Rebecca walked the streets of Mystic Falls thinking of Mihnea. She hoped she did the right thing. Though the one thing on top of her mind was the kiss.? How dare he kiss her like that and turn into mist . He left her standing ther looking stupid. She have to remember to give him a good beating for that, Him and those sexy eyes of his.
She decided to head back to see how her new friends were settling in. Plus she thought she remember offering to show franceskas brother Felix to a decent hotel.?
She turned a corner heading to her safe house. When she eventually arrived. She knocked....

"I'm fine,"Franceska grumbled.

She addressed her brother who had hurried to hover over her shoulder when she opened the door to Rebecca's knock.

"Well after a vamp nearly tore your throat out, you can't just go casually opening doors without knowing who's out there," Felix grumbled, then smiled at Rebecca as Franceska stepped back to allow her to enter.

"She thinks she's bloody invincible," he grumbled.

"I won against Vlad, didn't I,"Franceska shot back.
"And so do you."

"What?"

"Think you're invincible."

"Well," Renfield cut in brightly to Rebecca.

"We got things put away rather quickly and even nearly have the lab set up."

Rebecca listened to the siblings arguing.??She said ¡°im sure your sister can take care of herself.??She is very smart and resourceful. Well at least what I seen anyway.??Though I assure you that this house is a safe house. plus a random vampire wouldn¡¯t just come to random house and knock and say hi can I have you for dinner.??Plus most vampire enjoy the thrill of the hunt trust me. also no one is invincible . many may think them so but there is always a weakness.¡±??she came inside smiling at the two. She notice they had done a lot since she had left.??

She looked to renfield and said ¡°I noticed . im impressed you all got so much done in a short time. Is there anything I can help with.¡±Rebecca was itching to get started. Part of her still holding out hope one day she could have a family and everything she dreamed of having.

Felix merely shrugged and rolled his eyes, inconvenienced. His sister was smart sure but until she mastered dreams, which she was currently unwilling to do, she was still a target to a degree in his eyes.

"Considering we're here because she already had a vamp run in I'll not be too careful," he concluded his thoughts aloud.

"Never know if the one she nearly got eaten by has friends," he quipped, only half joking.

"I can at least begin the process with you,"Franceska told Rebecca.
"I'll take a tiny blood sample and a dna tissue one as well if that's alright. Don't worry no one else will ever get it. And if you can be photoed I can do a quick MRI, certainly can't hurt and I've never been able to get it to?work on?our other vampire connections. It's rather interesting discovering new breeds," she said, the words a huge concession as normally vampires weren't, to her in the least interesting.

Rebecca was nice, though and the project set before Franceska was an interesting one if a little unlikely. She did love a challenge, though.

"It's either going to be blood transfusions or me making an elixir for you, I"m guessing. The later seems more likely as if the former could've worked someone would've done it by now. The elixir will serve to quicken your organs including the reproductive ones...If it works. Only I'm just not sure what else it would do to your current state," she added, sounding mildly doubtful with that admission.

Her nearly white blue eyes did glitter animatedly at the idea of the challenge, though. Her slender hands rubbed at the flowing fabric of her long black skirt eagerly as she spoke of the options and possibilities. Renfield, at her side and slightly behind wore a serious thoughtfully expression as he listened intently and considered. Felix, for his part, began to look bored.

Rebecca listened to felix and laughed and ran a finger along his chest as she walked around him.??She smirked teasingly as she said ¡°if your that worried about his friends I promise I want bite.¡±??She playfully acted like she would bite his neck.??She said more serious ¡°well im sorta his friend. One that doesn¡¯t mind giving him a good thrashing when needed. Regardless your sister was already on her way her.??not her fault she ran into one of damons fullish tricks. Minor mistake but he cant enter here anyway without a invite from the living lease owner witch only I know.¡± She turned her attention back to franceska

Rebecca listened to what franceska needed.??She nodded and said ¡°I trust you. So do what ever you need to do. Whatever changes that might happen.??We will deal with it.??I know you will take care of me no matter what???so take what ever you need and do what ever test you need.??MRIs are fine or any other picture needed.¡± She could tell franceska was just as eager to do this as she was.??it was a good idea she didn¡¯t let her siblings in on what she was doing.??Otherwise they would probably forbid her taking such a chance with friends she just met.

"No it's not her fault. He started shit from what I understand, but it doesn't have to be her fault for her to need looking after,"Felix said.

"I'm sure your brothers would feel the sane," he added with a knowing grin.

When Rebecca pretended to bite him, it was Renfield who started and moved forward, nearly as if to protect Felix.
He had seen plenty of vampiric existence not to trust it among mortals. Felix needed a little protection at times too even if he disagreed. The man may be annoying and provoking, not allowing them to work half the time, but Renfield still considered him a friend and brother in spite of it all. He was family, and he'd do the same for him.

Franceska nodded to Rebecca.

:Lets take it one step at a time. I'd prefer not to put you at risk. We'll take it slow and careful. I'd say we could test other vampires before we do anything to you, but it may not matter as your family line is a bit different."

She frowned thoughtfully as she moved to collect the items she needed to take dna swabs and a small blood sample. She quietly described what she'd do before she did either and was quick and efficient.

"That's all I need for now. We'll study that for a minute."

Rebecca listened and said ¡°you have to know my brothers to truly understand there twisted ways of protection. Though I can understand where your coming from.??You know its kinda cute when your protective.¡± She smiled as she looked at renfield as if apologizing for her little jjoke about biting felix.

Rebecca looked to franceska as she spoke.??She nodded and said ¡°do what ever you need.??Its not like your gonna kill me.¡±??she allowed franceska do her work. she said ¡°well I do hope it doesn¡¯t take to long.??I do hating to wait to long.¡±

"It'll just take a few minutes,"Franceska told Rebecca as she took a a sample of DNA and blood. She paused to send a text to Vlad as an after thought, telling him what she was doing, mostly due to being curious as to his reaction. Not that she was asking, but if he felt it unwise she'd at least hear him out.

He replied without replying to what she said, indicating he probably hadn't even read it. She frowned in annoyance then nearly dropped the phone.

"Shit," she breathed.

"What is it," Renfield asked, hurrying over to her side, expression mildly alarmed.

Felix also arched a brow, but didn't move from the arm chair in which he was now slumped.

"You know how he sent us here to check out the dead people returning thing?"

Franceska glanced toward Rebecca then back to Renfield.

"Well now there is this chick claiming to be his dead sister...only not here in this town. He's checking it out."

"I didn't know he had a sister," Felix said.

"That's because she's dead, dumb ass,"Franceska snapped.

Franceska typed a reply telling Vlad to ask if the girl happened to have risen in this town if she turned out to be his sister.

"You're all done," she told Rebecca.

"I'll have to analyze this and I'll start tomorrow and of course share all results with you."

She glanced around.

"Not that I'm like throwing you out or anything. Feel free to hang out if you like. This town doesn't look like it has much going on in the evening for night life," she complained.

She sighed and said ¡°its okay I shouldn¡¯t intrude any further after all you two are still getting settled. After all I did promise to show your brother to a decent motel. As for a night life you ust got to know where to look.??The high schoolers and college near by is always throwing some party or rave. Its nice to know when you need to feed for a vampire to know the best places to hunt.??Though a smart vampire knows how to feed and not kill.¡± She looked over to felix.??She didn¡¯t know what it was but the man was different.??She could sense it.

Felix's eyes brightened with interest at the idea of a party or rave.

Renfield had an entirely opposite reaction, making a face, closing his eyes briefly and shuddering.

"Sounds simply dreadful. This country has many good things, but high class parties do not appear to ever be Ann American objective," he murmured.

Franceska smiled slightly. She had partied in her day but she didn't disagree? with Renfield. She'd simply had nothing better to do when not in the lab but? now she had him.

"Yeah I came to protect her anyway," Felix said with a shrug.

"Well it'll just be a sista mystery until? he texts again I suppose," she said, shrugging and putting the phone away.

"Is there anything else we need to know bout this place," she asked, and at that question Renfield likewise perked up with interest.

Rebecca listened and said " well I'm sure there will be time fore more elegant parties. The teens and young adults tend to let loss more often."? She saw Felix seemed interested in knowing about the partying.
Rebecca shrugged and said " suit yourself if it be me with my husband. I wouldn't want my pesky brothers around if there were other options." She smirked slightly. She then sighed as Felix got back on the subject of protecting her.
She rolled her eyes slightly.? She said " I assure you they are same from vampires in this house. They wouldnt be able to enter without permission. If they needed a quick escape there's a tunnel under the house. Entrance is hidden so yeah."??
She smiled and said " very well I suppose I can stay for a bit. I don't have much else to do."

Franceska didn't care if Felix went out but Renfield scowled at the taller man until Felix merely heaved a sigh and shrugged.

"Probably not a ton of good parties in this little town anyway," he said glumly.

"Have you ever tried a blood transfusion that lasted for several days straight," she asked musingly.

Rebecca thought felix looked kinda cute when he pouted.??She listened and put some thought into franceskas words.??She wasn¡¯t sure she could even become human any more.??The only way she knew was to transfer her essence into another body.??then there was the sire link.??If she somehoe became human what would happen to her sire line.??They knew if she or any of her siblings except Klaus was to die then their sire line would die.???So that weighed on her mind.??

She said ¡°lets try the transfusions. What we are attempting hasn¡¯t been done. Except one other time and it was by magical means to another vampire. Its complicated by what I understand. If it cant be done without me becoming human then we will have to find a way for that to happen. That would be a last resort.??I guess call me your lab monkey.¡±

"Thing is reversing this is going to be hard,"Franceska said, referring to vampirism.

The young woman sat slumped over the table on which her notes were spread.

"It was done with blood but then again the cellular structure was changed so much I don't know that replacing the blood could work. Likely not but perhaps enough just directed into your reproductive organs could serve to get you pregnant. Are we doing artificial insemination where you can look at all the decent sperm donors online? You can see if they're hot or brilliant so you know what your child will be."

Renfield stared in awe. As they had never had a need to speak of this, he hadn't been aware. Just one more thing modern science had accomplished. The master did get scientific journals in the mail but there was only so much time to read and he had gotten a bit behind admittedly...embarrassingly so.

Rebecca listen to franceska as she spoke.??She was quiet as she listened to the conversation though her mind had drifted alittle.??She never put any thought on who would be the father.??She had a thought on who but after everything her family put Marcel through.??She had dreamed of him being close starting a family with a lovely home. Though he had been the reason they had been put to sleep for five years. Had he forgiven her brother or even her.??would he pick up if she called.

She was troubled with these thoughts of her former love.??She was half tempted to call.??She didn¡¯t want to run from this chance.??She pulled out her phone for a second and pulled up marcels number.??Was she really gonna do this.??Would he try stopping her from even trying to attempt this even if he didn¡¯t want this. She had to try so she sent a text to marcel //call me we need to talk. Or lets meet somewhere //??she knew deep down marcel wouldn¡¯t hurt her. she looked up as the conversation pointed back at her.

She said ¡°huh oh ugh¡. Honestly I never thought that far.??There is one person I had dreamed of starting a family with but things are alittle complicated. So I guess we can look and weigh my options. So tell me what we do now¡± She then looked at felix. She said ¡°one im not a machine that will help you take advantage of women. Two that¡¯s just weak if you cant get girls on your own and three that¡¯s just a piggish thing to even ask. Lucky I don¡¯t compel you to just sleep with random guys so you know how it feels.¡±

"I get that you and Vlad are 2 different types of vampires so like can you take pictures? If so I'd love to get an MRI of you. If any of your eggs are still preserved, like in limbo I could try some interesting things...very interesting," she murmured half to herself.

"Oh it's no myth. Mihnea, the vampire who was here earlier, he can't cast a reflection," Franceska told Rebecca.
"They don't die at the bite of a waerewolf either so it is like a trade off I guess.Just different breeds, which is fascinating in itself as we just discovered that fact."

"Yeah, Vlad has this youtube unboxing channel I set up for him and no shit he won't show up on film. He has tons of viewers cause when he unpacks stuff it just looks like it's floating around in the air. People eat that shit up," Felix said with a chuckle.

Franceska nodded her agreement and made a face. She had sent Vlad a box as a joke once and he'd suddenly gotten all into it probably just to make her shop for things and it was stupid. His last box had been all antique swords and one new one which he'd hated as she'd expected he would. It was amusing to hear him bitching about it on youtube, though, the lack of craftsmanship and understanding these days of what made a good sword.

"I am thinking of ways to animate an egg if yours are at all preferred in any decent form," she answered Rebecca, glad to get her mind off of stupid matters and back onto something at least mildly interesting that may present a little challenge.

"I have the MRI machine here if you've like an hour to spare we can do it now," Franceska told Rebecca.
"I may as well do a full body scan and get some real study in if we're going to do this."

Renfield wore a thoughtful interested look but remained silent.
