Re: uBITX not T-41: Inversion of t/r signal

The last item on my hardware TODO list is to provide a remote signal to trigger an amp or a RF switch. The signal that I need to expose is the T/R signal. The problem is that it goes positive on TX and grounds on RX. Sort of the opposite of what external devices expect. I am looking for a simple and small SMT based solution for this. Tried the obvious googling, but hope you understand I am more a software guy than a hardware so don't understand all the tradeoffs when dealing with RF. I know this sounds like a high school student looking for someone to do his homework ;-) , but perhaps someone can provide a pointer? Thanks! 73 Mark AJ6CU/7 |

开云体育Thanks Lou.? I’ve had two people in the last month tell me that they had faulty connectors on the coax they used at the output of the amp (not the surface mount but the one on the coax)… and they got warm to hot from pro-longed operation.? I’ll make a future video of me WELDING sheet metal with this thing.? It really is pretty much bullet-proof. ? The troubleshooting document is short and covers some of the common mistakes and expected voltages.? I probably missed some obvious things so if there are others that want to contribute to it… please send me your updates. ? Glenn… I took your advice and added a pad for capacitors (albeit stacked) right at the output transformer (T3) center tap to ground.? Doesn’t make a difference at low frequency, but does at higher frequency. ? ? ? Dr. William J. Schmidt - K9HZ J68HZ 8P6HK ZF2HZ PJ4/K9HZ VP5/K9HZ PJ2/K9HZ VP2EHZ ? Re: 20w rf amp - need help
This is an expansion.
I have ordered backup thru aliexpress. Just shipped. See in 2-3 weeks. Not a problem. $1.39 a yard rarher than $12 a foot-quite a difference I want to build V012 so waiting till available.? Following comments I have ordered screen and teensy-thru PJRC? and now know I can get it thru degikey which has office in Canada. Also ordered a 120v-3.3v converter from aliexpress as I don't have that voltage on my bench. May be noisy but hopefully adequate for testing. Thanks for your followup. 73, Bruce VA3BKI |

A very very long time ago I used Eagle, too, until "they" decided that student/hobbyist licenses for
a few 100 $ are no longer available. After continuing a while with the license I still had got, I felt that I should look for an alternative and switched to KiCad (see ), a free and also open source EDA. While it took some time to get used to it, I never regretted having switched to it - maybe have a look, at least it can import Eagle files, don't know if it also supports Diptrace ;-) 73 de Dominic HB9HEI |

开云体育Hi Glenn… ? Well… Its not necessarily my favorite, but Al started this by using “Diptrace”… so I bought a copy (the 1000 pin version).? It’s cheap for the low pin count but gets progressively more expensive with additional pins.? The new V012 RF board has more than 1100 pins so the version you would need to purchase is about $700 USD. ? ? Dr. William J. Schmidt - K9HZ J68HZ 8P6HK ZF2HZ PJ4/K9HZ VP5/K9HZ PJ2/K9HZ VP2EHZ ?
