Re: Interesting observation of the power levels of the Si5351A, reversed?
It seems to me that the CLK output is set in mA - the following stage being a high-impedance (common emitter) buffer, so CLK output changes in current might not be reflected in the voltage without a

BitX 40 issues
Greetings I have about run out of gas. I have tried everything I can think of. My BitX 40 will not work. I have tried everything I can think of with no real success and I am at a total loss as to

Re: raduino_v1.08 released
Thanks Cory, that's a good idea that we can easily implement. It will help to reduce the number of unnecessary write cycles. I'll put this one on my list! 73, Allard PE1NWL

Re: adding VK3YE AGC to BITX40
I have just finished building the VK3YE LED-LDR AGC circuit, for an MST-Mk1 (not BiTx40), but a similar rig. ?Write-up and demo video

Re: Interesting observation of the power levels of the Si5351A, reversed?
I have also fiddled around with si5351 power output levels with unconvincing results. I am.not able to access my gear for afree days, can anyone else verify this?

Re: raduino_v1.08 released
If the frequency hasn't changed for 10 or 20 secs then save it. Would prevent writing to eeprom while tuning around.

Re: raduino_v1.08 released
I agree with Jerry's point to keep it simple. For now I'll stick to the current concept but increase the write interval to 30 seconds. We can always add extra features such as "favourite frequencies"

My primary suggestion is to keep it simple. ?The easier this baseline code is to understand the more people will be able to hack in their preferences. ?And learn a little bit of programming in the

Re: R15 and ADE-1 mixer getting very hot
for a test I re soldered the ADE-1 but put tape over all pins but 1,6 and no heating issues. I then soldered pin 5, and Rl5 started smoking. so there is a short in the ADE1 100%. So I pulled a

Jim, I'm sure this could be done with some extra circuitry using a big capacitor that can supply power for some extra milliseconds. Or a 'soft' power switch and an extra relay. But that is beyond the

I personally would love to see it done this way (write at power off) but I have to ask if that is practical. Could we get a reliable write with power being removed at the same time a write is in
