Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)
Victor nodded when Elizabeth stated that she would like to stay there at the house for a few days, and that she didn't feel she were ready for the world yet.? "We will stay here as long as you feel you need to do so," he reassured.? "i'm afraid, however, that most of the new inbventions are at the lab, but yes there is...a library here with plenty of books in it, though most are about science, but you are welcome to read them."? He kissed her lightly on the lips when she said he had a beautiful home, "thank you, and yes, we...do... have a beautiful home," he gently corrected her, "You never would have had it any other way, and I for one, am glad of it."? He walked her slowly down the hall, "this here, is the library," he told her, pointing to shelves of books, taking down one he thought she would find particularly interesting, "the Science of charm and beauty," he read aloud, "although I must say, you could give the authors quite a number of lessons on the subject, simply by your appearance alone.? Now, would you care to read a while, or, would you prefer that bath first, and reading later?" |

"You have such a nice home," she commented heading for the door.?? She laughed a full throated laugh as Victor carried her over the? threshhold.? "Aw, your so romantic," she said kissing him on the cheek.?? "I'd like to look around a bit.? You must show me all of the inventions? I've missed," she said excitedly.? "Is there a library here," she? asked.? There was so much she wanted to know.? And in a way she couldn't? describe she felt she must rush the experence, as if her time in life? again would be limited.? She certainly hoped not and she felt Victor? would do whatever he could for her. |

Helsing nodded, "I know, but many times that is easier said than done."? He gave a slight smile when she spoke of vampires being better at hypnosis, "well, those up there are definitely awake," he replied, nodding to her suggestion about darkening his spectacles.? He gave her a look of incredulity when she asked if he wanted her to go back up there with him and finish talking with them.? "I am sure I would love to have your company, as they say, the more the merrier, but...what about you?? I most certainly do not want you getting hurt; so, I shall leave that to your better judgement, which has seemed to serve you well so far.? I certainly wouldn't blame you if you choose not to go, just...look out for yourself ?and don't get hurt.? That...would make me very angry," he gave her a goodnatured smile as he said this. |

"You shouldn't feel...close to them,"Natari told Van Helsing, once again against her better judgment.
"You should consider the fact that you're not the only one good at hypnosis. Vampires excel and you may be good but when we're awake, I think for now we are better."
?
She sighed.
"I suggest finding yourself some method of?darkening for your spectacles so they can't look into your eyes," she said, gesturing at the small round eye glasses he wore.
?
Her green eyes once more flicked to the door, knowing she should be going through it but she sighed again.
?
"Do you want me to go back up with you to finish talking with them?"
?
Unwise as anything, was she that bored, she wondered, her own mental voice beginning to sound alarmed. Oliver would chain her in silver for days were he to hear about this one.

Helsing nodded, "for now, it is," he stated, concerning the werwolf situation, "though who can say how long that will last."? He gave her a look of understanding when she spoke of being younger than the main one there, and that she should leave, and call later.? His expression held true concern for her when she stated that she could get herself killed for advising him.? "Then I shall warn you, as you have warned me, I appreciate your kindness in warning me, but you must ttake your own advice, and have a care for your own safety and well[being.? I am not showing them all I have, though it is quite tempting, as I never knew until meeting you that your kind could be so friendly; it feels in many ways as if I've known them for...many years, but perhaps that is all the more reason I should be werry of them, yes?"? His face saddened when she said she should probably leave, "truly a pity the circumstances are not such as to facilitate your staying a while longer," he commented, "I do not wish anything to happen to you on my account, on...anyone's account, for that matter."? He gave a slight chuckle at his own quip; "I will put forth my best endeavor to be as careful as possible, but you...see that you do the same." |

Natari shook her head when Van Helsing asked if she had any ideas or suggestions on how to discover the motive of the vampires he was now dealing with.
?
?
"I am younger than the main one I can sense. So no. I would not be as strong."
?
She glanced toward the door pensively.
?
"One reason I should perhaps leave for now and call again at a later date. I simply wished to make sure the werewolf situation was under control."
?
Of course she could've remained longer to pass the time were it safer but now she was on edge.
?
"Just be careful. Do it without telling them what you're doing or sharing. They want something from you you need to hold some of the power."
?
She let out a breath and shook her head, an expression of exasperation crossing her face.
?
"I could get myself killed for advising you oon anything," she said with another sigh.

Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)
"Oh, well that makes sense," Helsing replied when Natari stated that she read his expression.? He sensed that she wanted to say more, but chose not to, and he, chose not to pry into what appeared to be her own personal business.? He considered what she said about them wanting information from him first, then nodded when she warned him to be careful.? "I will," he assured her, "and what you say about killing me after getting their information makes sense, but they...want to become human again."? He paused, looking at her intently, his assured expression gradually giving way to one of doubt, as he softly murmured, "Or...do they?"? He looked around the room, then back at Natari, as thoughts crossed his mind that had not previously done so; "THEY COULD...SIMPLY BE SAYING...THEY WANT TO BECOME HUMANS AGAIN, THEN ONCE THEY KNO THE SECRETS OF IT, THEY COULD KILL ME, AND EITHER REMAIN AS VAMPIRES, OR, TAKE THE CREDIT FOR BECOMING HUMAN AGAIN ON THEIR OWN, SELL THE SECRETS AND make money..."? He didn't like thinking of the possibilities, but who could say?? " He nodded when she said that vampires were like mortals, with some bad and some good, "Yes I...think I am beginning to understand that," he told her, "It's just that there is no real way of knowing what their real plans are."? He looked at her, watching for any hint that she might kbnow of some way, "any ideas?" he inquired.? |

"I couldn't read your mind," Natari said with a small amused smile. Perhaps she should've left that part alone but oh well.
?
"I read your expression. I didn't know it was a knife, just that you had something you were thinking about using."
?
She closed her mouth before explaining how his expression had been telling. She couldn't tell all her secrets.
?
?
When he said if the ones upstairs had wanted to kill him they'd have already done so she gave him a disapproving look.
?
"You're slipping and I only hope it's not my fault," she said with a slight bit of regret in her voice.
?
"If they would prefer to gain information from you first, it pays to leave you breathing. If they want something from you they could kill you after you've given it to them. I understand I spent a few conversations defending my people. I mean what I said but vampires are like mortals. Some good and some bad. It's simply easier for vampires to get away with being bad," she said, her expression openly showing her distaste for that fact.
?
?
?
?
?
"Just be careful," she told Helsing of the other vampires and shrugged.
?
"As for the cross...I believe it's in the mind. In the way you understand it through hypnosis. If someone believes something they can cause physical manifestations. If the vampire believes holy water and crosses will harm them, they will. If one feels they have no reason to fear god, they can wear their cross and attend midnight mass."
?
She shrugged slender shoulders. "This is only my educated?theory, of course?I have no proof."

Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)
An expression of shock registered on Van Helsing's face when Natari mentioned his thought of a knife, and stated what said weapon would do.? He had heard of some vampires reading thoughts and the like, but to his recollection this was the first time he had experienced it.? "How did you know i WAS..." HE STARTED TO SAY, THINKING OF A KNIFE, BUT THEN REMEMBERD, SHE WAS, A VAMPIRE AFTER ALL, SO OF COURSE SHE WOULD KNOW, UNLESS SHE CHOSE NOT TO KNOW.? "i SHALL HAVE TO BE FAR MORE CAREFUL WHAT i THINK IN YOUR PRESENCE IN THE FUTURE, i SUPPOSE," HIS OWN TONE WAS MUSING AS HE SPOKE.
?
He felt the added weight of someone on his lap, before his eyes even registered that she had moved; he struggled, thinking he should be able to get her off him quickly enough, since she?was not at all heavy, and was using no extra force to hold him down.? His countenance only began to show a measure of fright when he found he could not...remove her so easily.? "What in God's name are you doing?" He tried to sound more forceful rather than frightened, shaking his head when she spoke of braking his wrists for merely thinking of?using a knife on her.? "I think it is a most horrible idea," his tone was soft, in his attempt to exercise at least a measure of calm.? "If the others upstairs wanted to kill me, I believe they'd have already done so," his tone was not angry, but controled as he spoke with her.? He reached to take her hand away when she ran it up his neck, and under his collar.? His eyes widened with sudden amazement ??when she withdrew his silver cross.? "That will burn you to a crisp, it isn't like yours, you know," he warned, remembering how he had been surprised that she even owned a cross.? His expression became one of awe as he saw that it was not...burning her to a crisp, nor at first, did she seem in any particular hurry to put it down.? He gave a slow nod of understanding when she stated that her cross was not charmed or special, as he had decided it likely was, and this was likely the only way she could keep it near her.? "I...suppose not," he replied to her comment about her own cross, "but, how?...it is unheard of, impossible, at least it's supposed...to be impossible."? He wondered idly just how long she could actually hold it before feeling any ill affects, or, perhaps she wouldn't feel any at all.? He looked relieved when she let it drop, picking it up and returning it to its place underneath his collar.? He nodded when she spoke of being more cautious and not warning him, "then I am glad you are perhaps not as cautious as most would be," he replied, "as for being bored, "I'm finding I would much rather have you bored than angry."?"Fear me?" he responded when she spoke of this, "that seems rather out of the realm of possibility, hate, perhaps, detest, but...fear?"? He nodded with growing understanding as she spoke of being good with God, and?that he did not burn her with the cross,? "Perhaps it is even so," he replied, giving her an amazed look that, once more, he had felt the release of pressure on his lap before he had seen her move, and looking more amazed at her unruffled ?demeanor back in her chair.? "I suppose I had...forgotten about your speed and strength, it shall likely not happen again, as your actions this evening have served as a very poinient reminder."? He paused to study her expression, then said, "but tell me, were you in my place, what would you...do about these others upstairs?? They have, after all, come to me for help?? Shall I show harshness and attempt to kill such ones, merely as a result of my own fear?? And if I did this, would I not be infinitely lower than the most evil of creatures, which ever kind they be?? For it would appear that there are reasonable, even kind vampires, just as there are equally unreasonable, cruel humans.? Shall excessive fear govern and squelch kindness and mercy?? My life will not end until my...maker deams that it will, and far worse than death, is living with fear, for it is indeed a most cruel governor; therefore," he continued, "I submit that it is neither wise to be fearful in excess, nor to live in the absence of all caution, balance...must be the governor of all life, for it is balance which ever connects the hands of caution, and kindness., yes?"? He looked inquiringly at her, eager to hear her answers and thoughts on the matter. |

Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)
"No worries, I have many such creams, lotions, and potions at home to help in just that, not that you look bad to me at all, I am just so glad to have you back with me," Victor replied, attempting to see her side, as well as his own.? "He had no right to show such extreme fright to a customer," he stated, the memory of how fearful he had been of Frank, seeming to ooze itself once more into his conscious level of thinking.? He once more did his best to suppress the oozing of the open emotional sore back into his subconscious recesses, where he believed it belonged until he could find a way to permanently expunge the entire nightmare from his mind.? He couldn't help but chuckle when her stomach growled, smiling that this, too was a definite sign of life; "You have had only a few bites of food, but I shall have the servants prepare whatever you like; what would you say to...roasted chicken, potatoes, various mixed vegetables, and those fluffy rolls you always loved?? Is this good with you, or shall I have them prepare something else?"? As he awaited her reply, he gave her his arm to help her to step up onto the curb near their home.? His home was modest enough, at least from the outside.? "Now, just a few more steps of the walk and...here we are, my love, home sweet home, as some would say."? He held the door open for her, "after you," he told her, stepping back so that she could enter, then reaching his arm out as if to stop her from doing just that.? "I never got to do this after the wedding," he told her, "so now...is the appropriate time;" he gently gathered her into his arms, and proudly walked across the threshhold, into their home, where he placed?her on the large sofa, and sat beside her.? "Welcome home, my Elizabeth," he murmured in her ear, even as he softly kissed it.? "Now, if you will?simply wait here, I shall have the maid servant prepare you a?bath of warm water, perfumed with that lavinder and rose of which we spoke moments ago.? Of course you are welcome to look around a bit, but the bath should not be that long in preparation."? He would await her reply before ringing for the servants, then stating, "Norra, go now and prepare a rose-lavinder bath for this, the new mystress of the home, for she is newly returned to us, and I would have her appropriately welcomed here, with all manner of civilities?befitting ?a lady, and not just any...lady, my...lady."

Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)
Victor nodded, moving closer in an attempt to comfort Elizabeth, "I think you will find that you feel much better after a bath," he commented, his tone sincere, "and I think you will find that most, if not all people will see you as very lovely, and they will not think that you have fallen at all."? He looked somewhat surprised when she stated that she wanted to sleep after the bath, she had been sleeping for years, after all, but he supposed she now needed the natural sleep of life, as opposed to the absolute stillness and nothingness of death.? "That is quite understandable," he told her, "and when you awaken, I shall have the servants to prepare for you, a real meal, that is, unless you would prefer at that time to go out?"? He gave her a look of gratitude for her concern when she said he did not look as if he felt well; she obviously still remembered the difference in one who was feeling well and one who was not.? "I have been working almost round the clock and, I suppose it is all, at long last, catching up to me, I am just...so, tired."? He gave her an apologetic look, "Oh, please, do forgive me, love, I should be brimming to the overflow with excitement at your return, I should be skipping along like a schoolboy at the privilege of having you here walking beside me; please believe me when I say that within my heart, I am doing just that, but I fear I have been keeping some rather late hours in the lab and, not exactly eating properly, and a body can only do this for so long before one must pay the price, at least in small measure.? Anyway," he continued, "we are almost home, and after your bath, perhaps we will both...sleep, and get some much-needed rest."? He knew that for now at least, he was safe, but this reasoning would only hold for so long before it began to ware thin, he hoped that by that time, the inner ghost which tormented him would? be long gone, merely a forgotten figment of the workings of an over-taxed mind and body, working with far less than what was needed to function.

along with Victor.? "I suspect that will be the reaction I'm likely to? get.? Maybe I'll look better over time.? A bath would be lovely," she? sighed.? Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)
Natari couldn't tell that Helsing was thinking of a specific weapon, but she'd seen the fleeting expression on humans enough times to k now he was thinking of some method of defense. She laughed softly, her expression chiding.
"I must have caused you to lose your wits, for you surely know better than most how that would go. A knife would only hurt, anger me, and make things worse for you."
?
Then she was across the room faster, literally, than he could blink. To human eyes she would've seem relaxed in the chair in one second and less than that later, she was on him. The human eye would not have seen her move. Sitting on Helsing's lap, she had him pressed against his chair, no matter she was slender and looked too delicate to hold a man down, even if he man wasn't that large.
?
"I should break your wrists for the mere thought,"? she murmured. "Just to remind you not to get killed by those others upstairs. What do you think?"
?
The question was put softly, nearly conversationally.
?
"And perhaps this is how I am not like humans any longer. Because the thought occurs to me now to do this, simply because I can. When one develops abilities, one can do that which one could not do before. Things occur to one."
?
She did not sound angry in the least, more musing. Reaching a hand in a near caress up to Helsing's neck she ran her slender fingers down under the thick fabric of?his collar and withdrew the silver cross he wore.
?
"See? I can touch yours too. Mine isn't charmed or special."
?
She held the pendant between her fingers before letting it drop. In a blink she was off of him and back across the room, seated like any prim lady, completely unruffled as though she had never moved.
?
"I fear you forget...and underestimate. Were I more cautious I would not bother to warn you...Were I less bored I would kill you and become a hero to my race for many fear Abraham Van Helsing."
?
She sighed. "I have become very bored, though, so here we are."
?
She smiled again, thee expression nearly gentle.
?
?
?
When Helsing spoke of humans doing worse to one another at times she nodded. "Precisely. Perhaps that's how I live with myself.I think so in part."
?
She'd considered this more than once and her own maker had expressed as much. To his musings of it being the time of those who were killed to die she shrugged.
?
"I like to think so in some cases. I don't know. God does not burn me with the cross, but then if you ask me others can't touch it out of mere psychological r reasons. I am good with God so I do not fear he feels me a demon."

Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)
Helsing had nodded with understanding the day Natari had explained vampirism, comparing it to tigers and the survival of the fittest.? He now listened thoughtfully, still remaining calm, despite her exasperation, which now appeared to be more within her own self, than with him.? When she showed her fangs, he seemed to be reminded afresh that she was indeed, a vampire and not human.? "Now now," he urged with gentle caution, "there is no need for that."? He glanced away, thinking of showing her a small knife which he had tucked away in his desk, then thought better of it, nodding when she said she could likely take him.? "You probably could at that," he admitted, "but it is a mute point, since neither of us has the desire to show those more base abilities within us."? He was now thinking of her killing homeless people, as well as what she had told him of her own maker.? "I would never hunt either of you down to kill you in your sleep," he reassured, "your maker sounds indeed like a good man, showing mercy to those from which he feeds, rather than allowing them to have the memories; they do a good thing for him, and he...in turn it would seem, does good for them.? Would that the same could be said for other full humans; sadly, many such humans act more inhumane than those of your kind, or I should say, those of your kind who share your point of view."? He had heard of time after time where humans simply wounded and killed one-another for no apparent reason, and he considered this just as evil as what vampires or the majority of vampires did.? "Maybe, it is no one's place to play judge in the matter," he mused aloud, maybe we're all guilty of something, which we ourselves justify, but to others, seems an attrocity.? Maybe you, and the others, would actually not be allowed to take a life if..." he paused, having never considered what he was about to say before, "if it weren't the chosen time for that life to end?"? It came as a question, one to which he as of now had no answer, and doubted whether anyone else had or not.? He nodded when she asked if the others wanted to become human again; "well, yes, it would appear to be so."? He glanced away again, wishing she hadn't reminded him of those fangs; he could almost forget that she was not human, was a vampire, one of the creatures he hunted and killed, but those fangs...those fangs reminded him always what she was, of what he killed, of what he hated, but he couldn't help asking himself, did he truly hate them as much as he had believed?? Were they really that evil?? Would one say that animals were evil for killing for food?? But she had much more intelligence than a mere predator of the animal kingdom.? "So, you would not have been here right now, had it not been for your maker who saved your life by making you a vampire," he stated, wondering to himself, had someone else...someone much higher than he, had a plan for her to live?? What if part of that plan had been to warn him, and had she not become a vampire, what then?? "I...I never thought I would say this of one of your kind but, but I am glad you are...still here, in some ways you seem more human than...sadly, many humans."?

Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)
"They gave you their word," Natari said flatly, her tone dry and openly sarcastic.
?
She shook her head in exasperation.
?
?
"I gave you my word and thus set a bad example. I thought we both understood that not all vampires are me."
?
Yet hadn't she spoken out for more of the race than not? Hell. She sighed, now confused as well as exasperated with herself. She had compared vampires to tigers, explaining the survival of the fittest concept when he spoke of killing people to live?being wrong and evil. On this they disagreed. She felt vampires wre more, stronger, faster, obviously required blood for a reason so why not have the right to take it if they could. He felt most of them were evil and to her display of being able to touch a cross without being burned unlike most of her kind, he had been speechless those few days back. She was attempting?to prove that not all vampires were evil or soulless demons as he believed. She said that she did not feel that god hated her and that her own maker was a good man and had never killed anyone. He took blood from donors even if said donors never remembered it. He surrounded himself with a circle of human friends and businessmen and drank small amounts from them erasing their memory of it so that they may not have conflict in their souls. Rather? than bothering with such a complicated social situation, Natari merely fed from and killed homeless people. A one stop meal from people who had given up as she saw it and those society didn't want. On this they disagreed, but for all that she didn't plan to harm one who was not food and who hadn't harmed her. She would not, could not say the same for many of her kind. There were some who were different, and not all were bad. If he saw this, but in a way that would get him killed, it would be a sad waste, she decided.
?
?
?
When Helsing said that he would not kill her, Natari laughed. Tossing back her head, the pretty dark haired young woman allowed her fangs to show as her eyes flashed. In a lady's formal green velvet evening dress she may be, but just then she looked the dangerous predator.
?
"Were you to try right now, I believe it would be unfortunate but I could take you. I hear you kill them in their sleep. Discovering where they rest. I will not be so careless as to hand out my friend's address with whom I stay while on this visit to London."
?
Lot that she hadn't come to him injured and slept here in his very bed 2 nights ago while he took the chair. He could've killed her then but she had played on the edge. Perhaps to annoy Oliver, yes that was pay back and perhaps to challenge Helsing for they had already set up a sort of truce and friendship then. She had already helped to restrain the werewolf after all so yes, foolish or not she had trusted him.
?
Settling back into the chair she sighed as her smile faded at his question of recalling her humanity.
?
"Do I? I recall the night I would've died had my maker not turned me into what I am now. I remember going out very clearly and why I went out. To buy a purse I saw in the market earlier. I hadn't had time to stop then and was worried it would be sold by the morrow. It was from Egypt and I knew I'd never see another. I found my father's curfew annoying and no one had time to go with me. I felt being a woman of 25 years, I had the right to go into bloody town and buy a bloody purse if I wanted."
?
She smiled briefly.
?
?
"I was wrong. I was stabbed and robbed, but I kept that purse."?
?
She laughed.
?
"I still have it. It's made of metal so unlike leather won't rot over time. as I gave up my human life for it I suppose that's only fitting," she said ironically.
?
"But...As time passes, it's been 300 years, it is harder to relate sometimes to the weakness of mortality. I don't know that my personality changed that much. I did see less and less of my family. I did not want them to notice me not aging and make up only does so much even in the most skilled of hands. I never was overly skilled. My parents were happy that Vitto took me under his wing and that I p prospered. We were merchants and so is my maker," she explained.?
?
She hadn't given Helsing his name and she never would, just in case.
?
"I always wanted more excitement, to see and do more and I suppose I took to vampirism more easily because it afforded me such. My family never knew that I was or that Vitto was. He is so human, he never lost that," she said fondly.
?
"I guess I would've gotten more upset ath te rampant bloody feasts I see at vampiric parties. I would have been horrified. I suppose the fact that I am only disgusted now makes me less human to someone like you so perhaps that is the difference," she concluded with a shrug.
?
?
Interesting to answer such a question as she hadn't given it a great deal of thought before, Natari mused silently to herself.
?
?
?
"So that's what this lot want? To be made human again?"
?
She had of some vampires who wanted such a thing, so if this were true, it was logical, she supposed.

Helsing remained calm, despite Natari's exasperation; he looked considering as she spoke.? "True enough, I suppose," he replied, looking as if he had genuinely never considered any of this before.? "But they gave me their word, and I believe they came to be a bit differently than most; the whole thing has little, if any logic, so I am not sure how to answer you, except to say that, I...well I, trust them in a manner of speaking, perhaps the same way I trust...you."? He glanced away to hide a slight blush as he wondered to himself, had he...just said that?? And, why?? Sure the others had spoke of being made with magic, but Helsing saw no logic in that, believing that everything had a scientific explanation to it, even though much was still yet to be discovered.? So it wasn't that he believed in magic or the like; was he going soft?? He wondered this, but mentally shook his head within, no, that wasn't the case either, it was too soon for all of that.? He truly belieed that they wanted to become human again, if there was any possible way.? Looking at her and speaking now in that calm, almost hypnotic voice, he inquired, "do you...remember being human?? Is it something you care to remember?"? He thought to himself as he awaited her answers that, perhaps this was why he had not tried to kill them, they seemed to care in some way; but he asked himself, could he, would he...kill Natari if she said she did not..care at all?? He doubted it, just as before, for how could he, in good conscience, kill anyone who had come to warn him about her own kind?? He answered the question within himself, no, he would not...kill her, as it was likely not her fault she was, what she now was.? "All I know right now is that I will not kill them, and I will not...kill you," his words held perhaps more conviction than even he had intended, but they were in the open now, and there was nothing to be done about them.? He would not say that they were helping him find a way to turn vampires back into humans again, as that would likely? make her feel as if he did not accept her, and if she...had any desire to become human again, and the experiments failed, then she would be left with false hope.? Dear....God, I can't even do that..to her, he thought to himself with a bit of disgust, yet there was a sort of freedom he felt in admitting it, if only to himself right now.? In a voice almost too soft to be discerned by human ears, he stated in a tentative tone as he looked at her, tilting his head up just enough that she could glimpse his throat, "Perhaps, some of you are slowly convincing my thick head that, you are more than simply uncaring...killers."? He had to wonder to himself then, was he actually doing the work of God by killing vampires?? Or, was it simply an activity born out of fear and ignorance?? If it truly? was the former, he would have to find ways to separate the uncaring ones from those like Natari Klaus and the others, but if it were merely the latter, then a serious change was in order for him, as Helsing was not a man whose life was habitually governed by ignorance and fear. |

"What?"
?
Natari's eyes went wide, obviously not at all calmed by? the older man's words.
?
"Learn about...They were once human. I'm sure they know," she said dryly, though as the words left her mouth, the doubt of that showed itself in her eyes if only for an instant. Did she not generally remain cold and aloof at those parties she attended due to the animalistic behavior of most vampires. What many took for haughty and proud was simply her not being able to...mix. She did hold herself apart and the haughty expression she tended to hone was to hide the disgust and horror. Could they behave thusly and truly recall their humanity? She couldn't.
?
?
"Well...If you think you can encourage them to recall their humanity I can't see why. Why you would think so or why such would wish to do so. Those who forgot...they are too removed."
?
She frowned in sudden exasperation with herself. "But why am I telling you this? In part that's why you kill them, I assume so at any rate. My point is, in short, how do you think you can keep them from bloody tearing out your throat if they take it into their minds to do so," she demanded, her tone of expiration now aimed at the doctor.

Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)
Helsing pailed a bit when Natari mentioned throwing up the tea or red wine; "Oh dear now we wouldn't want that now, would we?"? He shook his head in answer to his own question, then pailed even more when she teased him about drinking from him.? "Uh no..sorry," he told her quickly, then smiled when he saw her laughing eyes and realized that she was only joking.? "We are, all of us, the lowest creatures of the low if we fail to help someone truly in need," he stated.? At that point, he couldn't help wondering just what he would do if he were to ever find her literally dying of thirst, with no-one around?? He doubted seriously that he would finish her, simply because she was a vampire, for it seemed to him that she was not merely a vampire anymore, they might never agree completely, but she had become?a friend, and she had proven it once more this night.? He wondered idly if he would actually cut his own wrist just enough for her to drink enough from him to sustain herself?? Ah well, he figured such would likely never happen, and he silently prayed that it wouldn't, else he might just find that he didn't hate vampires as much as he thought he did.? He touched her hand in a gesture of comfort?when she?sensed others of her kind nearby.? "I know, but it's all right," he reassured, "I believe they are attempting to educate themselves about humankind, and what true good are we, even to ourselves, if we do not seek to learn and teach?"? |

Natari forced herself to relax and take a seat with the doctor when offered. When he offered her a drink she gave a soft chuckle and sighed.
?
"Now my kind will be after me for telling you too much, but if I drank tea or wine I would be very ill and throw it up."
?
Laughing eyes, ever amused, dropped to his throat then to his wrist." Though if you're offering," she said, tone playfully mocking as she knew he certainly was not and would be horrified by such. It made it fun to tease him, though.
?
"Well,"Natari said with a smile and slight elegant shrug when Dr. Van Helsing thanked her. Then she gave a soft chuckle.
?
"Twas the least I could do when you didn't attack me when I came calling. I am glad that I could have been a part of educating you a bit about our kind even if we shall never agree on some points. You helped me when I was injured by my friend's well meaning attempt to teach me to survive you if it came to it," she added with another smile.
?
When she'd arrived at his window 3 nights before burned in many places from the silver, she had not been laughing anymore than he had, though. Now to look at her, thanks to his help and a bit of feeding on her part from homeless on the London streets, one could never see that the pretty Italian had ever been hurt at all.
?
Sudden only the fact other vampires were present somewhere close hit her like a ton of bricks and she went still." I didn't..." she said, green eyes flying wide.?
Would she believe she had set these on him, whoever they were. Because he was a hunter? She had said that many would want him dead, but she hadn't...
