Draft Update and Bohm trade
30-minute intervals have been set for the rest of the way. Please be careful drafting (don't mistakenly pick the wrong guy) because I'll be unavailable today as I'm heading out of town for a day-long pool tournament with limited access. The Bohm trade will stand. We've all seen the email from both managers where both knew Wallner was already destined for the AAA roster. I've gotten emails from managers who are upset about the trade, and others have the buyer-beware attitude. I'm going to handle this trade and others going forward in a similar way to the JAWS movie. Attention everyone - Our beach has a shark problem. Beware! Proceed with caution! There will come a point (as in JAWS) if there are more shark attacks, the public will demand we send a boat out to deal with the shark. Hopefully this will not need to happen. Happy drafting.

AAA Draft Update
Starting tomorrow we will be going to 30-minute intervals between picks for the remainder of the draft. Everyone has done a great job keeping up. We are now around the half-way point of the draft.

AAA Strat - Annual Draft: Multiple Picks
Hello, Minnesota is willing to move next years 8th round pick for an upcoming pick.

Draft Progress
A good job by everyone through the first five rounds. Starting tomorrow morning, the time between picks will be lowered from 60 minutes to 40 minutes. As we progress into the later rounds, it will be lowered once again. Remember that the scheduled times get updated every night, so be sure to check the schedule first thing in the morning to be sure of when your pick(s) are scheduled. The GS is right up to date through the first five rounds. Use it to help plan your team usage requirements.

Looking to trade excellent relief and picks
Hi all. My roster is dominated by great relief and a lack of position players. If you have extra bodies let's make a deal.

Anyone dealing picks or players ?
just checking since I've seen a lot of people jumping onto the strat draft page.

AAA players available
Two guys in my AAA roster that could be had for 2024 pieces are Kjerstad and Wallner. They can't be on this season's active roster though since they are in my AAA level.

Chase DeLauter (OF) available

Ranked the #36 prospect on MLB.com. Chance to start the year with Cleveland's big league club if spring training goes well for him. Looking for an upcoming draft pick. Might consider other offers of players that can help this year, mainly in the OF or SP.

Lazaro Montes available. Prospect on Seattle Mariners. MLB top 100 prospect #42

Decent SPs available and Arenado wants to play for a contender too
David Peterson - 133 IP - 2.90 ERA, 1.29 WHIP Clarke Schmidt - 93 IP - 2.85 ERA, 1.18 WHIP Arenado has his bags packed and is ready to sit out instead of playing on this crappy TB team. I can slide Westburg over to 3B if needed and then would need a 2B or 3B. All offers considered, even if they don't include a 2B/3B. Looking for future pieces in all cases.

AAA Update
Nice progress on the draft guys. Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will progress to one-hour between picks, and by the current pace, I'm sure we'll be fine. Auxiliary Players - These are mostly our AA players and some of our uncarded AAA players - Strat Draft does not handle these guys when they are traded. Every time one of them is traded, I need to delete the player and re-enter them under their new team. I'm not going to keep doing this. From this point forward, The Google Sheet (GS) will be the official reference for player ownership. Since we are using SD for trades, if you are making a trade involving such a player, ADD the comment into the text section it creates when entering a trade. For example, if you're trading a AA player that doesn't exist on your SD roster, at the end of the text string created when you propose a trade on SD, simply add 'Team A also receives AA player Walker Jenkins'. Trading - NEVER enter a trade twice! This causes problems in SD. If you are not sure it went through the first time, go back and View Transactions to see if it's already there. Trading Draft Picks - SD for some stupid reason will actually allow a manager to attempt to trade picks they do not actually own. It will tell you later down the road that something doesn't look right with the picks or players selected and ask you if you want to process it anyway. If you get this message, PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUE. If two teams have traded picks ALREADY, let's say TBA owns SEA 1st pick, and SEA owns TBA 1st pick, and TBA now decides they want to move that pick again, they need to list the pick of the original owner. In this example, TBA would be trading the SEA 1st pick. Yes, this is confusing, and if you don't fully understand it, please ask me prior to entering the trade. This causes big messes in SD. Trade Winds - Last year, in our Inaugural Season, there was no trading of picks allowed. I believe at one point, there was no trading at all allowed. I set it up originally like this in order to keep the trade-bullies from altering the competitive balance of the league, in a league I set up to be very competitive. In the off-season, one of the proposed rule changes was to allow trading, which by majority, passed. Lately we have had quite a few trades be questioned for fairness. Guys - what the hell do we want? DON'T ANSWER THIS- This is a rhetorical question. We have already put one trade up for review by a group committee I appointed. There was a second one made that there were whispers about, but nobody officially asked for a trade review. Now a little birdie is telling me that other trades are being questioned privately. Here is the current rule regarding trades. If anyone believes ANY trade needs review based on the following, you must notify me by email and I will decide, or appoint a TC as noted. It is okay to question a trade made by the Commissioner. The Commissioner may dis-allow a trade if it is felt it is not in the best interest of the league. He may also appoint a panel (Trade Committee) to vote on such trades. This potential veto ability will not be abused. Trades made where both managers truly believe they are helping their teams should be allowed unless they are grossly unfair, or it is believed unethical reasons for the trade existed.

Seeking CF or Quality RPs
I am looking for good CF and quality relievers. Willing to trade draft picks and/or Jeffrey Springs (AAA) who is returning full time as a starting pitcher this year. Remember that our rules allow you to acquire additional AAA players without cutting any that you have. Please let me know if you are interested and if so, send an offer to get things rolling. Joe (Philadelphia)

Tampa - Philadelphia Trade
Ken and I are announcing this year because Strat draft is bulking at moving one of the players. Ken will manually do this in Strat draft when he can. Philadelphia sends Ryan Feltner, Josue de Paula, and Brooks Lee to Tampa. Tampa sends Zach Wheeler to Philadelphia. Ken of Tampa to confirm. Joe
