Locked Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)

Victor actually looked uneasy when Elizabeth began asking him what purpose the creation served, and why he could not have protected her from her death. ?He was rather hesitant in his reply, as I recall, I did all that I could, I am not sure exactly what, or how I tried to fight him, but I'm certain that I did; as far as your question about what purpose The creation??served, I wanted to create life, to know the forces that drive mankind's ?very existence. ?I wanted to create someone with superior intelligence, someone with a body that was healthy and strong, so that we, through scientific study might learn how to better our selves. ?You remember how I always was, don't you? He searched her eyes for some faint recollection, some distant ghost of a memory that might tell him that she knew, that she remembered and understood. ?He placed a hand gently on the back of hers, hoping she would not brush it away, or show some signs of rejection to him; now darling, please let me assure you, just because that man¡ The one that I created, was a monster, that doesn't mean that you¡ are a monster. ? You, are my own, dear loving wife, and yes, we had the wedding; but after you have had time to think, if you don't remember it, or if you wish another ceremony for us to renew our vows, we can have that. ?He gave a warm chuckle when she stated that he probably knew more of her likes and dislikes then she did; you will remember with time, I'm sure of it, but if some of those have changed, for whatever reason, all you have to do is let me know. ?Unfortunately, I¡ He blushed a bit, looking rather embarrassed, I don't have bathing facilities here in the lab, we shall have to go home. ?He thought that it was a good thing he had kept most if not all of her clothing, refusing to give it away, sell it, or discard it. ?I still have your clothing at home, all the favorite dresses that you used to wear, and¡ He looked into the bag, I have carried this with me, just in case I was ever able to have the privilege of bringing you back, it's¡ It's your favorite dress, the one that you always used to wear for me. ?He pulled it out of the bag, and held it up to her, do you remember? He watched and waited, his eyes hopeful, hoping that when she saw it, she would?? remember it.

God loves you.

Very well, Victor replied to Elizabeth when she said she wished no more food. I am glad to see that you are eating well though. ? He looked sad when she spoke of being dead for some time, and he had to glance a way to hide a flash of anger in his eyes when she asked who killed her, and why. His anger was not toward her, but toward the one who had been her killer. ?Giving a soft sigh, he made his eyes meet hers as he stated, the one who killed you was¡ Well, it was my creation, regrettably, I¡ I thought I could make someone, make a man that was strong, intelligent, and a credit to me, to science, but he¡ became a monster, in fact I believe he was¡ A monster from the beginning. ?He somehow learned to speak later on, but he was extremely jealous, and he killed you because¡ His tone took on a hint of anger, well because I would not make him¡ A wife, I would not make a female to be with him, and why would I, they might have populated the world, over populated it with monsters. ? It was his own monstrous, mad jealousy which brought about your death my love, and for that, I am truly sorry, although I know that does not make it right. ?He began gently rubbing her shoulders then as he continued, please, do not think that I am angry at you for asking the question, you have every right to know, my anger is¡ Toward him, not you, had he at least tried to understand why I would not fashion a wife for him, he could have shown himself to be evolving into a man, but no¡ ?he took the strength and intelligence which I gave him, and chose to become a monster with it. I did not make the monster, I made the man, he¡ Created the monster. ?He smiled with delight when she asked if she might have a bath, of course you can have a bath, he could not help but chuckle. I remember, you used to really fancy that soap that had the pleasant fragrance to it, I bought some of that for you when I first started attempting to bring you back; I believe you liked¡ Rose and, was it¡ Lavender??

God loves you.

"Ahead of you in...this area,"Rena asked with an honest laugh, gesturing to their 2 bodies together without breaking the embrace.
?

"I merely express myself freely, allowing my desires to be satisfied fully when it comes to that beautiful magnificent body of yours. As you say, I am also likewise accustom?to my every whim being granted...only I had few whims before you...And now perhaps I am a cat out of her cage," she said with a wink.
?
"I believed your experience and years, your knowledge of the pleasures of the flesh would guide my own and you have far from disappointed. So..."She concluded with a wink and another kiss.
"If I am difficult to keep up with, it is a result due to your own freeing abilities."
?
Her gaze upon him was as openly passionate as her kiss, but her close embrace a loving and fond one as she clung to him wordlessly for a moment.
?
"You...You. There is no one like you, Henry and there never shall be."
?
Her eyes blazed indignantly?when he asked how the maid looked at him.
?
"With stupid loving eyes that make me want to yank them the hell out," she said darkly.
?
"But yes, let her see us. I hope she understands that I am the only one who could ever?be suitable?for you."
?
She kissed him again, allowing her fingers to trail over the hard contours of his chest and arms with a sigh of open pleasure.
?
"I desire you for you...The you that you find difficult to control, Henry. The reason you are working on this potion in the first place," she murmured.
"All of the things about you that others would tolerate dislike or fear I relish and embrace. Not only are you astonishingly brilliant and creative enough to use it to its utmost potential, you are thrillingly wild and dangerous and I love that. As long as we are careful and cover our tracks, we can be wild and dangerous together," she murmured, as though it was their little secret, then kissed him again, pushing him back on the bed. And a very satisfactory bed it was.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Henry happily accepted his servants' reassurances. Relieved to see them go, relieved further to see Rena relenting, he simply nodded in acknowledgment. "Well yes, different custom about treating servants, now that makes sense. I am sorry as well if I made you feel ill at ease, I am used to...I supposed to my every whim being heeded, and that is unreasonable to expect that of you as well as my servants, especially since you had no reason to suspect how I handle my affairs. In due time you will learn of course and then you'll know what expected, until then, well, I am sure you will make a quick study," Hyde confidently announced.
?
Rena's next comment caught him off guard,?making him?chuckle. "And how does?Mary look at me I prey? I have never given her any reason to believe there is more going on between us than a relationship appropriate between a superior and an inferior, and she in turn never caused me to doubt her intentions. If he were allowed into the bedroom, the best she could hope for is to catch a glimpse of the two of us together, and even though this is perhaps undesirable, due to the rumors that might circulate henceforth, I see no additional reasons to doubt her service or loyalty. Do you believe...well, do?you know something else about this girl, is she more than meets the eye?" the good doctor?reluctantly wondered, not wishing to dismiss a valid concern.
?
"Oh, I am sure you will learn quickly, all that remains to see is how well I can keep up with you. Since you are ahead of me in this most pleasant of areas, perhaps it will be my responsibility to learn fast instead and adapt," Henry offered with a smile, returning the kiss with increasing passion.?

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Relieved that the affair with handling the clothing issue was done, Rena gave a sigh of relief when the 2 vanished. Hopefully the empty headed girl could manage to get it right, she thought darkly, but upon turning to Henry, him filling her vision, caused all but him to leave her mind as well. She was across to him as quick as a flash with her arms around him.
?
"I am sorry, Dearest One. I am unaccustom to speaking to the servants or having them intrude into my personal space in that way. I didn't know if you had a problem with them seeing..."
?
She shrugged.
"Anything. Our servants at home are about their work mostly when we aren't home. They aren't seen or heard much and I realize that we are fortunate, but I have grown accustom to it. Perhaps I am spoiled by my grandfather's wealth," she admitted with a small embarrassed smile as she rested her cheek against his solid chest.
?
?
"I am quick to adapt, though and I promise I learn fast."
?
She kissed him, making sure that he enjoyed her apology.
?
"Though the way that girl looks at you, it's dangerous to have her in your bedroom," she grumbled, then grinning impishly she added,"It's a pity she's so low born or else we could match her up with Victor."

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Mary dutifully bowed to Henry, then turned to Reena and nodded, please also except my humble apology, good lady Rena, I shall do my best from now on to remember to knock before entering your room. She punctuated ? ?her apology with an equally grateful bow. ?Hearing what Henry had said to ?Rena, Mary gave him a grateful nod, thank you, Master Doctor, her tone was meek, rather diffident as she spoke. ?Pool meanwhile, also nodded to his employer, giving him a sincere look of gratitude; ?thank you, good sir, and to you as well, my lady, he bowed to Rena. ?I believe we have just the culinary fair to satisfy your needs. He then turned and looked at Mary, come along, Mary, let's be about it. ?As the door closed, and they set about to begin their work, Pool's Voice could be heard, fading into the distance as it reprimanded Mary for her earlier error; Mary, you must never¡ And I do mean, never, do that again, they are our employers. ?Dr. Henry¡ Is our employer yes, Mary corrected, but we don't even know ?that woman in there, and besides all that, she is American, and they are so¡ So rude, Crass, and¡ so, so¡ Pool interrupted as she began quietly sobbing; as long as she is to be married to master Dr. Henry, she¡ Is to be considered and counted as much our employer as he¡ Is. ?her sobs became more intense, married indeed, from the looks of the bed in there, it would appear as if they're already¡ Married! Did you see it? Tell me Pool did you see it? ?I saw it, yes of course I saw it, but I paid it little he'd, for I had my mind on the work that we were going to be set about to do, as well as correcting your rather impudent error in judgment and etiquette. ?Oh I beg you, let it go, Pool, please, just let it go? ?The butler tenderly placed a hand up on her shoulder, they're there now child, come now, get yourself together, we have work to do, and we mustn't keep our master and mistress waiting. ?Work, work, work, work, work! Mary began, that's all you ever think about, isn't it? ?His tone took on that of a patient teacher lecturing a rather slow witted child, in this world, dear Mary, we eat to work, and work to eat; eating gives us the strength with which to work, and working¡ Gives us the wherewithal that we ourselves may also eat, never forget that. ?Oh you just¡ You just don't understand, Mary sobbed, you're absolutely right, girl, I don't understand for the life of me why you haven't already set about making those little dainty finger sandwiches that you are so adept at making, you know the ones, he continued, them what with have the different kinds of meat and cheese? ?Mary favorite him with a soft smile through her tears, you¡ You really think I am good with those? ?Pool shook his head, on the contrary, child, I think you are quite superb at making them, when your hands are actually working, but they won't get done by idol prattle. ?Mary gave a soft sigh, as she stated, I will do some with pork, some with beef, some with chicken, and a few with fish, yes and, do for certain make some with that delectable egg salad you make. ?I never knew you like that, Mary told him, I think the doctor does, I'm not sure about the lady Rena, but yes, I find it quite delicious, if there are any left over, perhaps you and I can also enjoy a snack before returning to our beds. ?We must also add color to the plate, he continued, some of our orange carrots and¡ A few dainty stalks of cauliflower should do quite nicely. ?Come come now, I will chop the eggs and vegetables, while you¡ Whip up some of those wonderful, scrumptious honey cakes of yours. ?Mary was actually humming rather cheerfully now as she set to work, knowing that Pool was working beside her, and imagining that she was cooking, preparing the snacks¡ For the Doctor, for her beloved Doctor Henry, him, and only him. ?It was not long at all before the snacks were prepared, and both servants each carried a plate, making certain this time to knock loudly enough that they would be heard. ?Now,Pool instructed, we must wait here at the door, until we are bidden to enter.??

God loves you.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

A bit chastised as well as perplexed by Henry's subdued reaction, Rena gave him a quick look of apology as she waited to see if Mary could handle her instructions. She knew Henry was more restrained before his potion, but as he did not truly wish to be one would think he would understand, at least, her reasoning. And from him she had never learned restraint. Still she had always been a good quiet child with her parents, and grandparents?and she could try to remember that mind set if she must.
?
Her gaze wandered back to Henry, idly wandering over the excessively pleasing lines of his body while she still stood near the maid. He had not taken to her concerns well at all, she had noticed. What if he didn't believe her? What would she do? The thought caused her heart to race. But no...It would be alright. She could handle this. It was all in the presentation...
?
She just had to put more care and consideration in how she would proceed. Being honest with him was very important but damn it so was not scaring him off. They were so close...She just needed to get into his head...to think of how it would be if he knew nothing about her. An easier thing to do if they weren't in danger that she couldn't even comprehend. She stared at him hardly realizing it as these thoughts flew through her mind.
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

As Rena turned the conversation in a somewhat serious direction, Henry could not find the right words to say. Neither nodding nor smiling felt like quite the correct response, but nodding he did, in the absence of anything better, highly uncomfortable with the entire conversation, to the point of almost being annoyed that something pleasant turned into something so...banal, he supposed the?French might call it in their disgusting little novels. Following the French line of reasoning, Henry?could almost consider apologizing, but alas, he was not the right kind of man to feign such a sentiment. "No trouble at all, no trouble," he dubiously reassured, resenting both the necessity of having to do?so, as well as his lacking skills at being properly diplomatic.
?
"It's quite fine my dear, they are merely trying to serve," Henry softly chided after Rena's outburst. It would not do if she started with his trusted staff on the wrong foot. A lady of the house was expected to rule of course, but if she stopped getting along with those who did not present a problem, while creating somewhat of a predicament herself, well, that would not do. Henry craved what he did, but he would not let his sexual appetites ruin a good thing for him.??
?
'Excellent, dear Poole, your apology is cordially accepted and mightily appreciated, as I am sure, my Lady would agree," Henry slowly nodded, relieved that his old butler took the most diplomatic course out of this dangerous situation. The surprising thing was that?Henry did not see what unbalanced his Lady so, perhaps the sea voyage really did take a greater toll on her than he had assumed. But it would all be settled now, he comforted himself with the idea at least, as he encouraged Poole to proceed.
?
Seeing how Rena wisely approached Mary to duly instruct her on further affairs, he was only to happy to do the same with the trusty butler. "Yes, dear Poole. It seems our needs have changed. Some developments...well, some food might be needed soon, light snacks or what have you, you have the nose for such things dear chap and can admirably arrange for my needs, I am sure I need not elaborate...?" Henry belatedly wondered, realizing he has begun talking faster, as if worried that Rena would take the opportunity to intrude and undermine his orders.?

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

Rena's eyes narrowed dangerously when Mary told her to 'see here,' but Pool wisely interjected before Rena could. She already disliked the way the little tart looked at her Henry, and now she was really pushing it. For a fleeting moment Rena could've laughed...She as normally the one who didn't get emotional while Jekyll could...effectively handle business with people as it were, knocking anyone casually out of their way mentally or figuratively. Rarely did he take it personally and become truly angry. Those times he did, though, the person did not live to regret it. Today she found herself not merely not minding, but understand the sentiment.
?
When the little annoying thing clarified that she had actually been addressing Henry so disrespectfully, Rena's eyes narrowed yet more. Talking to her thusly was one thing, and a thing to be handled, but to her Henry, it certainly would not be tolerated. The fact they were both so insanely jealous and protective was...dangerous she knew and at times enough to take her breath away.
?
She did glance to Pool and gave him a small grateful smile at his interjection. At least the man knew how to behave even if he didn't know better, apparently than to bring the little slut into her man's bed chamber.
?
?
?
Leaving it to Henry to speak to Pool about the food she murmured to him,"I'm speaking to Mary about clothing while she is in here."
?
Giving his arm a light squeeze she reluctantly released it and rose, moving to the doorway where the girl had retreated.
?
"I need you to rise early and go to the nearest dress shop. Set up an account in Henry's name and have a seamstress come here in thee evening tomorrow as I will need some custom items designed. I have had a mishap and all my clothing was lost. I need more at once so tomorrow I shall simply have to deal with whatever you find me on the wrack. I need you to find something suitable for me, just one or 2 outfits as I plan to have others made. I require light weight dresses, silk with lace should do. I need nice clothes...Nothing that you would wear of course," she couldn't help enjoying adding that pointed jab.
?
"As Henry's future wife, I must look the part and make him proud always."
?
She paused to allow the girl to take all of that in.
?
"Just look me over and gauge my aproximate size. IS shall need stockings and shoes and underthings, just no corset. I have that."
?
She had her bra and that was far better. Far more comfortable certainly.
?
"Just relay these specifications to the dress shop. I would not expect you to have the qualifications to choose," she said gently, knowing women enough though she had no female friends, to know how to be cutting without seeming to. She had watched enough people in their sleep before killing them to have a worthy grasp on the human mind even if outside of her own family she interacted with them rarely if at all. To discover that she was so good at applying her knowledge personally was a bit heady. She was proud of herself.
?
Gaze moving back to Henry as she longed to be back at his side she hesitated nonetheless.
?
"Have you any questions," she asked.
Shopping with Leti may have been more enjoyable but she needed clothes to wear first unless she wished to draw undue attention. As such would effect Henry, she, of course, did not.

Had one of his subordinates in the army addressed Pool in like manner as Rena had done, that fellow would have been lucky, even blessed, to have received a mirror tongue lashing; most likely, he would have received a fist, or two to the stomach, as well as being reported. ?Pool had tolerated no such backtalk in the army, and even now, he had to struggle to remind himself that this¡ Was not, the army. This was his job, and he was being paid to serve these people. ?Both his, and Mary's eyes widened, not only at the sight of the ? bed in disarray,??but more specifically at the way they were being addressed. ?It was Mary who spoke first, you see here, ?we did¡ Knock, at least, Pool did, I heard him. ?Pool was determined to intercept the situation before either of the couple could say anything, they would get there say if they desired it, but he would have his first; pray you, dear Mary, you mustn't speak to the lady Rena in such a fashion. ?I was not addressing the lady Rena, I¡ Was speaking to Dr. Henry, Mary corrected, her tone somewhat prideful; it doesn't matter, you mustn't ?speak to him¡ In that way either. ?Pool then stepped forward, like the brave captain he had once been, and bowed deeply; I most humbly beseech you, lady Rena, Lord Dr. Henry, to grant your most humble pardon in this matter. ?As far as he knew, neither of the couple was royalty or nobility, but they were the master and mistress of the house, and Mary had committed a major infraction so far as he was concerned, her etiquette left something to be desired, ?and The older, more proper Butler, was determined to atone for it. ?He made a mental note to himself to speak to the master and mistress about Mary later, four it would not be proper, nor polite, to speak of it right here, in her presence. ?He decided that diplomacy was the key here, it was better for him to except at least partial blame for this, rather than seeing Mary catch trouble for it in full. ?I humbly ask your pardon, and extend my most sincere and deepest apologies to you, good lady Rena, for it would appear that my knock up on the door was in fact, too subtle, too¡ Soft, as it were. ?Please be assured that, in the future, I will employ my most sincere endeavor to make my presence at your door more properly known. ? He gave Mary a scathing look, which mutely warned her to remain silent, until they had both left the room, and would await a response from one or both of the couple before continuing, now, if my master and mistress please, how may we be of service to you this evening? ?Meanwhile Mary, realizing that she had made a grievous error, seemed to wilt as she took a few paces back, and stood in the doorway. ?Her expression showed a look of fear which had not been there before the altercation with lady Rena.??And besides all of that, you neglected to bow before speaking.?

God loves you.

Victors smile was warm and his eyes met hers in an expression of eternal, undying love and affection, as he watched her eat. ?He gently touched her shoulder when she began with her litany of questions; easy there love, it's all right, you are¡ In my laboratory, I just now returned you to the world of the living. You are already quite strong. ?Of course you can have more, you can have everything I have, he assured her, as he handed her more cheese and bread. That's it now, his voice was calm, gentle as he guided and instructed her, one bite at a time, that's it, there is no need to hurry, no need to eat too fast. ?Now and then, he would tear off a small bite of the food, and hold it to her lips, encouraging her, open up, that's right. ?Let's sit here a while, he first pulled up a chair for her, then took one for himself and sat beside her. ?You have not been away from the world of the living for very long, he told her, the year is 1893, and not too much has happened, I believe the one who took your life has¡ Gone, gone somewhere far away where he cannot bother us again. ?But even as he spoke these words, he seemed to hear a distant, haunting voice in his mind, why, father? Why didn't you feed me? Why¡ Did you not ?sit and talk to¡ Me, and teach¡ Me? ?He did his best to mentally silence the voice, hoping to push it entirely from his mind, as he put an arm around Elizabeth, and gazed into her eyes; you are as lovely, as beautiful as ever. Would you like still more to eat? Or, have you had enough for now? His tone was soft, calm and gentle, as he stroked her hair, and tenderly touched and stroked her cheek. ?The other accomplishments that may be to my credit, I count as nothing, as less than nothing, in comparison to having brought you back to my side. ?Now, we can have the life together that we were never allowed the chance to have, because of¡ Him. The last word, referring to Frank, was tinged with a bit of anger, a bit of a lingering resentment, like the rotten stench of an experiment gone awry. ?He felt he could experience no deeper joy, no deeper happiness, except of course, for the ghost, which brushed the edges of his mind with its unrelenting question¡ Why¡ Father??

"Is it normal for servants to come bursting all in a gaggle into their master's bed chamber,"Rena demanded a little tartly.
?
Why the hell did the maid have to come in here? At least they were both covered, but the disarray of the bed and room in general showed plainly that they had not been slumbering. And in this day and age she would be expected to sleep apart from Henry, no matter that engaged couples likely got down to it all the time. They had to be subtle about it.
?
"Unless we are to begin barring the door against the hired help, bloody knock next time," she told both sharply.
?
"I assume you both recall how it is done? Fist curled and applied to the bloody door on the outside?"
?
Damn she didn't know she had it in her to be sarcastic as her parents and even Jekyll were. Now though she was beginning to see the point.
?
She studied Pool more intently, but her eyes did briefly scan over the young maid with some open suspicion. She didn't like at all the way the low born girl looked at her Henry. Rena's only open reaction to her noticing of this was to place one small hand on Henry's arm. Such a strong large lovely arm...it needed to be around her again very soon. Perhaps while they waited on whatever he told them to bring. And thus she was properly and pleasantly distracted from the unknown?riggers of Victorian life.

Pool had been sleeping quite peacefully when he heard it, that dreaded sound which no servant truly enjoys hearing in the middle of the night, the bell was ringing¡ His master or mistress, or perhaps both of them, needed him, or needed something he could provide. ?What now, he grumbled to himself as he reluctantly exchanged the pleasant blanket of sleep for the more unpleasant, untimely cloak of duty and action; why couldn't they have simply let Mary and me prepare them something while we were awake? ?He gave a weary sigh ? as he quickly arose and dressed, thinking to himself that¡ His job could be much worse, and, so could his pay. ?He hurried to Mary's door and gently knocked, Mary? Mary, awaken, the master and mistress need us, they have summoned us. ?He then hurried to the master bedroom door, knocked, then, assuming that since one of them had rung the bell, they were expecting him, opened the door, peered in, then stepped inside the room. ?Bowing, he stated, a most pleasant evening to you, master Doctor, Lady Rena, how may I serve you this fine evening?
?
Meanwhile Mary, having the advantage of more subtle limbs, and youth to her credit, Sprang from her bed, Dawned her servants apparel, and was at the master bedroom door only a few steps behind pool; she also stepped inside the room and bowed, but said nothing, seeing as how Pool was already making the inquiry as how best to serve their needs.?not that pool was any faster, but he had the Headstart.

"I don't want you to be proper,"Rena said, words tumbling out fast as she hugged him tightly.
"Just...don't leave my sight...please...Now that I have found you...I would be frightened to separate...I told you I feel that we are in danger. I meant it. I did not bring this danger to you...From what you said in the tavern, you are at least in part aware of it..."
?
She sighed, pressing her cheek against his chest as she wished things could just be nice and simple. They usually were for them and that's how she preferred it as did he.
?
Finally smiling she added,"And it's good you prefer a partner in crime rather than a cook, because I can definitely keep up with any of your antics, but cooking without supreme supervision and clear?instruction would be far beyond my skills," she proclaimed cheerfully.

"But then again if you'd wanted the sort of woman who could cook as well as effectively drive you mad with boredom with her endless prattling...someone with whom you would have to suppress yourself, why you'd already be married."
?
Lifting her head she took his face in her small hands and kissed him again.
?
"But you've waited for me because I am like you. I can keep you interested, and never disapprove of what you do so long as you're doing it with me."
?
She kissed him again before falling serious once more with a sigh.
?
"If we can just sort out this trouble...Insane though it is going to likely prove to be."
?
She gave a short bitter laugh.
?
"But considering who we are...perhaps some would believe we are deserving of punishment," she murmured half to herself.
?
"But food, indeed. You wanted food."
?
Her eyes moved?to the bell pull surely used to summon his servants, and she reached to give it a tug.
?
"Indeed you surely pay dearest Pool quite well. Lets see him earn it. And your cook to," she concluded cheerfully.
?
Gaze hurriedly casting about she caught sight of what was probably Henry's dressing gown and hurriedly drew it over herself. Clothing was another thing she would have to attend tomorrow? she thought with a sigh. The thought was enough to give her a headache. Casting a sad look to Henry she spoke apologetically.
?
"Henry my love...If I cause you trouble I am so very sorry. My arrival was unplanned I swear it. I never mean to inconvenience you. Please know that and I will work as hard as I can to be a help to you instead I swear it."
?
She met his gaze hoping he would see the truth in her eyes.
?
?
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Re: Home At Last (Rena/Henry/Pool/etc)

"A lady who anticipates her husband's needs, a future husband at that, is indispensable indeed," Henry sincerely complimented. "The?best woman is generally?supposed to be good in the kitchen, as well as other areas, but naturally, I have other proclivities and for me, you?are the ideal partner in crime, Lady Rena," Henry happily reassured. "Your abilities are as remarkable as they are unexpected. I suppose you have drained me at last and some nourishment may be in order. To eat or to sleep, the eternal dilemma of youth I have not expected to find myself facing...Dear old Poole, we may have to interrupt his comfort then if you will not fault me for that..." Henry began but Rena's next words put?any attempt of humor firmly behind him.
?
"So, serious, my Rena. What is your concern? Did I say something too lightly to cause concern? Did somebody else threaten you? Rest assure, I do not intend to neglect you. I haven't considered all the necessities of proper behavior, I admit, but I have been drunk in the tavern and last night does not reflect well on my general behavior. I shall not let you down, or I shall endeavor not to, at the very least, for only a dead man can ever hope to please a lady," Henry concluded with a soft smile.

Locked Re: Late Night Lab Work (Victor/Elizabeth)

Was he dreaming? Could this be real? Victor didn't know, was not absolutely certain that he was actually hearing what he was hearing; had she just spoken? Had she actually said his name, but the squeeze on his hands, the pain¡ Made him realize that yes, not only was she alive, but he also¡ Was very much alive, alive and, quite capable of feeling pain. ?A part of him ?actually reveled in the pain for a few seconds before it became unbearable. Oh, my Elizabeth! Yes, yes my dearest love it is I, and you¡ You are alive! ?They were ?both members of Victorian society, but they were, after all, quite alone in so far as they knew. ?Here, let's do this, he encouragedd as he gently pulled his hands away, replacing them with his arms around her in a more intimate embrace; oh my dearest Elizabeth, my long lost, and now found, love of my life. ?It was one of the rare times when Victor actually felt passionate, for she was far more precious to him than even the most current scientific discovery, be it one of his own, or that of someone else. ?He longed to hold her, to kiss her, to share their wedding night that they had not gotten to have, right then and there, that early morning in the lab, but he realized that all of this might be frightening to her; she was in fact, very much like a new creation. ?Midnight head come, and had shortly past, so it would be several glorious hours until dawn, until they might have to leave for different surroundings, or whatever might happen that day. ?He gently kissed her lips, then stepped back to observe her, you are as beautiful, as lovely as ever, he complemented, even death itself could not take away your ravishing beauty. He would await her response before stating, right now, the first thing we must do is get you something to eat; I have a few things at home. ?Then he remembered that he had brought a few things with him from his home, here, bread, cheese, some meat and a bit of fruit for you, here you are my love. He began handing them to her slowly,??wondering if she would remember how to eat. Do you remember? He did not mind if he had to feed her, right now he would not mind doing anything for her, so wonderfully glad he was to have her back. Now, things would likely be as they were before, they could even have another wedding if she wanted, they would have their wedding night, and live blissfully together as husband and wife; children would likely be born soon, he thought to himself, as he watched her reaction to the food. How wonderful it will be to have sons and daughters to carry on my legacy, he thought to himself, as a stray thought appeared out of nowhere, like a ?note of disharmony??in a lovely Melody, it was the thought of Rena, telling him of her grandfather named¡ Frank. ?A slight frown touched his lips, and left them equally as quickly; who knows, he thought to himself, perhaps now that I have her back, maybe I can even forgive Frank. He decisively pushed all thoughts of Frank, Rena, and everything and everyone else from his mind. He was now glad of Renas earlier rejection of him, who needed her now anyway, since he had his Elizabeth back by his side. ?Giving her a warm smile, he stated, I don't believe I have known this much happiness and joy since¡ Since our wedding day before¡ Before I lost you. ?He felt as though he should be feeding her soup right now, but there was no soup in the lab at present, so they would have to get that elsewhere. ?Either that, or he would have to make it, which of course, he would not mind doing, not for her.???? ???

God loves you.

?Time had no meaning for Elizabeth in what she liked to think of as?
the void.? Nothing changed for her but everything around her had?
changed.? In truth she floated without much awareness which was the way?
she liked it.? It hurt too much to be aware.? The world was moving on?
without her and she couldn't fully join in or leave which she found?
agonizing.? She'd felt herself maintaining longer periods of awareness?
of late though of which she wasn't happy.? What had changed, she?
wondered idolly.

???? For this reason she was startled to feel something happening to?
her.? It had been so long since anything had happened to her. She felt?
herself inexeribly drawn to this body, her body was it? She didn't?
wonder how her body was still around since in a way time had no meaning?
for her and in fact she wasn't sure how much time had passed.? Slowly?
but surely she was drawn back into this body.? Her body jerked randomly?
she had no way of stopping it. She opened her eyes and sat up after a?
bit.? However she was too astonished at her new surroundings to say much?
or even think much.

???? "Victor," she asked her tone sounding oddly childlike to her own?
ears.? She squeezed his hands rather hard and continued staring.? She?
didn't realize the strength of her grip.
