Hayley was still dealing with a lingering sense of shock over how well the conversation about becoming a hybrid had gone as she'd expected there to be a great deal more argument than was offered but she would take whatever win she could get with her daughter's safety on the line. While things hadn't ended with an immediate ¡®yes¡¯ at least Samantha was considering it.
?
She came back downstairs after checking on Hope to wait for their new houseguest to finish freshening up. It seemed like the least she could do after the woman had spent so much time chained up in a barn like some kind of animal. It was something she would fight like hell to keep from happening again.
?
Pausing in the middle of the living room she could focused her senses in order to listen for any sign of either one of the Mikaelsons who might cause trouble about the relocation of the last living Malraux. When neither seemed to be around at the moment she continued into the kitchen where she set about gathering the necessary items for making sandwiches figuring Samantha must be hungry.

Samantha got dressed following a nice warm shower, something which had taken a little longer than expected due to her weakened state but she'd managed. It certainly helped her to start feeling better though the effects of wolfsbane were still a bit stronger than she'd like but lessening as time went on without another injection.
?
She kept her pace slow and steady as she left the bathroom headed toward the stairs at the end of the hall. Pausing each time she neared a doorway half expecting either witch or vampire to jump her, something that would no doubt be followed by the pinprick of a needle then the burning sensation of wolfsbane entering her system once more.
?
It was shocking to think she was even willing to consider becoming a hybrid and maybe she would have dismissed it instantly were it not for certain aspects being thought to be appealing. If her parents were alive what path would she choose? She supposed it didn't what the answer to that question might be since they were killed five years ago along with their pack.
?
Fortunately, no one blocked her way as she made it to the end of the hall and started down the stairs. If not for the promise of a meal she would have retreated to the bedroom Hayley had prepared to get some sleep as rest was something she hoped would speed up her recovery time.
?
Moments later she entered the kitchen making typical small talk with the other woman to avoid discussing the loss of her family and their pack. Though the question of whether Klaus Mikaelson had indeed killed the vampire responsible did keep popping up in the back of her mind.?
