Re: Should ATU-10 wake from sleep when RF is detected?
Why not power it with DC through the coax?

Should ATU-10 wake from sleep when RF is detected?
Hi Group,
I have an ATU-10 that is mounted remotely near the antenna. I can retune it to a new band by sending RF provided the ATU-10 is on. But after 30 minutes, I can't retune just be sending RF on a new band. I have to go an turn on the ATU-10 again. Is this expected? I would like to be able to wake the ATU-10 remotely with RF. I understand I can edit a hex value and set the ATU-10 to always stay on. How long does the battery last if it is always on? I am running the latest 1.6 firmware. 73, Steve kf7o |
Re: ATU 1000 High Impedance antenna random wire
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello David I cannot still try manual mode , but the best SWR is about 3 worse 9,99 On 50 ohm load all work fine . Now I've disassembled the inductors I should rewind them Regards NEX Il 18/06/2023 17:32, David Fainitski ha

ATU 1000 High Impedance antenna random wire
Hello
In a previous post David advised me to check
?
1) Activation of all relays
2) Inductance values
3) capacity values
?
I followed his advice and changed the Stockton to a commercial one but still having the same problem.
?
The readings are correct but the tuningt is not complete, it always leaves a lot of SWR on almost all bands, but it's fine if I put a 50 Ohm load.
The maximum inductance value is 6.4 ?H for a total value of 12 ?H this value must be increased as the post below says?

Re: can someone advise me on this please?
hi Paul,
?
reading all your posts, I can say following:
You are using a functional setup for PIC Kit programmer. (Is it PicKit 2- ??)
You are using the actual firmware 3.2 for the ATU100 (checksum DFB6 is ok, config number 3FC4 1233 is ok)
?
To program the 16F1938 you should chose at??Tab Tools -> Target VDD Source -> Auto-Detect
So you don't have to care wether power of the ATU is ON or OFF.
?
Disable Code-Protect and Data-Protect (Ctrl+P and Ctrl+D toggle the settings)?so you don't see the confirmation in red color : 'All protect' or 'Code Protect'
?
You might take a look, if on your I2C-adaptor for the 1602 LCD-Display are no bridges soldered like Dave (Hello Dave!) showed.?
Then you have to load the hex-file to the PIC Kit and adapt the values to your choice: LCD 1602 with standard I2C-bus adaptor: Cell 00 to 4E, Cell 01 to 01
?
Follow this: select the desired cell with left mouse click, it turns to blue background.
Enter now simply the new value and deselect the cell (by chosing any other cell)
?
You don't need to push the enter-button any time...
After this you can program (write) the PIC.
?
After the ATU is powered ON and only the background of the display is lit, you may adjust the contrast of the LCD by turning the poti on the adaptor-pcb. But do it slowly, the right point is quickly overridden...
Now you should be fine with your ATU. (If LCD is not recognized, try cell 00 with 7E instead)

Re: can someone advise me on this please?
Hi Paul, Have you checked that the 1602 display is working on another project such as the Arduino and if so what I2C address was it using? What is the setting of the A0, A1, A2 straps on the I2C adapter board, since this will dictate what I2C address needs to be used? |
Re: can someone advise me on this please?
dave, its the one too the left of where it says 7E on the pic you posted, the one that says 00,it just goes blue and i cant change it then, have you a pic of what it should be to work with the led?,so far nothing i tried makes it work with two 1602 led + ic2 boards i have,it works fine when i set the 7E cell to 78 but only with an oled, nothing i do seems too work with the led display tho,.thanks Paul m3vuv 73.
