Re: Meaning of di-di-di-dah-di
Hello Atsu san,
you may consult: Recommendation ITU-R M.1677-1 (10/2009) International Morse code by the International Telecommunication Union on page 3, several signals/prosigns/abbreviations are shown E.g. Understood . . . ? . Error (eight dots) . . . . . . . . Recommendations M.1170 and M.1172 may also be of interest ( see ) To my knowledge "Understood" ( ligature <VE> or <SN> ) is not used in amateur radio service. CU 73 Tom, DF7TV |
Re: Meaning of di-di-di-dah-di
Glad to help you Atsu. I took part to the JIDX last weekend and worked 49 JA stations, perhaps some A1CLUB member as well. See you next. 73 Fabio, IK0IXI Il giorno mer 13 apr 2022 alle ore 10:45 ATSU JE1TRV/JS2AHG <je1trv@...> ha scritto:

Re: Meaning of di-di-di-dah-di
HI Atsu. The di-di.di.dah-di comes from the old telegraph lines and it means VE (Verified or Confirmation). Today's hams use it as QSL or R. 161 Fabio, IK0IXI Il giorno mer 13 apr 2022 alle ore 09:17 ATSU JE1TRV/JS2AHG <je1trv@...> ha scritto: Hello |
Meaning of di-di-di-dah-di
Hello
As you know well, in case of International Morsecode, the code of 8 dits ........ or di-di-di-di-di-di-di-di is the code for "correction". On the other hand, in case of Japanese Morsecode (WABUN), the code ...-. or di-di-di-dah-di means "correction". But we sometimes hear di-di-di-dah-di sent by non-JA stations. So, I'd like to ask anyone outside JA, how did you know that code and meaning of that code. Is there any book or website which shows that code for correction? Tks in advance 73 Atsu, JE1TRV |
My "most wanted" Japanese Prefectures // SKEDs offered
Hello,
at present I am working to the KCJA award. For the basic award there are 100 band slots of Prefectures of Japan to be confirmed by QSL card, LoTW or eQSL to achieve the goal. Checking my log I see that, at present, I have 88 band slots confirmed so far. My "most wanted" Japanese Prefectures at present are: 22: Kyoto 23: Shiga 29: Fukui 34: Tottori 37: Tokushima 44: Oita 45: Miyazaki 47: Okinawa So, if you are QRV from one of these Prefectures on one or more of the shortwave bands (preferred 40m to 10m), I would be very glad to fix SKEDs on one or several bands with you. I'll do the QSO at your preferred CW speed. Please reply to me either on this list or in a private email to " df7tv (at) mailbox.org " Arigatou CU 73 DF7TV/Tom |
