Locked Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)

¡°my¡, Pet?¡± ? Van Helsing gave Klaus A surprised, questioning look, before shooting a more sympathetic look to Natari. ?¡°no sir, believe me, I would never consider anyone as wondrous as she, or any of you for that matter, as a mirror pet; I shall take your term as humorous, but I would definitely much rather call her, and the lot of you, friends.¡± ? Since he had first met Natari, ?and she had helped him with his rather unusual patient, and had amazed him by showing him that she could safely wear a cross, the doctor had been forced to admit, if only to himself, that his opinions about vampires were slowly changing. ? ¡° this is as interesting to me as, perhaps, my lab and other scientific endeavors are interesting to you; I am rather enjoying learning these facts and idiosyncrasies about your kind, both your kinds,¡± he amended. ? ?He looked amazed at the assertion of the fact about a bite from a werewolf being deadly to one kind of vampire, while another kind could dominate the creatures. ?¡° truly? So, you¡¯re kind¡, Could be killed by a werewolf, while, you¡¯re kind, can dominate them? How interesting.¡± ?He favored Valerie and Klaus ? When speaking of being killed by the creatures, then shifted his gaze toward Natari when speaking of dominating them. ?He listened as ?Natari spoke of her kind dominating werewolves. Regarding them with a seemingly endless curiosity, he inquired, ¡° have you any idea why this is? I must admit I had always thought of vampires as being all the same, but, after all, we mortal human beings are quite different in many ways, so the assumption that all vampires or any other creatures for that matter, would be all alike, is¡, erroneous??at best.¡±. He was the sort of fellow who could be very opinionated about something when he believe he was truly right, yet had no problem changing his mind, and admitting when he was wrong, once showed different. ?¡° there are, after all, humans who are considered saints, and humans who are well known as criminals; most of us, fall somewhere in between, so I believe it is safe to assume that such is also true of other kinds. There are those of you, those of your kind rather, who killed for the thrill of killing, for whatever disgusting type of Joy or justice?they get from it, but I suspect that most of you do it to feed your hunger, thereby ensuring your survival.¡± ?He now wondered to himself how he could have reasonably felt justified in hunting down and killing every¡, Vampire. How could I have reasonably considered them all estranged from God, when God loves all? He wondered this to himself, allowing the question to roll around in his mind. ?¡° perhaps I have done a grievous disservice to my own religion in thinking that God is such a finite being as to only extend his love to humans, yes?¡± ?He glanced around at the others, including Amara, not wishing to exclude her from the conversation in the least, waiting to see what their take on all of this would be.????

God loves you.

Locked Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)

Klaus opted not to discuss his own particular abilities on the matter, instead flicking a glance to Natari.
?
"Understood, Doctor Van Helsing. So long as your pet doesn't become a problem for me, she shall remain unharmed."
?
Natari bristled at? being called anyone's pet, particularly Dr. Van Helsing, but she wisely kept her mouth closed. This vampire was old and strong and...somehow different in a way she could not explain, therefore she would not be attempting to go up against him or any of his at this point.
?
?
Before she could even consider how to address the? 'difference' she noted in Klaus with the doctor later, Klaus spoke on it himself as he continued.
?
?
"As for werewolves and vampires mixing...vampwolves as you so charmingly called it, from the? perspective of?our kind of vampire," he said, including Valerie in his 'our' with a glance, "I'm afraid the result is impossible. The bite off a werewolf is deadly to our? kind."
?
He flicked a narrowing studied gaze at Natari. "I say our kind of vampire as your friend is obviously different."
?
?
Natari nodded. "Our kind can dominate werewolves. Older vampires have an easier time of it? than I, who am only 300, but I can influence them especially if they are weakened. I have been helping the doctor to keep his patient in check," she explained simply.
?
?
"Why," Klaus asked a bit sharply.
?
?
Natari shrugged. "Something different to do I suppose. Perhaps I enjoy playing on the edge. The doctor is interesting."
?
Klaus made a sound of assent, leaving the point? for now to return to at a later time if necessary. There were certainly things he could express on the matter but at this point it would not be advantageous to do so.
?
?
"What do you know of the origin of your vampiric race," Klaus asked the Italian instead.
?
Natari gave her head of long dark? waves a slight shake.
?
"Very little, I am afraid. There are? those of my kind thousands of years old and if they know they're not talking."
?
?
?
She considered saying that the doctor believed he knew that vampirism made them less and mostly shunned by god, but Klaus likely already knew of the doctor hunter's reputation? and opinions so she remained silent. Helsing had at least conceded when she showed him the cross that she wore safely.
?

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)

Van Helsing nodded to the statement about not giving Klaus what he wanted. ? ? ?¡° True enough, you might easily take what you want, but your?taking it, and my giving it with my blessing are¡, Two entirely different things.¡± ? ? ? The voice of the doctor was its usual kind, non-assuming tone, yet it held, as it were, a?Sharp, definite undertone¡, ? a?blade of authority, carefully covered by the velvet of politeness and good will. ? ¡° I do not like this talk of killing, no one is going to kill anyone here.¡±. He? ? ? ? Could only hope and pray that he was right, he was intelligent, but if one of those vampires got after him, could he get out of the way and to safety in time? And if not, would his new friend, ? ?Natari, ?protect him? Would she? Or would she simply join the others of her kind? The doctor did not want to find out the answer to any of these secret questions in his mind, but he had to admit, if only to himself, he was proud of his friend, she was definitely standing her ground. ? He gave her a supportive glance, and found himself even more impressed that she, was not looking in his direction for one. ? ? ? ? ?He looked at the small gathering, fixing his gaze on each,?in hopes of making each of them feel as if they, were the only one in the room, if only for that moment. ?¡°?Neither of you is a traitor to your kind for coming here,¡± he reassured them, ? ¡°one is never a traitor for seeking knowledge.¡±. ?He nodded to the comment about werewolf and vampire being a dangerous mix, and thinking to venture his own name for the combination, he admitted, ? ¡° indeed, a vampwolf¡, Would be an extremely dangerous combination, unless, there were some sort of change, such as when two parents have completely different offspring?¡± ? ?Van put forth the last part of his statement as a question, mostly for their consideration, but partially to get everyone on what might well prove to be?a much safer subject.

God loves you.

Locked Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)

"No, actually," Natari told Valerie with a polite yet icy smile that came off brittle.
"I would never ask such impolite questions had I not been asked such impolite questions first. It seems that you all, like everyone else, do not enjoy being on the other end of such. Completely understandable I must say," she concluded, tone and expression suddenly nearly sympathetic.
?
Hell but she was going to get herself killed if she weren't careful but what else could she say? The Italian struggled to get her racing heart under control. There was no Oliver to protect her, and if she never saw the dashing Russian again it would be a pity. So funny if he returned from his war to find her dead instead of cooling her heals in London as she'd promised. Thoughts of her friend and her fling vanished as the weight of Klaus's gaze fell upon her. Oh how she disliked feeling terrified and defensive at once. The mix of feelings was a dangerous potion, a fact of which she was fully aware. Especially as she was completely unaccustomed to dealing with either overly much.
?
?
?
?
Valerie's words concerning finding herself another hobby caused Natari to give a small tight smile.
?
"Well as we all stand here together, I should say pot kettle," she said simply.
?
?
?
"Some could consider your presence here to bee traitorous to our kind," Klaus told the dark haired vampire coolly, at last speaking.
?
His words were as calm and dangerous, as subtly threatening without being violent as a rapier.
?
What would Dragomir do, Natari's mind wondered frantically, and she smiled nearly cheekily at Klaus. She never would have worn such a smile but the big Russian would have.
?
?
"In such a case the claim would be entirely wrong...completely unfounded just would it be were anyone to say something of you being here," she shot back casually.
?
?
"Ah yes but I could kill everyone here without exerting myself, and you, pretty one, won't get nearly that far," Klaus promised giving her a faintly amused smile, tone just as calm as it had been.
?
He did not threaten so much as he stated a fact.
?
"Yes but then Dr. Van Helsing will not give you what ever it is that you came here for," Natari said confidently lifting her chin like thee proud lady she was.
?
Inside she pictured Dragomir's pleased smile and cheered for herself while keeping her exterior calm.
?
Then as her mind processed the conversation the others were having concerning a vampire werewolf possibility from the sound of it, she stated,"It sounds like a dangerous mix. A werewolf vampire could be something no one could control. I personally don't recommend it. Not from a position of true knowledge on the matter, but simply from the perspective of someone liking to remain safe."
?
?
?
She was proud of herself for not cowering behind the doctor? or even glancing his way for support. cowards would only serve to get her torn apart in here, she knew.
?
?
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Re: Revelations (Klaus/Amara/Valerie/Van Helsing)

¡°What does it matter?¡± Amara grew uncomfortable under the weight of Natari¡¯s gaze, not liking having received so much attention so quickly as most of her life the former handmaiden went unnoticed. It might have been simple enough to answer the woman's question had she trusted her.?
?
She diverted her gaze to avoid making any unnecessary eye contact as it only served to increase her already rising anxiety levels. Her mind desperately sought some sort of refuge, unfamiliar images came flooding in¡a thing she would have found most unsettling were it not for their almost joyful nature.
?
?
?
?
?
¡°My, my, my¡.what wonderful manners we have. Do you always ask such questions of strangers?¡± Valerie decided to offer a distraction when it seemed as if her new friend very much wanted to fade into the background. If she were closer she might have placed a comforting hand on the woman's arm.
?
¡°As for your question¡that is one mystery that shall remain just that¡a mystery.¡± She wasn't attempting to be rude but she would respect Amara¡¯s wishes as the immortal seemed rather reluctant to include this newcomer in the ¡®inner circle¡¯.
?
One eyebrow rose at the response regarding earlier interactions with their host as she couldn't imagine certain others in that profession being so cordial with their kind. ¡°I would suggest developing new hobbies then as your current one is liable to land you on the wrong end of a wooden stake or¡sword.¡±
?
?
?
?
?
Amara lifted her gaze as she looked to Klaus at his explanation, inclining her head in thought as she considered his words. ¡°What then would happen if a vampire were to bite a werewolf?¡± It was an odd thing to think of but it left her wondering whether a mix of the two were possible since she remembered Valerie having referred to herself as being both witch AND vampire.?

Locked Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)

Victor nodded when Elizabeth asked if he had anything to help her sleep, oh yes, I have something that will dispel all dreams, at least it will help you not to remember any, and you will not notice any dreams you might happen to have?while you are asleep. ? He looked appreciative when she said she would make sure that he ate and slept, you always were one forgiving care, especially to me. ? ?When she laughed about the perfume and asked whether or not he had any made, Victor smiled rather mischievously, please excuse me for one moment, I shall return briefly. He was up and gone in almost a flash, and when he returned, he carried in his pocket a small box. He reached into his pocket and produced the box, it was a blue, pink and gold box, with a lovely pink bow on top. For you my sweet, he told her. ? ?Whenever she chose to open it, she would find a lovely blue bottle with the fragrance she would recognize. ?Now you can once more be the envy of¡, Well, of everyone.?

forgotten about Envy that perfume was marvelous.? Perhaps you can make?
me some when you have time if it hasn't already been made.? I haven't?
looked through all of what's there yet. Elizabeth looked deep into?
Victor's eyes when he told her how stunning she looked.

???? "The skin doesn't turn you off," she asked tentatively. "It's?
reassuring to know you see me that way," she added.? "Yes I'll make sure?
you eat and sleep, something tells me your lacking in both of those?
areas. That reminds me, do you have something that I can take to sleep,?
at least for a while. I want to sleep but fear of dreaming about what it?

to sleep.? I'm sure it'll work out eventually but it might be a good?
idea for the time being," she asked.

Re: Family Drama (Mircea/Nadia)

Mercia walked at his sister's side for several moments in silence. At times his mind was considering her words and what words and thoughts he may have in return and at other times his mind had moved onto his own plans for being here. His own life and goals.
?
?
When he eventually spoke his tone was calm and unmoved, his expression considering.
?
"Father tends to withdraw emotionally and physically when he feels he could bring danger to those he loves by doing otherwise. If Mother doesn't recall that perhaps it is her who has lost interest after 4 centuries."
?
He chuckled.
?
"She never got to be young and free truly, you know," he said not overly concerned.
?
"Father had far more opportunity to run wild and free like the wolf."
?
?
Of course if this was the case, Vlad's reaction would most certainly be amusing as well as disconcerting, Mercia knew. He would of course protect Katherina if it came to that. She was his mother.
?
"Is that all," he asked his sister, turning to regard her with an arched brow.
?
"Of course I will contact father and ask if there is anything I can help with once I"ve attended to my own personal matters. If he'd needed my help in earnest he would've asked."
?

Re: Family Drama (Mircea/Nadia)

¡°If not, then why do nothing while his family drifts apart?¡± Nadia asked with one eyebrow lifted as she cast an inquiring look in her brother's direction. It wasn't that she wanted it to be true but her imagination had been set to racing from the moment she started to notice little things she feared would turn into much larger ones. ¡°I fear that mother will be long gone before his focus returns to family.¡±
?
She took a breath, quietly looking about as she tried to bury those fears. ¡°Things used to be so different between them¡a relationship like theirs was something I always hoped to find for myself one day. But seems after four centuries either he no longer cares or is completely oblivious to what's happening.¡± Staring intently at the path ahead.
?
¡°If only it were that simple.¡± Waging a silent debate over whether it should be pointed out no one had seen much of their father at all since they had arrived in London or how distant their mother had become. As the eldest she felt somehow responsible for holding the family together in his absence.?

I am glad the salad, and the dressing both please you so well, Victor replied. I am actually not sure if you have ever had that or not. ?Yes I made some or most of your perfumes that you liked, he told her. There was actually one that you said should be named Envy,?because it would make you the envy of the town, and true enough, it did, so that is what I named it. ? ?He gave a warm chuckle when she said she would have to make sure he took care of himself now that she was back, you can do whatever you like, he reassured her, I¡¯m certain that I will do a much better job of taking care of myself, now that you are here. He nodded his approval to the servants as they scurried and bustle back-and-forth, taking away some dishes, while replacing them with others. He also watched to make certain that she was eating, and smiled, seeing how she was enjoying the meal so much. At one point during the meal, he tenderly placed his hand on hers, and looked into her eyes, it is so wonderful to have you back with me again, he murmured. ? And you look absolutely lovely and stunning, so breathtaking.??

God loves you.

Victor gave a warm smile when he saw his beloved coming down the stairs, and when she spoke to him. ? ?¡°Ah I am glad that it appears pleasing to you, my dear; the meal this evening consists of almost all of your favorite foods.¡± ? ? He motioned?for?the servants to begin serving the first course, which was a wonderful beef and vegetable soup that they had prepared that day; he walked around to seat?himself beside her, and when she asked if he still had the headache, he nodded; ?it has subsided somewhat, but it is still there, probably because I chose to read in the library while you were bathing, rather than?to lie down and relax, as I probably should have done. ? He smiled when she complemented the soaps?which he had made, ? Pleased with how she seemed to appreciate even the smallest detail which he had utilized in welcoming her home, I am glad they content you so, you always love those fragrances. He spoke this softly as the servants were going around making sure the couple had everything they needed to eat and drink. ? ?As the servants brought out the second course, Victor turned to Elizabeth and stated, and now, we have a salad here, you always enjoyed salads as I recall; for dressings this evening, we have a vinaigrette, as well as a more creamy dressing from an old German recipe, which would you like?

God loves you.

? ? "Oh no need to worry I wasn't planning on keeping Victor waiting.??
I'll dress myself and be down presently. Thank you for your assistance,"?
Elizabeth told Heidi.? After Heidi retreated Elizabeth dressed hastily?
well as fast as she could.? She took a few minutes to comb out her hair?
then headed downstairs toward the delicious smelling food.

???? "Oh this looks so nice Victor.? And the soaps you made are?
lovely," she said taking a seat and folding her napkin across her lap.??
She resisted the urge to start shoveling food in waiting for the dishes?
to be brought out before she began fixing her plate. "Do you still have?
your headache," she inquired.

Heidi nodded, showing that she understood what Elizabeth was saying, oh, there are always plenty of different kinds of tea around here, but haste, here are your clothes, ? My mistress, and pardon me for saying this, but we should make haste, for the bell means that the meal is in fact, ready. Now, will you require my assistance with getting dressed, or shall I leave you to it, and inform the master that you will be joining us soon?
?
Meanwhile, Victor, who had been reading in the library, was now carefully instructing the servants on exactly how the lady Elizabeth liked her roast beef. Just a bit more well done, he was saying and, don¡¯t cook those vegetables to death, tender, but not wilted, not overly cooked, there is a good lad,?there is a good lass,?oh she¡¯s going to love this so much. He was careful to complement the servants as well as give constructive criticism.??

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Rena nodded in understanding when Henry spoke of women, religion, roles in society.
?
"I wonder if men would've been as malleable and easily quashed over the years by society," she speculated, leaning forward in genuine interest.
?
Somehow she and Jekyll could at times fall into some interesting conversations when not in one another's arms and it was ever a pleasant surprise, always exciting. Of course it was new forHenry, but that wasn't a deterrent for her in the least. They had both adjusted quickly the first time so he'd be fine as he'd do so again.
?
"I mean is it general human nature or a lot of women just less or stupid or whatever? I mean Mom hates it when most mem or women open their mouth and start talking in social circles. She is above not in intelligence so I guess it's frustrating. I don't really get bothered by most things myself, but then again I rarely have to interact with outsiders," she admitted.
?
Smiling in an amused way she added, "I shall have to follow your lead in that."
?
?
"Anyway, one must wonder how much is true mental limitation and how much is society. Interesting, but when people are annoying and need to shut up they still do, don't they?"
?
She smiled again and gave him a wink.
?
?
When he explained why he wouldn't need to pardon his views as she wasn't that sort of woman, she nodded and smiled again, briefly taking his hands.
?
"That's right. And you've got to remember what I said. I like the way you are, Henry. You never have to...hide it for me. No matter what I'd not care. I like you for being the animal you are as you're still a brilliant man so the predator makes you no less. Besides it's too...well there? are too many rules in this society and none of them have one ral decent logical reason behind them," she said gently, lightly squeezing his hands in reassurance as she spoke.
?
"And if you recall I told you enough of my family to assure you that I'm not shaken in the? least by a little blood or foul language. Especially when you make it so amusing."
?
She grinned and winked again before becoming serious.
?
"I understand that it seems I know far too much about you. And my lack of good explanation on that matter makes me feel like a lire. But I swear? I haven't lied to you. Just some mind bending facts are best said and heard once we're? sober and have had a good night's sleep.? For better processing, you know. But I promise you have nothing to fear from me and I'm always on your side no matter what probably more than you know."
?
?
Her serious expression slipped when he mentioned Leti and what she'd said about Victor. That was when she'd bent and whispered into his ear. She had been curious then so her eyes lit with? interest as one small hand caught his arm eagerly.
?

"I do like her a lot. But I meant to ask...and totally forgot! What did she say?"
?
?
?
"Yes father works with Mom, so he is of a scientific mind and he was educated at Cambridge. Before that his work was that of an assistant, where he received a bit of a paranormal education. Before that real estate. And yes I believe you would like him," she aid honestly.
?
When he did not react to her eyes she let out a small breath of relief.
?

"No. It just would've hurt in the morning if I'd left these little disks in my eyes that make them look black. I just need the beaker to keep them safe and clean in case I need to use them...If we're out in the dark...well their slight glow could be noticed and draw comment. I learned from my Grandfather's unpleasant experience that people do not react well to anything different, wishing to see witch craft rather than science due to their fear and limitations."
?
As she spoke, she couldn't stop her gaze from traveling his muscular body...Always a distraction that hadn't changed.
?
?
?
?
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Henry began feeling a little uncomfortable. Normally it would not have mattered. Some women thought they guessed his mind at the big parties. They thought he betrayed himself with certain facial expressions, and they were of course wrong. Just because every other man craved what they could give, it did not imply he would crave quite the same for his satisfaction.?It was beyond most of them to guess, he would not have guessed either had he not been forced to dwell in?his head. But at the very least, their accuracy would not have mattered. He would have countered, distracted, diverted, denied, and been all the happier in the process, for managing to defend his unpalatable secrets. But Rena really knew what he was thinking just now, and for some reason, he?wanted to make a good impression on her.?
?
He didn't even know why,?the instant physical connection might have been sufficient?for others to draw their conclusions, but not for the likes of him. The disturbing thing was that it put a pressure on him, to try to deny, to improve her opinion, with some prevarications. A pointless project that was, since she already acknowledged the truth exactly as he experienced it. There was simply no point denying, despite his wish. So, with some uncomfortable regret, Henry finally admitted.?
?
"I don't know how you managed to deduce it on such a short occasion of our acquaintance, but I would not deny the right of it. Your statement is true, to some degree. I do make exceptions for a few select women, I suppose, but I only hear of them, from a distance, and have not quite encountered many who could be considered equal to me. I heard some arguments that the two genders have not always been so unevenly matched, that religion played some part in establishing the inequality. It might be true, but again and again I observe not only?lack of education per se, that could have been forgiven, but also the lack of interest in pursuing it, on behalf of the fairer gender.
?
At least my patients, they claim they have not enough?wealth to afford the finest, do not wish to settle for less, and that would have made sense. Only they do find the time to attend unnecessary public events and?spend?ll of their resources on shoes, and he prestigious types of food, disregarding their nutritional properties. This applies to both genders equally in truth, but women do seem to be wroth. I would have begged for your pardon only, naturally, I do not deem you comparable to any of them, and for a different reason, I would consider Leticia to be different as well. Perhaps it is that level of aspiration, ambition even, that I associate with the more dominant gender, and in Leticia's case, the comparison does not seem to be far off. The way she talked about Victor...even my flexible mind became aghast at her suggestion..." Henry solemnly declared,?slightly exaggerating his?horror for the?sake of propriety,?and reducing the magnitude of his amusement with the girl.
?
"Oh truly, your father is of a similar mind? Does he do science as well? He sounds objectively scientific, and I don't have nearly enough friends who comport with the rational kind of thinking. What does he do again," Henry began wondering, trailing off out of concern for the little lady experiencing some kind of pain.
?
"What ails then, is it serious, what are these contacts, in contact with what?" He began firing up questions, prepared to use fainting salts despite?Rena's protestations, if?need be, and heavier drugs if required.
?
"Oh, so, you are not in pain, nor immediate danger," Henry breathed with relief, still somewhat shaken by the unfamiliar concept. "Do I still...need?to help you somehow," he wondered carefully, trying not to excite the girl too much all over again.??
?

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Rena grinned, knowing his skeptical look, for Jekyll had worn it a few times himself.
?
"Okay I get you don't respect women. I don't really either for the most part. Hell I have no female friends. Mom and Grandma don't count I guess. But you try not breathing well for a time and see. Lack of oxygen to the brain makes one light headed, then if the female gets herself worked up, the breathing becomes more shallow, and."
?
She mock fainted against his chest her grin turning into an amused giggle at the very idea as she snuggled against him with a contented sigh.
?
"It's actually a medical consideration by now though many females still ignore practicality and health in the name of stupid fashion."
?
Her grin widened.
"I'm sure those are medical journals you overlooked intentionally, likely supposing them to be dull if they concerned women. I don't take offense, not being that sort of woman myself. My dad would agree with you. He hated the idea of a relationship before Mom, believing it to be a constraining trap and tether to someone with whom he had no common interests. I'm aware you felt the same before my esteemed self, of course."
Though she spoke on medical topics her tones were light hearted and amused. She teased him even while speaking mere facts.
?
?
"Though Leti hardly seemed the sort to faint thank goodness," she added thoughtfully.
?

"Perhaps she will prove to be a friend. I certainly need one if I am to survive here. I am afraid I grew up doing as I liked and not having to fit in. At home great wealth afforded me this luxury. And who, having a choice would want to deal I ask you."
?
?
She gave him a knowing smile, still teasing.
?
With a sudden frown one hand came up to rub at her eyes and she swore under her breath.
?
"God damn it! I need to remove my contacts I guess. I've never left them in this long and they re starting to annoy my eyes."
?
Aware that she needed to explain herself she clarified,"It's a way to disguise the color of my eyes. If you have a bottle or beaker or something else clean and sterile I can keep them in I'd appreciate it vastly."

She glanced around for a mirror as she spoke, glad she was sober enough to have steady hands to remove contacts. Kissing him lightly she rose regretfully and moved to the bedroom's ornate full length mirror. Not bothering to dress she carefully removed her contacts, keeping them in the palm of one hand. Turning back to Henry she slowly blinked her nearly white blue eyes, wondering if the glow showed in this light. She had wanted the light on, wishing to see his body each time they shared pleasure. Unbidden she recalled in the passage of Shelly's book describing Victor Frankenstein's reaction to the color of her grand father's eyes. The man had made them so what had he expected? Jekyll had never minded her eyes. IN fact had complimented them so why was she holding her breath? Jekyll had insisted that even back then, before the potion had freed im, that he as Henry still would've wanted her. Forcing herself to move toward him she let out a breath, extending her palm to show him the small plastic disks she held that had turned her eyes the black of her father's.
?
"My eyes feel much better now," she said, forcing a normal tone.

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Henry Hyde nodded his agreement though in private he remained a little skeptical. Breathing was important, even vital, but he had to wonder. Every single woman on the face of the earth, fainting because they had breathing problems, that just did not seem logical to him. It was nice of Rena to defend her own gender, but perhaps inaccurate. And yet, as he has been fortunate enough to get his hands on one that was not as likely to faint, he was going to count his blessings, silently nod, and simply use the benefits of his superior luck. He surely was not going to argue the point and cost himself the possible benefits of the relationship.
?
Keeping the nods coming at the opportune moments, Henry found himself relieved when the subject moved elsewhere. "You are correct on both accounts, my lady. It would be most intriguing to poke through such antiques even if we have little time to afford such luxury. My practice has been a busy one. In fact, I have not planned on slowing down just yet, but as I do have something better to do than?following up on?my never ceasing client list, some changes might be in order. I am not entirely sure how my routine might change, but will think over it..." Henry considered, feeling almost overwhelmed by the seemingly conflicting needs of relationship and career.
?
"Ah yes, so many things cannot be explained with a small rationale, but can be accounted for by the greater principles of science. Especially since science keeps evolving, and few can keep up with its steady progress," Henry opined, thoughtfully considering the previous events. He could only hope that a proper explanation would be found for his notes resurfacing as well, but so far no stroke of genius visited itself upon his weary shoulders. He would have to think it over, cancel out all the probable causes and then, only then, possibly figure out the origins of the troubling mystery. It would almost be a relief if it did happen to be supernatural.. Almost,?if an expert also offered a solution on how to avoid such unpleasantness in the future. For this was not the kind of the unknown he could easily come to terms with.?

Locked Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)

Heidi gave Elizabeth a warm smile when the lady said she was washing her hair very well, I am glad to know it, my lady, she replied. She nodded when Elizabeth said that Victor was probably in the lab right then, he does also go to the library, Heidi confided, but those are the two main places where he spends his time. Occasionally though, he does have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee or tea in his easy chair; there is a matching one right beside it, but he never lets anyone else sit in it, he says he is saving it for you. ?As she towel dried Elizabeth¡¯s hair, Heidi chuckled upon hearing her stomach growl and up on the admission that she was so hungry, that is quite understandable ma¡¯am, I believe Gregory, Marta, and James are preparing food even as we speak. At that time there was the dinging of a small bell, and Heidi said, oh, pardon me my lady, that particular bell is when a servant needs to see another servant about something, I shall return shortly. In an instant, she was gone, and returned just as quickly to say, Marta says that the master has told them to prepare both roast chicken, and roast beef, salad, potatoes, and green beans. There will be either tea or wine to drink, or you can have both. The master wishes to know which one you would preferred to have served to you first????

God loves you.
