Tom, It shows the tubes only on the HDMI screen. Does the software run on the HDMI screen? If it doesn't run, then there will be a black terminal window (on the HDMI screen) with?some error message. What does it show on the screen? Can you send us a screenshot of your HDMI screen about 30 seconds after it displays the "tubes"?

As said above mine is 20-30 seconds.??
Have you restarted the radio.?
If that doesn't work.? Try to connect to a monitor via the HDMI cable and connect to the wife and do the updates?
