Usually a "ticking" noise is caused by communication
between the chip and the LCD. It may not be that, however.
Anyway it is a kind of "normal" RFI from a uPC. Usually it can be
eliminated with proper wire dressing or shielding. Most uBITX'ers
have used shielding on extension cables for the LCD because
that is when they hear it.
