Stencil with 3D printer

I just tried making stencil with my 3D printer and it worked perfectly.
I can now in one time reflow soldering all SMT components using my hot plate.

Just curious, what type of filament did you use?

The stencils I¡¯ve used are paper thin¡ just a few thousands thick¡ stainless steel so you can wash them up after a squeegee of solder paste on the board.

It will be interesting to see how this works.

If one does several boards in a lot, any "wasted" paste left in the screen (most of it should release onto the board, anyway) will be carried over to the next board, so only what is left behind after the last board will be truly wasted.

I just checked JLCPCB and as an example they charge ?5.40 (plus shipping) for a stencil for the RF board.

Sorry, but I made my own V12 version . So it doesn't corresponding to Bill version.

I made my own stencil because the cost is totally prohibitive from JLCPCB
6.41€ for the stencil, OK.
But adding 22€ for the shipping to EU !!!!. And it is the cheapest price for "Global Standard direct Line" shipping

And in fact you must use a STL file that corresponding to your 3D printer seup in terms of stencil thickness.
But it is easy to generate it.
-Go to :
-Load solder past and board outline gerber
-Adjust the thickness to be a multiple of the layer capability of your 3D printer.

For example, my setup with a P1S :
Best quality profile. (Initial layer=0.1mm and layer height=0.06mm). I tried 0.16mm and 0.22mm. Doesn't see any differencies.
0.2mm nozzle
Smooth plate
PLA tough

Hi Alan...or anyone who knows how to convert the paste mask from either the Gerbers or KiCAD to a format that can be used to 3D print them.?
The URL above, is not accessible.?
I've been beating my brains out trying so many different methods. So far without success, such as using the KiCad StepUp workbench in FreeCad, and also making an SVG image with Inkscape.?
Does anyone have an idea how to do this? I have attached the front paste svg file.

I found the GitHub repository at:
?

It has the Python code for both a CLI app & a web app.

Hi John,
Yes the website is down and the CLI app isn't working. A file seems missing.
I found this :
The GUI is identical to web application and works perfectly
