Re: Streets Of London (Klaus/Amara/Valerie)
?
"Well he doesn't have to continue to breathe after
he solves this one problem for me," Klaus told Valerie, then stopped in his
tracks, a hand shooting out to grasp Amara's upper arm.
"Did you say Ester?? What in all the nine
hells does she want?"
?
No. Not right now! She was not going to ruin his
chances right now!?
"So sad," he said, words intended to fill in Amara
and Valerie as well as to the ghost of his dead mother if she did happen to be
present.
"A mother should protect and defend her children to
the last...instead of trying to have them killed when she was the one to create
what they are on so many levels."
?
His words were cold and hard as were his eyes. He
released Amara's arm, only just realizing he was still lightly grasping
it.

Re: Sweet Dreams
I am¡, I¡¯m sorry for it all, for wronging you, even for making him, Victor began, but was unable to continue, due to the coughing and overwhelming nausea he now felt. ?he leaned on the wall, wondering how long he would even be able to stay sitting up, vaguely noticing how Elizabeth called for Abby. But he was too ill now to say or do much of anything about it, she had basically taken charge, which was all right with him considering the circumstances. He certainly was not able to do it at present. He casually wondered why she said her mistress, needed her, perhaps a mere oversight of phrase, or some such. ?Of course he had not knowingly done this to himself, but even he now wondered if there had been some sort of foul play, or accidental spoilage of food. But again, he was still too ill to mention any of this. The question flashed through his mind, could someone have actually come up with something to neutralize the potions he had been taking, thereby making them of none effect?
He nodded when she instructed him to wait there, thinking to himself, what else could I do, but not saying this, as he found his head felt like a giant boulder whenever he moved it to nod. Ooc, do we have someone else in here playing Abby in this thread?? |
Re: The exchanging of unbelievable information, Henry, Rena, Leti, Oliver
?
"Why don't you simply set traps on your drawers, or
where ever the items were that were tampered with," Oliver suggested casually
with an arch of brows.
?
?
"When are you contacting Reynolds about this
visit,"Rena asked.
"Don't forget we have the party with Victor tomorrow night as well.? Hopefully we'll get it out of him what he does and if it's useful that would be grand.? If only we could have a little group of exceptional." ?
?
Dare she hope they could be that lucky.
?
Henry had mentioned the person writing in his notes to her, but not to Leti
yet.? Rena had assured Henry that the additions were not his own because
she'd seen his original notes when he'd shown them to her mother.
?
?
?
"Could someone get in past your servants, though,"Leti asked with a
confused frown.
?
Rena couldn't decide if Oliver's expression was vaguely interested or
bored.

Re: Sweet Dreams
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý"Oh, there is nothing to be sorry for, darling," Elizabeth sincerely objected. Victor may understand her words as he would, but as far as she was concerned. He really did not do this to himself. If he should be sorry for anything, it is for playing God. With his creation. With her life. Even, a little bit, with himself. He owed it more to everyone involved. He was utterly guilty. Yet as always, the crime he confessed to was precisely the wrong one. The understated one, the one that he could not be rightfully and fairly be blamed for.
?
She could laugh at him. She could have felt sorry for him at a different point in his life. But his strangeness was far too overwhelming for anything so ordinary. It required an equally bizarre response. One she did not truly feel capable of just then. Except on the level of contemplating it, without enacting it. "Why would you be alright though? This thing is not something that happens frequently, is it? So then you might not be able to just wait it out," she reasoned. Not so much trying to convince him as puzzle the strangeness out. It would be almost ironic if his creation struck?back at Victor. With a new kind of weapon, one he was not prepared for. It would be very interesting, especially if that meant her dreams could be prophetic in part, with how alarming she remembered them to be.
?
But she needed to get to the bottom of it. "I shall go question Abby first. In case she did something different. Possibly tried something new, some spoiled food? I don't know if that could explain it, but the doctor might want to know at any rate. Wait here, my dearest. Oh Abby, your Mistress needs you," Elizabeth summoned loudly, even as she proceeded towards what she thought of as the staff quarters. She would have mentioned the Master of the house once. First and Foremost. But he was less relevant now, wasn't he? As Keres and the friendly man Cylas showed her, she was the special one this time around. The Mistress of the House.?And she relished the thought of it, even as she moved on to launch her impromptu investigation.?

Re: The exchanging of unbelievable information, Henry, Rena, Leti, Oliver
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý"Sad, that he could not get laid, That is true enough of any man," Hyde casually confirmed Leticia's appraisal. "See, you got it, my savage girl. The observation skills, I mean. Money is but one commodity I offer. Connections prestige. Most importantly, the novelty of me never wear off. I am an? endless fountain of entertainment, just ask anybody,?" Hyde eagerly reassured the vampire with all the due sincerity.
?
"I do like to be surrounded by a few good people I trust though," the good doctor slowly admitted. "I had lately reasons to believe that somebody is watching me and perhaps trying to interfere with my plans. I cannot truly deduce where the opposition is coming from. The unnerving thing is that they don't seem to be too covert about it.?Recently they made a few additions to my notes about my experiments. I cannot remember if I told the rest of you about it. It has been on my mind, but I was waiting for the right moment to disclose my concern. Perhaps it is the very culprit we are all worried about, who is trifling with what is not his to trifle with. I shall gladly put an end to?his meddling, I promise you.
?
Very well, we shall go with the patient story then, for dear Reynold's benefit. It would be most interesting to see how he interacts with you. He has not had such an extensive company that was free to move, for quite a while. His assistants likely don't count in that number since they are nominally subordinate to him, and I suspect he may have other leverage against them, besides the financial one...yes very intriguing this whole matter is. I shall be glad to unveil the mystery of Dr Reynolds once and for all..." Henry admitted, his expression void of any traces of levity. ??????

Re: Sweet Dreams
How he hated appearing so frail, how he despised having to admit that he was not well, but it was his only way of getting help, so that perhaps he could be well again. No I am, I don¡¯t feel so well, he admitted, looking ashamed, his face growing even more pale. ?i¡¯m sorry love, I had meant for this to be such a glorious night for us, even his voice rasped?and wavered, as if it would leave him at any moment. ?It was then??that a deep, violent cough came upon him. I feel so hot and yet so cold at the same time, he admitted, even as he shivered,?and goosebumps emerged on his arms and legs. ?if Elizabeth had chosen to strike him now, there would be no way he could block her, as his own body continued its rebellion against all the enhancements, and foreign substance that has been placed into it, against the burden he had placed upon it for years.
I do hate having to summon a doctor at this late hour, he gave only mild protest, but I suppose it is the only way; maybe I will be all right I¡, But when he tried to get to his feet, his body immediately protested, and put them back down on the floor. ? He looked up at her, nodding when she asked about Abby, yes Abby is her name, he replied, but she would see the weakness, the terror, and the profound pain in his eyes. The cough hit him once more. ?between fits of coughing, he managed, it is¡, No, more than, than I, deserve. Ooc, several possibilities here. Maybe it is just the potions, or maybe he thinks that, maybe someone put something else in the potion, or maybe this has been going on for a while and he doesn¡¯t know it? Kind of interesting to see how this could play out. |
Re: Sweet Dreams
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý"You don't feel well? But in which way? You seem the same to me?" Elizabeth admitted half questioningly. He always looked frail for a man. Weak, worn out. That was why it was so surprising that he could block her attempt at a blow the?day before. Keres had to be right about him. He was using some enhancement on himself and lying to her. But she supposed that was the least of his sins against her and others. He may not look any more feeble now, but she supposed it only mattered that he felt the difference. If she didn't do something, she might be accused of foul play, and this was too early in the game to risk it. Later perhaps when all cards were played out, but not just then.
?
"Very well, I shall fetch Abby. Her name is Abby, right? I will tell her to summon a doctor and promise to pay any fees for fetching them this late, or early, whatever is the case. I will get you some help, just hold on, my dear," Elizabeth reassured. Now full of confidence, and undisguised contempt. It was the dream. It had to be, It showed her the menace, and the promise as well, unbalancing her in the process. "Can I get you some water first? What was it you asked for," she encouraged him to complete his sentence. Sadly taking perverse pleasure in his weakness and her domination. She did not like that. She would have rather overcome him when he was at his best. But there it was. Her betrayed her and the wound from the betrayal was still festering. ?

Re: Sweet Dreams
Victor gave a start at hearing the voice, it sounded so strange compared to what he had seen in the dream. He glanced around, half?expecting to see Frank, for he had expected to hear Frank¡¯s voice. But it was truly his very own Elizabeth, and she seemed concerned for him. Besides the fear brought about by the dream,?along with the long hours he had worked recently, and the ordeal with Elizabeth, there was another reason why he was so unwell. All the potions he had taken, especially the ones he had taken recently, while trying to bring Elizabeth back, we¡¯re taking their toll on him. They had?helped him, he had increased speed, and strength, but as with all such things, they were now exacting their price. For however brilliant Victor was, all that brilliance still lived in a very human body, which could only take so much overwork, stress, and chemicals of all kinds being put into it to make it think and do as he wanted it to do. ?he now felt nauseous, dizzy and cold, and found that he was quite unable to stand. He sat on the floor, and leaned against the wall.
I..., I don¡¯t feel so well, he finally managed with reluctance, hating to admit his own frailty, but feeling more ill?than even his own pride would allow him to conceal. He looked at her when she mentioned his creation accosting her, his eyes strangely hollow, and his face appearing as if he were already a ghost. He noticed her chiding?remark, but was too ill to do or say anything about it right now. ?he wanted to tell her that he had in fact seen Frank, wearing her, face. But he felt even too ill to try to articulate what he had seen, the circumstance quite unusual for him. Might help, something, to drink, perhaps, his words faltered, and did not come out incorrect format because he was too ill at present to even think how to properly speak. He lowered his head, unable to say any more at the present time, all he could do was hope that she would have mercy on him, and vaguely wonder, had one of his servants done this? It was mainly due to all the potions, but it was also possible for any wealthy person to have at least one servant who wanted that person out of the way, perhaps for a share of the wealth, or perhaps for freedom from servitude. ?after what seemed to him like an eternity, he looked at her as best he could, I know, I don¡¯t deserve it, but, please¡ |
Re: Sweet Dreams
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý"Abby? Is that you," Elizabeth sleepily wondered and then realized with a start what it was she was truly seeing. Or rather who. "Eh, Victor, dear, you are not in bed. Come back to...oh I remember now. That's right? Should I bring you something to drink? It almost looks like you are in need of ale," Elizabeth tiredly stated. It was once so natural of her to be nurturing towards her gentle lover. He needed affection, he obviously lacked it, and she'd had it in plenty to give.
?
But not now. Not after all she has been through. Not after all she has been deprived of. Not after the great person she was in the process of becoming. One above limitations of humanity. With a sense of purpose very few humans could boast of. She has acquired many strengths and needs. But lost that bit of herself that allowed her to be compassionate. At least towards the man she now recognized to be very fallible and beneath her. She did not know how to console him, and did not wish for the unpleasant duty to do so in the first place. It would be easier to relegate the difficult chore to the servants. To wake them up if need be. Rather than to have to deal with what she did not feel equipped of dealing. But the had to try, For the sake of propriety if nothing else.
?
"Do you need medical assistance, my dear? I can call somebody. You do not look well. You almost look the way I felt when your creation accosted me," Elizabeth subtly chided, though her tones were softer this time.?

Sweet Dreams
Victor had not rested well that night. He also had a dream, in which strangely enough, Elizabeth was chasing after him, not to love him, or even satisfy him, in fact it really didn¡¯t even look much like her at all. The thing chasing him had the partial?likeness of Elizabeth, but also looked very much like, the only way he would know how to describe it was, a beast, or a monster. ?In his dream, he hastily traversed the various hallways in his own home, trying his best to avoid the beast that was now Elizabeth. But she always seemed to find him, even in his lab, where he had thought she would probably never go. ?he could even taste the calming potion which he quickly downed in an effort to calm himself enough to think rationally. ?In?this weird nightmare, the potion had the opposite effect, enhancing his senses, and his fear. At one point it seems to him that Elizabeth took the form of a ghost, an eerie white mist, which seem to follow him everywhere he went, as well as to be waiting for him when he got there. There was nothing for him to do but run straight headlong into the mist, as it surrounded him. ?and run into it, he did, thinking that, once he left it behind him, the mist would be no more. But it materialized, becoming something even more hideous, this time having the face of Elizabeth, but the body of¡, No! No! He Shrieked,?even shrieking allowed. she was mine, Frank, now the two of you just¡, Just, get away, please just, get away. The beast actually had the face?of Elizabeth, but the body of his creation, and then the beautiful face of Elizabeth opened its mouth to reveal¡, No, he screamed again, as the fangs sought to pierce him. No, I gave you life, and now you want to take mine. No! ?The eyes of Elizabeth glared hungrily at him, and even as they did so, it seemed they took a life of their own, revealing other large fangs?coming from two smaller mouths. ? And now the beast had him firmly in her claws, flailing him about as a cat might play with a mouse before killing it, all the while speaking something about, going to a party, of all things. ?I,?don¡¯t, want, to party, not with you, not with anyone, just, get away.
The?master bedroom in the house was not where the servants would easily hear if anyone screamed or shrieked. ? The beast struck at him, just as the actual Elizabeth had done earlier that evening, but this time, there was no blocking it, no getting away as a huge fist connected. He felt the pain, and it penetrated even into his conscious mind, awakening him from an already fitful sleep. Victor sat upright in bed, and was soon on his feet, heading for the other side of the room, and if Elizabeth awoke now, she would see him trembling, huddled in one corner of the room, in unbridled terror? |
Sweet Dreams
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýVictor left her alone and she thought she would have pleasant dreams. They were to an extent. Very pleasant dreams of Cylas and her working her outrage. Making friends with Keres again. And her charming husband. Running away from Victor. Running away from a tall dark shadow that she just knew was named Captain Dance. She had displeased him, frustrated his plans and she had to pay.
?
Victor was compelled to make her pay,?a moronic smile pasted onto his lips. He was chasing her all around, with sweet promises and empty needs. Elizabeth was having none of them met apparently, and he was getting separated from her the way King Henry separated from his wife.?One time, he stripped his mask away, and she shrieked in horror as she saw his true face behind it. "I want to party," she informed him incongruously, not able to form a better response.
?
"Please let us go to this party," she asked, and his?repeating silent nod was all the more frightening because of?mysterious smile that accompanied each nod. "Stop it, please," she reasonably?requested?but he did not, so she sought to distract him again. "I want the party, don't you want to meet everyone,"?Elizabeth wondered, trying to remember the names Keres had mentioned. "Renfield and Dance will all be there," she added and he seemed to be taken with the idea at last. No, not taken truly, but...what, thoughtful, that was it. Apprehensive, and finally afraid. That was very satisfying to her. "A party then? I want to go," she found herself repeating, relishing the feeling of being in control of his fears this time.? She was turning in her sleep, repeating her suggestion with varying degrees of comfort, and in the final analysis Victor ended up putting his mask back on. Which was a small triumph where she was concerned. Because nobody needed to see? That face again. ??? |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
"Help,"CYlas bellowed as the far smaller girl dragged him up the stairs.
Though he was big and muscular she was a vampire and damn it monsters had gotten the better of him too much of late. "I"m about tired of him,"Keress grumbled. She was a tall willowy young woman with long dark hair. A slender shorter man sat across from her, his hair nearly a white blonde. "Master and Mistress...Dracula's new little friend is awake and angry,"Cylas said, fear dripping along with frantic warning from his voice. "Then go get her someone to eat," Keres said, irritated. "Yes," the small man added. "Do you forget how to show a guest proper hospitality, cylas?" "I reckon I do," Cylas said miserably as he attempted to pull away from Lucy. "Please miss, I am to bring you someone to eat." "Where is his backbone, Love," the slight man asked Keres. "Did Dance break him?" "Only a little, I think. He will mend," Keres replied with a smile. "Mr. Sackler...Lobster boy did get vicious he did,"Cylas babbled in way of self defense. "That was last week. You survived and no one cares," the little man replied waving him away. "Good evening, Miss Westenra. I do hope you slept well," he said, then gave a chuckle as if amused by his own wit. I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head. |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
¡°I suppose you had better accompany me to find the owners of this place.¡± Lucy westenra responded in feigned politeness with a sneer , sarcasm evident. ¡°It is none of your business. In any case,¡± the vampire sighed derisively, ¡°i think so. Anyway, i thought we had to be somewhere.¡±
So saying, she snatched her hand away from the mans, took his arm and walked up the rest of the steps and in to the kitchen. |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
"No. I ain't supposed to let you out alone,"Cylas said, reaching to grasp Lucy's slender wrist.
"Now you just behave Miss o I'll be gettin' in trouble and I can't be havin' that again." He recalled captain Dance's last threats and Keres's uncaring reaction and the little one, Renfield or Sackler, or whatever 'is name was this week calling him human vermin... He had Cyclops blood he did and he deserved better treatment. "Do you even know what you is now," he asked, giving Lucy a sly look. I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head. |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
¡°Yes, i¡¯m awake now. Lets go then¡±
As Sylas turned away as if to make for the staircase, she charged at him. He whirled round at the sound of her footsteps, then turned back and ran. Big mistake. Lucy increased her speed effortlessly, grabbed him from behind, turned him to face her then let go. ¡°You¡¯re lucky i have other things on my mind today. Now, foolish man, go before you have cause to regret staying in my company. I can manage from here.¡± |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
"'ello there," a gruff street accented male voice called.
It was tinged with nervousness and a mild scent of his fear was in the air. "Is you awake down there, then, Miss? You'll be wantin' to eat or drink or whatever...I can help so long as it isn't me...I'm valuable, I am." Cylas enjoyed helping Elisabeth Frankenstein kill, but this one made him nervous. Though both women were discovering what they were, Elisabeth wasn't likely to tear his throat out. "Mr. Renfield told me to help you get some food," he explained, before realizing she'd not know who that was, but did it truly matter? I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head. |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
Lucy Westenra awoke as if from a coma, one moment she was having a dream about a prospective suitor and the next, without warning, she started to stir. Her eyes opened and she stared around confused. Trying to place her surroundings was no use, but where was she?
Then it hit her. Mina had been stabbed! a man had betrayed her and, but how could he? She was awake so perhaps it didn't happen after all. But she knew that it had happened and pretending it hadn't was useless. But vampires weren't real, were they? So why was she feeling so hungry and the only thing she wanted right now was blood? She got up gingerly from the hard, tiled floor but it was so dark in there that she was unable to see where she was. Just as she had decided to explore, she heard footsteps coming from the floor above and waited. The footsteps continued and then the door opened, she moved away instinctively, perhaps in anticipation of more attacks. |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
"Why can't you do that more quietly," Keres complained dispassionately.
"It's annoying when stupid girls start in screaming." Other than a dark look, thevampire ignored her as he opened his wrist and dripped blood into Lucy's mouth. "I hope your woman doesn't mind her little present that she didn't ask for," Keres added. "And thank you for asking how my day was," she said tartly. "I found a new member for our little organization. An interesting one I can use against someone so it's extra special." "Here is where I pretend to care because it doesn't serve me," Vlad asked. "Yes." He sighed and carried Lucy into the sitting room laying her on a velvet couch. "I need her somewhere dark for 3 days. The basement. Please don't let anything eat her while she's inert." Keres shrugged. "I should be able to manage that." OOC Feel free to skip ahead the 3 days for her to wake. I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head. |
Re: A life changing event, Vlad/Lucy
Lucy thought this stranger rather rude and quick to anger when at last, the door was opened and they went inside and he'd spoken sharply to the woman. Then, all of a sudden, he was grabbing her and, this couldn't be happening, and then to her horror, he sank his teeth into her throat. She screamed, a blood curdling sound, but the vampire merely carried on regardless. Lucy continued to struggle frantically and shreik but it was no use, and then, as is bound to happen when so much blood has been lost, she fell into oblivion
