Exploring London (Tatia/open)

Tatia walked the streets of London alone after having abandoned her original plan of staying in this evening. Normally whenever she did that it involved doing a ‘head dive’ in order to visit with her friend who spent a century at a time sleeping thanks to a spell her aunt had bound her to centuries ago. But tonight with the others out having a night on the town she thought...’Why not?’

?

She drew a breath as fingers lightly brushed against the simple silver ring with the lapis lazuli stone that had come to be referred to as a ‘daylight ring’ by those who knew it allowed her to move about in the sun without burning. Briefly thinking back to the woman who’d created it for her only after having turned her into a vampire.?

?

She supposed that she should on some level be grateful to Esther for saving her life. But it was also difficult not to blame her as well because had she not turned her own children into the same kind of monster previously then that day in the woods would not have ended with Elijah nearly killing her. No she might have actually had the intended conversation with Niklaus and her life had been very different.

?
There she was, and without Mina with her.? Why? What had happened.? Materializing in front of her with no care for anyone who may notice, a lot could be explained by London Fog,?the vampire calling himself Sariel?grasped her upper arm, not quite hard enough to hurt, willing to give her time to explain.
"Where is Mina?"
His eyes under thick dark brows were a glittering green that seemed to pear into her own and past them, in a gaze that was more forceful than demanding.
Some had seen him have social graces, but he was admittedly lacking those of late, being pushed to his limits and not feeling very civilized at all.? It didn't seem that it had served him of late, after all.

Ordinarily she was more aware of things going on around her but in that moment Tatia’s mind had been somewhere else as thoughts of centuries ago filled her head. Days spent walking through the woods. Two suitors. Brothers. Her mind was made up. She’d decided who it was that she wanted to be with but she’d never gotten the chance to tell Niklaus. Instead she’d nearly died at the hands of his brother.

She dimly recalled the coppery taste in her mouth moments before having her throat slit. When next she opened her eyes the fire was so bright it hurt her eyes and every sound was amplified. The doppelg?nger has assumed she was alone until she caught sight of Esther approaching with a small bowl in hand. She remembered the overwhelming fear she’d felt in that moment.

The brunette was hesitant when she’d been instructed to drink the contents of the bowl but when it was pressed against her lips and the scent reached her nostrils it was like her body was acting on its own. She’d hurriedly swallowed every drop of the red liquid. With that her fate was sealed.

Her fear and confusion were pushing her to flee from that place though when she’d tried Esther’s magic had prevented her escape. Even as the witch explained the reasons she couldn’t leave just yet her mind was racing trying to make sense of it all and deep down she’d wished Niklaus was there. Perhaps if he had been she would’ve been calmer and not ran the moment she was presented with her daylight ring.?

All she could think about was she needed to be somewhere that felt safe...to be as far away from the one who’d nearly killed her and the woman who’s dark magic made her into a monster as she could possibly get. Through the centuries since that night the stories she’d heard had kept her from ever going to Niklaus.

Tatia was visibly startled as she found herself suddenly face to face with an unfamiliar man whose hand now gripped her upper arm. It took a moment for his words to register. “Who is Mina?” Her response was somewhat delayed in her confusion.?

?
His new allies had not told him that there were two...twins then?? But not precisely...She did not precisely smell the same.? Drawing in a breath, he peered hard into her eyes with the hard glare of an animal.
"I see that you have no idea of whom I speak...Fine then...Why is it that you look exactly like the wife of my enemy?? Have you any idea of that?"
His tone was an odd mix of confused and threatening, which was alright with him as it was exactly how he was feeling at present.
