Here is a video about using the sbitx board quickly without a box
The sbitx board kit contains the following :
1- A fully tested sBitx-v3 board with the heatsink mounted
2 - A 32 GB SD card loaded with the sbitx software
3- Tuning/Function encoders mounted on the front-panel PCB with the
connecting cable
4- XT60 connector with wires to connect to the power supply
5- M3 mounting nuts, screws and stand-offs
6- Power switch with leads to plug into the PCB
To start using the board, you need to provide:
1. A Raspberry Pi
2. A mouse and keyboard attached through the USB port of the Raspberry
Pi. I use a wireless logitech keyboard and mouse that has a usb dongle
that plugs into the USB port.
3. An HDMI monitor
4. A power supply capable of supplying upto 7A of current between 11
and 13.8v. It should preferably be current limited.
5. A key and/or a microphone
The steps are essentially:
1. Install the supplied SD card on the Raspberry Pi
2. Plug the Raspberry Pi into the board
3. Optionally attach a the mic and or a key
4. Connect the XT power connector to your power supply (red goes to
+ve, black to -ve)
5. Attach the antenna
6. Plug in earbuds into the earphone jack
7. Power up!
8. On the display, click on the sbitx icon from the top bar to start sbitx.
