Am I missing something?

I have a fairly large gap at the peak on the drivers side. The door side is good. Am I missing something or should I ask what do I need to do with this?

You might have a missing or twisted piece of weatherstripping up there.? Or maybe the roof halves are not seated properly.? You'll have to get up there on a stepladder and take a look.?

For the short pieces of weatherstripping on my trailer, I've found that the typical adhesive backing on the weatherstripping doesn't hold.? I have to use Permatex weatherstripping adhesive to glue them down:

I can't get rid of all the light coming through on those corners on my trailer, but I have a lot less than in your picture.? But mine has never leaked at that spot.

I'd definitely check the seal.? My 2009 had a prior owner.? He didn't strike me as the DIY type, but I don't know. I bought in 2017, so he had it for eight years.? But in conversations with Aliner, I have learned that some of my seals are not what it came with.? Both of my A walls have the hollow rubber "D" seal.? Aliner says they have never used that style on the A walls.? Only 3/4 x 3/4 foam, which would probably give a more conformable surface at the roof frame.

Here is a file on the seal kit.? To me, the A wall seal looks rather rounded.

Maybe your trailer isn't level. I have a lot of trouble with the roof/sidewall fit if I don't get it perfectly level, and sometimes if I do! Lately I've needed to take it out of level to make them fit. If the unit isn't level when you erect he roof the top and bottom roof sections will scrape against each other on one side and the weatherstrip will be damaged.?

The side walls certainly do not seal well and there always seems to be a gap in various places. Truthfully, I¡¯ve never had any water leakage because the aluminum fascia on the outside creates an adequate overlap, but what is definitely a problem is mosquitoes! I¡¯ve found that unless that gap is sealed we are plagued by the biters! A work around is pushing mosquito netting into the space between the side wall and the roof, and we do this every time we set up

I use and expandable painters pole over the table side, to push each side a little tighter. Wedge it on the aluminum edge so it pushes each side out. Also makes a way to hang a towel up to dry.

Hi Gang:

The expanding pole does work, but you are pushing something fairly rigid, the wall, against the very flexible roof flange, a strip of aluminum barely 2mm thick. We use toggle clips to pull the flexible flange to the rigid wall:

Not too hard to screw and bolt on, and very effective. If you still have gaps, look at adding foam rubber seals.

Hi Carl. Do you have a picture of the clips on the roof piece before they are engaged? Do you have a link to a source? Thanks -David Smith

I've been thinking of making a new adjustable strike plates for the lever locks.? And another factor is the walls can get bent at the point where the latches are.? Mine are.? I think it was Brian that capped the walls with another aluminum channel.? I did drill out the bolt holes and add spacers sothe channel wouldn't get crushed when tightening the latch bolt.? ?
