were made' enough to

Jack, Thanks a bunch for he pin out. I believe there is one error you might want to check on. The pin marked D51 is actually D53. All the others seem to be correct. Rich K2rh

I don't see any indication in this thread that r143 has been a problem for anybody yet. Your trouble could be any of a hundred different parts. If all you have measured thus far is Watts out the

This will give you an idea of the pinouts. Not all pins are brought out because some are dedicated to the TFT display. The pins with yellow collars are either output pins or test points. Jack, W8TEE

Jerry, True. Just pointing out that the RigExpert was perhaps a poor choice as a frequency reference, and with no to a little effort there are choices. With a bit more effort, still with a stock BiTX
