Should we go "Premium"? #poll

We would need to go "Premium" in order for us to be able to build the kind of Library I think that we all would like to see. Those features include more space and bandwidth and such. We have to pass the hat to be able to afford it, since it's $220 a year. I think that it is worth it though from what I can tell. But it's not up to me alone. Hence, this poll. We'll let the group conscience decide. If you want to go Premium, yes and if the yeses win then we can start a donation thread where we can keep track of those donations and keep everything on the level. There will be no secrets here.?

As of now, with the free version, we have one gigabyte of space which would fill up very quickly if we started posting audio files especially. I alone have a huge library and I certainly would love to share some of my archives and I know some of you would, too.

So let's decide. Do we want to take full advantage of groups.io? Do we want to build this into an archives powerhouse of a forum?

I have it set to not show who responds to the poll so don't worry, your votes will remain anonymous. The poll will close when at least two-thirds of the current members have voted or when the answer becomes mathematically obvious.

Thank you for letting me be of service.

Thom

Thank you for voting. Results will be available when the poll is closed.

3–not yet. I have very limited income and it would be very difficult to do.
Thanks

UPDATE: We now have enough money to go premium for the year so you don't need to donate any longer for now but any donations that might still float in we'll just keep a credit balance and apply it towards next year. We plan to be here for a while. Thank you to all who have donated! We're going to work hard together to make this great. This is an amazing platform and we are definitely going to use it to Advantage.

ORIGINAL POST: Okay it seems to me that the group conscience has determined that we probably should do this but as always it usually comes down to the wallet so my PayPal is thombone@.... I will start a sticky thread of donations as they come in along with the amounts please leave a note in your PayPal if you want to be anonymous. I will chip in $20 myself for the first year and when we collect $200 more (total of $220 for the entire year which is cheaper and a lot less stressful than buying it monthly by far) I will then subscribe us to and turn on premium and we will start building an awesome file library and other things that only premium will let us do.

Sound good?

NOTE: PLEASE remember to choose "send to a friend" or "donation" and NOT pay for goods and services otherwise I will get charged a fee and won't get the full amount.

Sounds good. $20?on it's way. Let me know if we need more.

I must have missed the origin message. Is this about supporting the AAHL archive now on ? What about AAHL2 successor?
Pleased to join in support. Need to know the mission scope.

The mission statement is already posted? but I will further elaborate no problem. This is meant to potentially become the AAHL2 successor simply because Yahoo groups keeps cutting their group system and it's rumored that they're going to be getting rid of it soon entirely so they're not going to have a platform for much longer and this has a lot more features.

If you look at our files section we already have some of the archive in a searchable format posted and I'm working on getting more up. Going premium is about getting more space so we can have a larger archive. Among other things. I don't know anything about ios.com. Please, could you tell me what you meant by that?

Thank you.?

This is your work-correct?
(That .ios tag was a brainless iPhone autocorrect)
This is to be where the AAHL original Yahoo group archives were headed to be downloaded to and preserved as I understand it.

Also, I’m interested preserving the AAHL2 material. I’m currently a listed moderator of that Yahoo group.
