Tampa - Philadelphia Trade
Ken and I are announcing this year because Strat draft is bulking at moving one of the players. Ken will manually do this in Strat draft when he can. Philadelphia sends Ryan Feltner, Josue de Paula, and Brooks Lee to Tampa. Tampa sends Zach Wheeler to Philadelphia. Ken of Tampa to confirm. Joe

TRADE - TBA/ARN

Tampa Bay has decided their direction now (Future). Tampa sends Corey Seager to Arizona for Noah Schultz. Arizona to confirm. Zach Wheeler, David Peterson, and Nolan Arenado are the most likely players to find new homes on competitive teams soon. Wheeler for sure will require innings coming back.

Let me know who you have. Thanks

Recent BOA-KCA trade
2
This trade has been protested for not being a fair trade. These two teams please hold off on further trades until this is decided upon. I will be appointing a trade-committee to review. Keep in mind that not all trades are going to be totally equal. Usually, one team comes out with a better deal. What matters though is that both teams should have a reason for making a trade that would lead to them to being a better team either now or for the future.

AAA Draft is now open and timed
7
San Francisco is up (Mike Turpin). Picks will be scheduled from 10:00am EST to 10:00pm EST daily. They will be rescheduled on a daily basis. This will guarantee at least seven picks a day. I'm sure we'll get more than that. Once we get past the first couple of rounds, picks will be hourly.

Where are the Rays going?
Help me decide. Stuck in the middle of 'should I contend', or should I build'. Here are some pieces I can make available where hopefully someone makes an offer that can make me go in a certain direction. WIN-NOW guys Nolan Arenado - 3B-1e10 once again and good for 685 PA with some pop Zack Wheeler - no into needed. Good for 220 IP. Corey Seager - SS-3e10 tons of power, good for 580 PA Joe Ryan - Here's a win-now guy and a win-later guy, offer appropriately. WIN-LATER guys Brayan Bello, Spencer Arrighetti, Wilyer Abreu, Tristan Casas. Note that none of these are too terrible for this year, but I feel there real value is still in the future. Also have some AAA players I'd consider moving for current value in Ronny Mauricio, Curtis Mead, Alex Thomas, and Michael Kopech. Make offers, make a deal. Ken - TBA

Day #2 of the AAA Draft (un-timed)
We got through the first 9 picks yesterday, not too bad. Hopefully, we can get through the rest of the first-round before hitting timed mode tomorrow. Detroit (Rob Stricker) is currently up, followed by Toronto (Thomas Treece), and Cincinnati (Doug Winslow). Once I start the clock, the first several days will be at a slow pace. As we get into the mid and later rounds, the time between picks will decrease. Happy Drafting

Welcome to the 2025 AAA Draft
2
The draft is now open, and Yamamoto is the first guy off the board heading to the Chi-Sox. Good luck to everyone and remember that we are untimed until Saturday morning (unless someone advertises their pick for sale). Things to keep in mind when drafting. 1) We have 23 rounds in the draft, so barring trades that leaves us all with a 35-man major league roster of guys that can participate in games. Be smart with your drafting. 2) If you make uneven trades, you may wind up with more or less than the 35-man roster. 3) Note that over usage penalties can be harsh, so draft enough usage. 4) Batters .600 OPS and lower are unlimited, and pitchers with ERA of 6.00 or higher are unlimited also. It may be beneficial in the long run to utilize some of these players. 5) Any player is draftable, but not necessarily eligible to play. Be careful. To be eligible to play a pitcher needs 20 IP after the factor (17 on SD) and batters need 60 PA after factor (50 PA actual). Keep in mind SD does NOT show PA, only AB. 6) Any player who is not currently showing available, but should have been, is not draftable this year. Hopefully, all available players are correct. Holliday was showing available this morning and was quickly fixed after being drafted. I will try to keep on top of things as we progress but will make decisions on gray areas with eligibility as we go. Good luck to all and happy drafting.

AAA Strat Draft site should be completely accurate now
This includes available players as well as rosters and uncarded players added. If you see anything that doesn't look right, let me know but I think we're good now.

AAA Update
Strat Draft's conversion program left a lot to be desired this year. I have literally done at least 100 corrections based on emails from managers in my leagues. PLEASE VERIFY YOUR ROSTERS. Our draft is scheduled for Saturday, 2/8. I'm going to let the draft begin untimed a little earlier, probably Thursday, 2/6. If there are any players missing from your rosters in Strat Draft, you must report it PRIOR to the draft starting (2/6). The same goes for any players that may be missing from the draft. Once the draft begins, the player pool is locked. There are also several reports of players showing up multiple times on their rosters, as well as players missing from the bottom of the My Competition screen which displays YTD stats. I'm going to try to keep rosters and stats current on the GS, so please let me know if you see any discrepancies there as well. Ken

SD Conversions
All my leagues have been converted to the 2024 players. Please check your rosters. I am very disappointed in the number of errors that have occurred to this point with the SD Conversion process. If you see a player listed twice on your roster, there's no need to let me know about that. It's a bug in SD. There are also a number of players that are not appearing on the lower part of the page under My Competition, which is where the current YTD stats are. This is also a bug in SD, and no need to report this. What you should let me know though is if any player MISSING from your roster. 1. If you protected an uncarded player, they will NOT be shown on SD now. I will have to add them as Auxiliary players next week when I get back home.

Open Leagues
Hi guys, I have one open spot in each of two 20 team CM leagues. Both leagues are long running (one is 30ish years old, the other formed by people who couldnt get into that one) well run and fun. Departing team is average in each case. If anyone is interested in being considered, please let me know ASAP

IMPORTANT UPDATE
2
The SD site has just converted from the 2023 players to the 2024 players. This means I need to restore files and check recent transactions to insure everything is correct. Unfortunately, this occurs at a time that I had to travel to Michigan for 5 days because of a gravely ill brother-in-law. Please do not send condolences. I'll be back Saturday night and then have an all-day pool tournament on Sunday. So it may be as late as Monday that I will have everything back up and accurate. Ken

AAA Update
Hello all. Just a reminder that our draft will begin on Saturday, Feb 8th. We are less than 3 weeks away. SOM has released the ratings guide on their website for purchase ($17 download). This includes all info from the actual cards this year. I believe they will be accepting orders for the game sometime around when we draft.

AAA Update
3
Just a reminder that our draft will start untimed a month from today on 2/8. SOM's fielding ratings are available on the strat-o-matic.com website now for free and their full ratings will be available (for purchase) in approximately one week. Trading: 1. You guys may openly trade without limitation on roster space now that cuts have been made. Please remember though, there are only 23 rounds in the draft, so if you trade away too many players or picks, you will play with less than a 35-man roster (not recommended). The site currently shows rounds past Round #23, but they will be deleted. 2. Now that cuts are in, picks later Round #7 may be traded for the upcoming draft. 3. You may now have more than (2) AA players after trades are made. 4. If trading for a AAA player, remember that they are not eligible to play in any games this year. Once designated as AAA, they stay AAA for the entire year. Looking forward to a great season!

Final Cuts are in
Happy New year everyone! Thanks to everyone for getting their cuts and AAA assignments in on time. If you look at the 2025 tab on the Google Sheet (GS) and scroll all the way to the right, you will see the draft order. This is based on the total team WAR values from lowest to highest. I will wait until tomorrow before I update the SD site with the order. Here are some things I changed on the GS. 1) All WAR values have been verified and changed where needed. For instance, where some players were listed in WAR file with a 'Jr.' at the end of their name or a tilde on their name, the values displayed a #NA# instead of a value. I corrected the file to retrieve proper WAR values. 2) All WAR values of protected players that were lower than 0.0 were set to 0.0. This was actually done previously, and the purpose was to prevent teams from trying to gain an advantage in draft order. 3) All WAR values of your AAA players were set to 0.0 so they did not count in your team WAR totals. 4) All IP, AB, and BB of your AAA players were set to 0 in order to give you accurate numbers on your team's available usage for IP and PA. (AAA players may not be used in games) 5) Any team who was awarded a bonus protect had their lowest WAR value deducted from their team total. If you see any mistakes (you shouldn't), notify me today. Here is the draft order pending corrections. Chicago (AL) Kody Richardson Atlanta Russ Mount San Diego Richard Deyerle St. Louis Tim Schumacher New York (NL) Nevin Breedon Chicago (NL) Kurt Hirtzer Arizona Eric Kesselman Milwaukee Jimmy Rogers Washington Steve Belmont Detroit Rob Stricker Oakland Brook Hoffman Cincinnati Doug Winslow Minnesota Jeremy Byrd New York (AL) Jim Lanahan Boston Patrick Barclay Tampa Bay Ken Christianson San Francisco Mike Turpin Kansas City Steve Fidler Pittsburgh Jeffrey Moss Houston Jay Linsley Toronto Thomas Treece Baltimore Leo Teikel Seattle Greg Martino Philadelphia Joe Potts
