Mystic Grille (Matt/Nyssa)

¡°Sometimes I swear that I will never understand this generation.¡± Nyssa was aware a statement like that might raise questions as she appeared no older than her early twenties. Probably around about the same age as the sheriff if she had to hazard a guess as he seemed quite young. ¡°The internet does have its uses though I think too many people don¡¯t look up from their electronic devices enough to even enjoy the life they¡¯ve been given.¡±

?

¡°Where I was before? It was most unpleasant...the man who oversaw things was...cruel in a fashion. I believe you might know him. I hear he had a brief stay in your lovely town a month or so before I moved here. His name was...Cade.¡± She felt it was perhaps time to drop the pretenses as she knew enough to know this man knew a little about the supernatural.

?

As she led him inside the Mystic Grille she glanced back at him with a reassuring smile. ¡°I give you my word that I mean no harm...I am what you would call a...¡¯neutral¡¯ party. I just wish to leave in peace and to that end I will answer all your questions.¡±

Matt followed Nyssa inside the mystic frill.? He sat at a booth.? He looked at her and said ¡°I had my suspicious that you weren¡¯t normel.? I seen a lot in my time.? Though you were pretty convincing.? I do know cade he caused a lot of trouble for me and my friends. So cade had you enslaved.? If you were a neutral party why not come clean to me in the beginning.? Why are you here aside from running from where you were from.¡±? He watched nyssa .? he wondered if he should let Rayna know about this knew development.? When the waitress came he ordered coffee to drink.

Nyssa settled into the booth looking across the table preparing herself for whatever questions might arise. It felt...odd...to be having her first ¡®´Ç±è±ð²Ô¡¯ conversation since she¡¯d been freed from what so many were quick to label ¡®³ó±ð±ô±ô¡¯. ¡°I was his prisoner, yes.¡± She placed both hands on the table as she somehow thought it best to keep them visible.?

?

¡°It¡¯s because I know enough about this town¡¯s history to be a little wary of admitting to being anything else and maybe I wanted you to know me first.¡± It had been several lifetimes at least since she¡¯d had friends and even then it was something altogether different.?

?

She took a moment to collect her thoughts. ¡°I¡¯ll start by telling you a little about myself. My father is Charon. He¡¯s THE ferryman as in the River Styx. Whereas he ferries souls to the underworld...my powers lie in resurrection and reincarnation. As for the reason I am here...it¡¯s because there are those who I have brought back to life who came here. I suppose I am curious as to what they will do with their second chances.¡±

Matt got in the booth across from her. He kept eye contact as he listened to her story. He could tell she was telling the truth. He said "you know several years back I would if probably laughed st your story. Back when only thing to worry about were freaked vampires and werewolves. Then thing just got crazier. If we didn't have to deal with sirens your story would of been hard to believe. I guess you could of sorts blame nt family for the gates opening." He studied her as he did think she was beautiful for being the ferryman daughter. If he wasnt with ratna who he loved things might of been different. He said " sounds like you had it kinda rough. Though the ferrymsns daughter wow! Sounds like a interesting power. Not to sound mean but not everyone deserves second chances. Perhaps you be cautious seeing the things I have"

He sighed and said " how many people have you brought back. If I may ask that is. I might need to prepare for the chaos coming to my town. I appreciate you being honest with me. It goes a long way."matt could see being her friend but he still had to be cautious.

¡°You might say that. Cade, as you call him, took a particular interest in tormenting the Ferryman¡¯s daughter.¡± Nyssa responded with a touch of bitterness as she looked back on her time with the self proclaimed ¡®¶Ù±ð±¹¾±±ô¡¯. She often wondered what measures her father might take once he learned the reason behind her disappearance all those years ago.?

?

She gave the patrons seated at nearby tables a cursory glance, however, her gaze lingered for a few seemingly long seconds on the redhead known as Lucy before going back to the sheriff. ¡°Perhaps. But there is often more to their stories than one knows.¡± In her mind she was already debating whether to reveal the return of the infamous Katherine Pierce who¡¯d managed to remain off everyone¡¯s radar.

?

She tilted her head considering his question of how many she¡¯d resurrected. ¡°At last count...less than a dozen. Most of which have no reason to wreak chaos even though one was killed for crimes that weren¡¯t her own...she¡¯d simply returned to this town to celebrate an old friend¡¯s birthday when his brother took it upon himself to set her up to take the fall for his actions. But there is one who might have reason to wish to see your town burned to the ground or once did.¡±

?

The Ferryman¡¯s daughter leaned forward with elbows lightly resting on the table¡¯s edge. ¡°You might say she engineered what happened the night your family... ¡®opened the gates¡¯ but her reasons were a deal she¡¯d struck with me to be given the chance at living again. Granted she might not have hated to see this charming little town go up in flames but that was not her endgame.¡±

?

She left him to put the pieces together of which she had little doubt that he would sooner or later as she sat across from him. Quietly wondering what game Katherine might be playing this time.?

Mayt sat listening to nyssa. She said " well I cant imagine the torment that bastard caused.? All I can compare it to is what he put me and my friends through"? he sighed thinking about the past. He then said " that's quite of bit of people.? I would like to know who they were.? I can understand you may think they may not cause harm but I need to be sure theres no danger to my town. I'm sure you can understand that."? He then listen as she spoke about one of the people.? Then another this one made matt skin crawl.? His fear was met when nessa meant katherine.? He said " where is she she cant be trusted.? She preys on people's needs to get her way.? She the reason stefan is dead.? Let alone what happen to this town.? Why would you trust someone like that."? Mayt needed to let rauna know of this development.
