Rubber/foam strip

Hi members, I'm not very familiar with navigating this platform so am asking for help identifying the rubber/foam strip that is adhered to the exterior roof panel. ?It cushions the two panels when the roof is collapsed, and runs from one side to the other. ?What is it called and where can I find info on replacing it? ?Mine has become detached.

Aliner is probably the best source, although their shipping and handling is killing me.? LOL? It is simply called rubber roof seal.? I bought my last from McMaster.com but it was by the roll, and would do three campers.? After receiving it, I noticed it had an expiration date on the adhesive back.? So it may not have been a great idea.

I ordered mine from Aliner in Pa. You can scrape off the old with a putty knife and clean with isopropyl alcohol. The new one will have a self adhesive side when you peel off the paper.?

A word of caution when installing the roof seal.? Gained from personal experience.? Roll out the material and allow it to acclimate to your weather conditions.? When setting it in place, DO NOT stretch it, as it will shrink later and you will no longer have full coverage.? Remember the personal experience comment.? I would let it overhang the roof edge on both sides and leave it as long as you can allow the camper to be open.? Then trim as necessary later.

I just replaced my rear roof weatherstripping last summer with a product I bought from amazon.? It was 1/5th the price of the stuff from Mcmaster-Carr.? Haven't had it out in the rain yet, so don't know if it makes black streaks, but in less than a year it's shedding a black powder.? It won't last long.? Next time I buy this from Mcmaster Carr (the ultra soft stuff):

Thank you Dave.
This is the video that I mentioned, I did get it slightly out of line and you can see that in the video, but not very much. I did get my seal from Aliner.? I noticed my original was 4 in wide and the replacement was 5 in.
Use my video as a guideline, it may not be exactly the right way to do it but it worked for me.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to update my post.? Since I'm in Canada, ordering from McMaster is not an option, and I anticipate shipping from A-Liner to be quite expensive so I did some research and found a similar product sold here in Canada at Grainger.? It's an EPDM Neoprene SBR adhesive Strip, soft, 25' L x 4" W x 1/2" thick.? I'll pop by their Victoria store this morning and check it out, if all goes well it will be put on (with a bit of extra length to allow for shrinkage) for camping this weekend.
