Bonnie checked her phone for about the millionth time since last night hoping there’d been some word considering she’d used her magic once again to send a note to Damon but this time it’d been about the package that had arrived with his name on it. She roamed the halls of the Salvatore Boarding House turned school for the supernaturally gifted trying to take her mind off things.

Who was she kidding? She couldn’t stop thinking about how getting her best friend back safely hinged on getting Damon to flip his switch. He’d been on his own for a few years now so things being as Elena feared couldn’t be ruled out. If he didn’t feel the same about her anymore then her life being in danger might not mean anything to him.?

She sighed heavily having paused briefly outside the library where she’d almost hoped to find Alaric. It was downright hard keeping all of this from him and everyone else but she didn’t know if bringing them into the loop would help matters.?

Then there was Enkil who’d come to her for help last night with finding his missing wife. She’d spent the better part of the day pouring over books at the foundry before coming back here and all her research led her to the theory that perhaps it was a case of demonic possession. It was so weird even considering it.?

She ducked into her former history teacher’s office going directly to where the small package had been hidden to retrieve it then the cellphone she’d left charging. There was no way of knowing whether Damon would come for either of these things but she’d decided to keep them with her just in case. With the small package tucked under her arm she pocketed his cellphone then just as she was leaving the room a shrill pinging sound caused her to check her phone.?

She half smiled at reading the text as it least one Petrova doppelg?nger seemed to be getting their happily ever after. But it was kinda hard to imagine Klaus Mikaelson as anyone’s husband given her history with the man but he’d seemed different when they’d talked about protecting his daughter. Now if she could just get Elena home safely.?

The Bennett witch made her way into the rather large living room where she flopped down onto the couch while reading another text she’d gotten though this one had come from Hayley with whom she’d gotten in touch the night before. They’d been discussing the littlest Mikaelson along with the newly turned hybrid who was still learning the ropes.
