Re: Dreams and Nightmares, tag Mary, Henry, Rena, Leti ETC

"Yes, mostly splendid, my friend. It's the sense of new adventures coming into my life. Along awaited change. So pleasant, so unexpected, to the point of unbelievable. But the other things...well also unexpected, and less pleasant.

Let's just say I have some concerns. My...would be competitors are getting too aggressive for my liking. And though some in London don't believe me to be a true gentleman, rightly or not, my competition has, well, even less manners. And no restrictions at all. It may become as bloody as the war you seem to have experience yet never wish to talk about.

I respect that of course, old chap. I can speak for several people myself, and guess at what is being unsaid. I don't know the particulars but do count on your ability to discern the danger. That same ability that allowed you to survive, much as mine lets me navigate the jungle that our noble city is not often seen to be, when it should.

My competitors don't care for the country so much either, alas, as they have even less place in Her Majesty's domain than the Unfortunate Ones. They issue threats, threats I cannot take to the constables at Scotland Yard, because I have no direct link to those who issued the threat, only vague speculations about their identity.

I do have some plans to ascertain the levels of danger, naturally. They might be able to see with utter clarity their unwise course of action against me. But until they are thusly rebuked, we must all take care. Anything out of the ordinary with the maid servants, infrequent visitors, even a paper boy, must be properly noticed," Henry casually elaborated, not wishing to put his vague suspicions into a narrow category that would befuddle unprepared senses instead of helping them to sharpen.

Very well, mistress, Mary replied with a slight bow, before withdrawing to replace the coffee pot.

Meanwhile, there was a knock on the door. Curious, Mary murmured to herself, I wonder who that is. ?When asked if there was a, Mary, who lived there, she nodded and replied with diffidence, yes, I’m Mary. When?the flowers were presented to her, she replied simply, thank you. She stood there holding the vase, and looking at the roses. There was no way she could even pretend these were pink; the most beautiful red I’ve ever seen, she murmured to herself, like, like blood, And fire. She then walked into the kitchen, and casually placed the vase where?it?could be seen, but said nothing about it.

As Lety was helping Rena dress in the master bedroom, Pool was helping Henry in the other room.

What a lovely morning, he observed, helping the doctor get into his dress shirt, so, how are things with you this day, Doctor?

Being a man of relatively few words, Poool said nothing else, but he would give the occasional nod of agreement to whatever the doctor said.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares, tag Mary, Henry, Rena, Leti ETC

"Excellent plan, my good fellow," Henry happily agreed with Poole. He found it surprising that his morning mood was much more excellent than expected. He was generally on the irritable side when first rising, but Rena has made some kind of a difference.

Despite all obstacles, based on his general disposition, he felt almost cheerful, in that bothersome fashion he has disliked in his earlier patients.

It was uncanny, but perhaps it should not have been too surprising, Rena did make him feel different, satisfied in a way he could not have imagined before.

Re: Dreams and Nightmares, tag Mary, Henry, Rena, Leti ETC

Pool nodded, clearing his throat softly, yes mistress, I know that she spent the night last night, he replied, concerning Letty.
Nodded when Reena stated that they would have things more organized after today. It’s quite understandable mistress, he replied, and his usual soft and soothing tone. He nodded again, right away, please allow me to go and make Letti?aware that you are in need of her assistance, if that is all right with you, Doctor, then I will come back and assist you in whatever you require.

He would await the nod from one or both of them which would inform him that he was dismissed to go and get Letty. Assuming that this permission was granted, he would then go to her door, and knock on it.

God loves you.

There was a soft knock upon Rena and Henry’s door. Pool would wait to be granted entrance, and if this happened, he would slowly open the door, and walk in. ?there was Rena, looking as if she would burst into tears at any moment, and of course Henry.

Doctor??mistress??how may I be of service at this time?

He studied them both, particularly Rena, that was so much he would have to learn of her, if she permitted it, of?course. ?But she always seemed to have it so together, Pool?wondered what had happened that had?seemed to ruffle her otherwise flawless composure.?

God loves you.

No. In fact not, but she'd always been in her element, never in a situation that made her feel insane with no backing or support. But she did have backing. She had Henry, who unlike what he'd previously said of himself as Jekyll, supported her, was much like himself far more than expected, and wasn't difficult at all. And she had Leti, and even Oliver she supposed. They'd get through this. For now, though, there was the matter of getting dressed. When Poole arrived, she'd have to ask him to bang on Leti's door so she could help her dress. Dressing in so many layers was enough to make one wish to cry as well, she thought darkly.

"You cannot dream at all? How interesting. I cannot often dream either. Or rather, I am not able to recall a lot of my dreams. Mainly bits and pieces. The ones that impressed me the most with their vivid nature, and violence, I gather.

Yes, I am going to ring for Poole, Leticia should be able to put your mind at ease, I think that girl has a very adaptable practical mind. You'll be in good hands," Henry smiled, hoping to be reassuring.

Steadily proceeding to ring for Poole, he let the day start in earnest.

Henry slept and dreamt of fantastical beasts, odd monsters, but not all hostile. Humans presented more of a danger, always have, but he felt he could handle it. The one thing that bothered him after he found himself awaken, was that he could not remember. A voice in the dream told him to remember something and that it was crucial.

He felt himself being on the verge of remembering something he had no way of knowing directly in the first place, but not quite there. He wasn't going to force it though, dreams never responded properly to being forced, he supposed abstractly, though in truth, trying to think back of a particular dream that refused to be forced he could not name one either. It was all peculiar then, but taking into account the events of last night, perhaps no more peculiar than usual.

"I suppose I should ask Poole to help us prepare. Breakfast for one thing, clothes for another..." Henry suggested softly, not sure yet how light of a sleeper his Lady has been and if she was able to proceed or needed more time to recover from the pleasing debauchery of yesterday.

When Leti woke, she relished her? morning bath, never having had one with running water until she came here. No heating water over the stove. That was something she was getting used to fast. She tried not to take too long, though, in case doctor Henry needed her for something. Or Rena...She may require help getting herself dressed. She didn't feel it proper to knock and ask, though, so decided to go downstairs and wait in the dining room for instructions.

"Ideally the potion is supposed to bring out the best in me. The highest potential I should experience as a superior being. The most refined attitudes, abilities and actions I could hope to muster..." Henry slowly considered, a satisfied smile suddenly disrupting the sobriety of his train of thoughts.

"Of course if I am already utterly perfect, then the potion would not strip me off my perfection, nor may it add to what is already fully refined. In such a case, no it would not change me in the least. I am glad we both agree that I am already as perfect as I may be," Hyde happily suggested, a very slight curve of is lips suggesting that his words were perhaps given in jest, at least to some degree, as the rest could be ascribed to being words of truth as far as the good doctor was concerned.

"Truth be told, I don't completely know how to be careful, though the upside of that is how well I do being partially careless while being able to get away with it. I was somewhat getting tired of having to hold myself back anyway. There were benefits to that, yes, but not sufficient enough in the way of reward. Whatever comes, comes, and yes, I will always be happy to help you out of your clothes," Henry happily quipped.

I hate feeling stupid emotions here...but it's a matter of being out of control...too much in the unknown, too much at risk here from so my fronts, including how we live our personal lives."
She approached him, sighing and leaning into his chest, winding her arms around his waist. "I don't want to bring trouble down onto you, so we must be careful. At least at home or behind closed doors, we never had to do that, so I am concerned that I will misstep over something I don't even know would be wrong...But hopefully if such arises I can just punch it in the face." She laughed.
"Now will you help me out of these dreadful clothes?"She supposed she should've thought to ask Leti, but she'd never needed bloody help undressing before. She muttered as much to Henry as she began tugging at the laces at the back of her dress.
