842AR is unaffordium. I think with a little help, I can design a nice little 5-sided box for the back made out of PCB for about $1. Both 5¡± and 7¡± displays. Should not be hard. I¡¯ll try one

Yeah, since it's a digital isolator, it needs an independent 3.3V source when the display is run at 5V.? At least for it to be plug and play.

It's interesting, I have the same model 5" and Version 2.2 display but looks nothing like the picture in a post below. Even the connectors JP1 & JP2 are reversed. I'm running on 3v3. glenn
