Locked New Mikaelson Compound (Klaus/Hayley)

Klaus stood in the balcony of what was used to be the Mikaelson compound in the middle of New Orleans. His home was falling apart.??He suppose it was his own fault. He had come to terms with that. for five years he suffered for his family for his daughter.??It was probably the hardest thing hes ever done. He had missed so much crucial parts of his daughters life he could never get back.??

?

?

?

The more he dwelled on those thoughts the angrier he got.??He had to calm himself.??his daughter needed him now more so than ever.??He fully intended to keep his promise to his daughter to keep her safe.??the devil himself couldn¡¯t stop him. He just wished he knew what this magical force was that was trying to harm his daughter.

?

?

?

It didn¡¯t help matter that Rebecca and kol were gone.??That was 2 less Mikaelson down.??He wouldn¡¯t voice it aloud but he already missed Rebecca and even Kol to a point.??He didn¡¯t know what freya was up to.??He suspected he find out soon enough and then there was Elijah.??He made Klaus somewhat happy to see his brothers smile, even though it was towards the mother of his child. Klaus knew Elijah and Haileys feelings and he wouldn¡¯t interfere.??Yet another sacrifice he would make.

?

?

?

Then there was Marcellus.??He could still feel the anger radiating from Marcel.??He couldn¡¯t take back what happened.??He wasn¡¯t even sure Marcel could even forgive him ever.??Perhaps he would have to live with that. Marcel would always be his son to him.

?

?

?

Klaus looked up to the sky.??His thoughts of everyone else made his mind drift to Camille. If it hadn¡¯t been for her in his subconscious he probably would have gone insane.??She had been his strength.??He was going to try and hold up his promise to her. he was trying to change for her to be a better person.??it was so hard without her.

?

?

?

Klaus??shook his head free from his thoughts.??He had to focus.??He turned and left the balcony to check on his daughter. Perhaps it was time to take her back home.??At least there they could make a better game plan.

?

?

?

Hours later¡..

?

?

?

Klaus was relieved to be back to the secluded house. Though it did make him uncomfortable that Hailey had picked one near mystic falls.???He had just put his daughter in bed to rest.??He could hear the other moving about.??he ignored it as he stood on the porch.??Something was bugging him.??He didn¡¯t know why.??He just felt on edge.??Perhaps it was everything going or just recovering from being tormented. He sipped his drink watching the surroundings.

Hayley walked around the corner coming from the direction of the barn practically fuming. If she had thought for even a split second getting Klaus involved would do any good the brunette would be taking the matter up with him. However, she got the distinct feeling he was far more to side with Freya about keeping the poor werewolf chained up out there in spite of the fact a deal had already been made to secure her help with saving their asses.
?
She was already beginning to consider keeping her word and releasing the woman first chance she got. It was far easier to focus on that problem as it was something she had the power to stop unlike the mysterious force or whatever it happened to be that was coming for her daughter. Quietly coming up the porch steps knowing her face was easily readable in that moment.?
?
One of these days she needed to breakdown and pay some old friends a visit even if the suggestion angered a certain Mikaelson. Honestly, she didn't give a damn whether it did or not. If there was even the smallest chances a certain other badass witch could be persuaded to help with protecting Hope then she was damn sure going to pay Bonnie a visit. It was a big part of why she chose a house so close to Mystic Falls.?
?
Saying nothing she headed towards the empty wicker chair taking a seat while trying to clear her head with zero success. Staring head then looking to Klaus before staring off into the yard again, something she repeated a few times without saying a word even though she was sorely tempted to bring up one or both things on her mind.?

Klaus sighed as he could smell the familiar sweet scent of Hailey walking up and sitting behind him.???He could feel her looking at him.??He turned and sipping his drink looking back at her.??he leaned against the railing staring back for a few moments before saying. ¡°I seen that look before. What is on your mind.??Perhaps its my dear oh brother Elijah.??I suppose it could be about our werewolf friend in the barn. Perhaps its about or daughter in bed fighting with whatever is coming after her.¡±?
?
?
?
Klaus began to pace when he got to subject about his daughter.??Here he was telling her he would protect her and yet there was nothing he could do at this time.??He just wanted one problem free day with his daughter. He missed so much. He was still beating himself up about it.??though he would do it again if it meant protecting her and his family.

Hayley sighed deciding to bite the proverbial bullet rather than keeping quiet about what all was bothering her. A conversation she would happily have with his brother once he returned from wherever it was he'd gone. "We had a deal. If she helped me save this family I would let her go. I gave her my word. But your sister refuses to honor that deal." ?
?
She leaned forward in the wicker chair still regarding him as she did. "Shouldn't we be working on making allies who could us protect Hope instead of making enemies out of even more people?" His family had more than enough of the latter and she made a few herself ?during her efforts over the past five years to save the Mikaelsons.?
?
"With what's coming for our daughter....I feel helpless...like all I can do is sit on my hands until it gets here and hope it's something that I can fight because that little girl means everything to me." Another sigh passed her lips as she thought about whether to bring up her plans of reaching out to old friends.?
?
Bracing herself for the argument one or both subjects was liable to spark as she went on. "I chose this place because of the distance from Marcel and...I want to reach out to Bonnie Bennett for help keeping our daughter safe. Look, I know that Freya's this badass witch but getting a second one on our side increases our odds."

Klaus listened to Haley as she spoke about the werewolf. Klaus tried to keep his cool.??He said ¡°I will speak with freya though you can blame her.??she barely had enough venom to cure Elijah and kol.??She the last of her kind.??If marcel bite one of us and we don¡¯t have her venom.??All of this will be for nothing. A deal is a deal though. So if you feel so strongly about setting her free do as you wish.¡±
?
?
?
Klaus turned his back to haley as the subject of their daughter came up. The cup in his hand shattering in his hand. He said ¡°and you dont think she doesn¡¯t mean anything to me.??I feel just as helpless.??I missed so much. I told her I would protect her.¡±??Klaus wasn¡¯t angry at haley but more so at himself.??perhaps he was a curse on his family.
?
?
?
Klaus closed his eyes as he brushed off the rubble of the coffee cut he shattered. He said ¡°do you really think bonnie can help with Hope.??Freya is a lot older and has seen darker magics. Though I will do anything to help our little girl at any cost.¡±

"Not saying that I blame her." Hayley tried to think how best to explain without starting 'World War III' something she was far from being in the mood to deal with at present. "I am not about to risk our daughter losing her family again." She had an approach in mind that if successful would give everyone what they wanted. "So, trust me....I do have a plan beyond unlocking those chains."
?
One eyebrow lifted at the faint sound of his cup shattering. "It's not a question of that." Leaning forward to rest her elbows on her knees still watching him as they talked. "It's just...I think for a change we need to focus on gaining allies because I'm scared that on our own we might not be able to keep her safe since so far we don't even know how to fight this thing."
?
She was a bit surprised when her mention of the Bennett witch hadn't been met with shouting or threats. "I think it couldn't hurt to have her on our side." She waited a beat before adding. "You know, some extra muscle so to speak."

Klaus listened to hailey. He closed his eyes to try and calm his nerves. So much was going on at once.??He had just wanted to spend time with his little girl and he couldn¡¯t even get that for one damn day.??He rubbed the bridge f his nose??as if trying to prevent a migraine.??
?
?
?
He said ¡°then what is this plan of yours with our werewolf friend.¡±??Klaus may of not shown it much but he did care for Hailey and trusted her like she was family.??He would hear her out as she did have a lot of points they did need allies. He punched the railing and turned. He said ¡°I will Keep my promise. I will keep her safe. even if I have to go to the depth of hell to find what ever is hurting our daughter and I will rip its throat out. I will make it suffer beyond reason.¡±
?
?
?
He began pacing again.??he said ¡°what even make s you think Bonnie bennet would even help us.¡± He tried to hide his worry behind his anger.??Though he tried to be the ma Camille wanted him to be but right now it was so hard.

"It involves some friendly conversation aimed at giving her a few things to think about. Since it pretty much goes without saying that being the last surviving member of her pack makes her a target for anyone looking to take down the Mikaelsons. So, it might be in her best interest to stick around...to help us." Hayley doubted this particular plan would get the 'Klaus Mikaelson' stamp of approval. But she wasn't wrong about this woman...she was smart with a strong survival instinct.?
?
"When she makes that call we set her up in a spare room and keep an eye on her." It was a course of action which would keep the werewolf near in the event her venom was needed and allowed her to keep her word. "Also gives us a chance to make an ally which could come in handy down the road." She couldn't say whether it was all her time spent around this family or leading the pack with Jackson but whatever the reason more thought was put into every decision. Perhaps it had far more to do with her daughter.?
?
"I know." That was one thing she never questioned...his desire to protect their daughter at all costs. Her eyes followed his movements. "Because no matter how she feels about this family...Bonnie never struck me as the type to turn her back on an innocent child who's in danger. That's why I think she'd help us."

Klaus listened while he paced.??He stopped and looked at Hayley.??He said ¡°from what I heard she didn¡¯t want anything to do with helping us in the beginning.??So what makes you think she will change her mind now? I know her type.??She will agree to anything but the second she has a chance she will run.??I could compel her to stay but again that defeats our purpose. I have no doubt in your plan Hayley but tell me this in her shoes would you stay. Someone who doesn¡¯t want to be involved. Would you stay?¡±
?
?
?
Klaus wanted to find a middle ground for Hayley.??He just wasn¡¯t sure the werewolf woman would stay put. He couldn¡¯t entrust the safety of his daughter to stranger that he was sure would leave.??After all everyone one tends to leave.
?
?
?
Klaus sighed and said ¡°very well make the call.??I will go talk to bonnie. I will do it for Hope. Plus I need to go pay my respects.¡±??He sighed thinking of Stefan.??He was his best friend and yet another one that was close to him that died.

"Because on her own she doesn't stand a chance against this family's enemies and once she's given that some thought...." Hayley knew that anyone who didn't have a death wish would see there was only one choice to be made...standing with the Mikaelsons. Tipping her head to one side while her eyes followed him. "Given the choices..." Thinking back to life before her daughter...the way she used to be. "Yeah, I would. Even if I didn't want to be...I would realize that I was already involved."
?
It was a relief when he'd agreed to getting Bonnie involved with keeping their daughter safe. Though she was surprised when he wanted to be the one to talk to her about it. "Okay. I'll make the call." She reached into her back pocket for cellphone then after a brief look in his direction then dialing the number she had gotten from Tyler a few years ago.?
?
She nervously waited for the witch to pick up while figuring out what she would say in the event her call went straight to voicemail. Surprisingly it hadn't. "Hey...Bonnie. It's Hayley." It took a little time to remind her who she was (not totally surprising as they hadn't had a great deal to do with each other during her previous stay in this town) but it was worth it because things went more smoothly afterwards.?
?
A part of her had been afraid the mention of the name Klaus would cause her to hang up with their history. So she had been quick to add it was about their daughter when the conversation ended she hung up the phone. "She says she'll talk to you. That you can find her at the Salvatore Boarding House which apparently has become a school for kids like Hope."

Klaus listened with a sigh and said ¡°it is very true she wouldn¡¯t survive long with out our help.??Though I feel shes a fighter just like you are.¡±??He sighed defeated and said ¡°very well. If and by some miracle you can convince her to stay. She can be set free and moved into the house. shes your responsibility.¡± Klaus hoped Hayley was right about this woman not leaving.??Their family couldn¡¯t take another fight with marcel without her venom.??Let alone he didn¡¯t want to fight with marcel any longer. He couldn¡¯t even bare the thought of losing another close to him.
?
?
?
Klaus saw hayleys surprise on the fact he wanted to be the one to talk to bonnie about hope.??He knew if anyone had to talk to her it had to be him.??He do what it take for hope.??He was surprised that bonnie had turned the Salvatore home into a boarding school. He nodded and said ¡°I bet she wasn¡¯t to thrilled about me coming.¡± He wondered about the school.??Thiough he would love to give hope some of the knowledge he had gain through the years to her.??it was probably wise to send her there when she was better.??he make sure she got a proper education.

Hayley expected to be told the plan wasn't worth the risk with everything at stake. If she were being totally honest this had just as much to do with her loyalty to werewolves as it did a desperate need to protect her daughter. "I won't let Hope lose her family." She was firm on that matter as anything less felt like breaking a promise made five years ago to the most important person in her life.
?
"No. She wasn't." It was to be expected after everything that happened though there was a surprise twist in this already complicated situation. "In fact, I think we owe Elena one. I heard their conversation in the background and pretty sure she's the reason Bonnie is hearing you out."
?
If the call had been more social in nature certain questions would have been asked considering last she heard Elena was under some kind of 'sleeping curse'. ?For the time being she decided to go back to the subject of the school. "Said they were working on getting some teachers so the kids could have environment to learn in where they would be safe and learn to control their powers."

Klaus listened to Hayley as she spoke. He said ¡°I know you want.??Plus hope could learn from having another wolf around. Im following your lead on this. When I get back from the school I expect things to be fine.¡±??He sighed and focused on??the school.
?
?
?
?He said ¡°¡±I figured as much.??Ill try to be on my best behavior.¡± He laughed slightly and raised a eye brow. He then said calmly ¡°elenas back that¡¯s strange.??Though might prove useful if we need more hybrids . though I will thank her for her assistance if she helped convince bonnie to see me.??perhaps I can assist with the school. After all hope will need good teachers.¡±

"Maybe when all this is over there will be some long overdue downtime." Hayley knew how frustrating it had to be for him to finally be reunited with their daughter after missing out on the last five years and have their time cut short by yet another enemy. "I know how badly you wanted to be able to spend some time with Hope." ?
?
With any luck things would work out as she hoped instead of going sideways. Last thing this family needed was more problems things were bad enough. "Should I be worried?" She asked with one eyebrow raised then sighing responded. "I guess that Bonnie found a loophole in that whole 'sleeping beauty' curse thing."
?
She tipped her head to the side when the possibility of creating more hybrids was mentioned. "What do you have in mind?" Hopefully not a repeat of past choices otherwise gaining new allies might be a bit impossible to do. Nodding once when he talked about helping out at the school. "Maybe you could."

Klaus listened to Hayley sighing as she spoke.??He knew Hayley probably could guess how hard it was truly for him to have his time cut short from Hope. He had so much he wanted to tell her and show her.??when he found whatever was the cause of this to his daughter. They would pay and no one would stop him.
?
?
?
Klaus said ¡°don¡¯t worry yourself.??Ill just be my normal charming self.¡±??He smirked as they got on topic of him visiting bonnie at the school.??He said ¡°don¡¯t worry I will ask for her blood instead of trying to take it in the past. I have no plans for more hybreds but it might prove handy in the future. Unless you got some thoughts on the matter. Perhaps turning our werewolf friend might prove useful to helpo protect hope. ¡°??he sighed manly thinking out loud to himself.

"That's what I'm afraid of." Hayley knew how quickly threats of violence were made use of when those close to him were in danger. It wasn't as if she wouldn't resort to drastic measures to protect her little girl but in some cases one had to tread lightly. "Probably a good thing." She said of his not intending to repeat past mistakes.?
?
"If you create more hybrids just...make sure they have a choice." She didn't want to see any werewolves turned against their will as most despised vampires with good reason. "And if Elena's okay with giving some of her blood." It wasn't difficult to see the merit of having others around to help protect their daughter even if she wasn't entirely on board with the idea as of yet.?
?
"If she decides to stay...to help us...then if she accepts the offer of being turned that's between you and her." She wouldn't object if that was the case.?

(ooc: kind of tempted to replace Keelin with an OC when the time comes since I don't think we've used a name for the werewolf yet.)

Klaus smirked at hayleys concern.??Though her concern were not wrong.??Even if Klaus was trying to change. if it came to his family being harm especially his daughter or watching the world burn.??He would easily watch the world burn while protecting his family. He knew Hayley was trying to prevent that from happening.??He wanted to show he meant to keep his promise to Camiel.??He just wasn¡¯t sure he was strong enough to.
?
?
?
Klaus said ¡°all I can say I will try to not cause more issues. That includes the whole hybrid thing./ as for our werewolf friend she¡¯s your responsibility so I will let you offer the hybrid turn choice. Your probably the best one to talk about it with anyway.¡±??He looked to the sky and said ¡°I better go before it gets to late. after all I wouldn¡¯t want to give them another reason to dispise me after all.¡±
?
sure if that is what you want to do I see no issue with it)

Hayley raised an eyebrow when she caught that smirk. His expression often a cause for concern when one took into account how rarely he handled matters without violence. She sighed, knowing this to be one of those subjects that could lead to an all night argument if it continued. But neither one wanted to risk anything happening to their daughter so she supposed she'd have to trust he wouldn't do anything to jeopardize her safety.?
?
"Fewer issues the better." It seemed there had been no further incidents involving the Hollow since their departure from New Orleans and as much as she wanted to believe they were beyond its reach she knew it was only a matter of time. "If she doesn't want to turn...I won't force her." Of course, that went without saying, but...she felt it needed to be said all the same.?
?
"Yeah...we can't have that." The brunette said of them being given another reason for despising him. Even if she hadn't liked them there was still the matter of needing their help to keep her daughter safe.

(ooc: figure with her being one of those characters liable to never have a player and thinking of more possibilities with an OC. I get random ideas.)

Klaus stepped off the porch. As he walked away he said ¡°like I said shes your responsibility so its your call. Hopefully I will return with reinforcements. Hopefully I want be turned into a toad.¡± He laughed slightly joking.??Though klaus was unaware of what was in store for him when he would get there. He just hoped as he traveled that things would go smoothly.
?
?
?
(Well that¡¯s not a bad idea.??Always feel free to share your thoughts and ideas with me.??im always up to playing a new character if need be.??I also try to always come up with random ideas)

Hayley already felt responsible for their ¡®guest¡¯ considering she'd been the one to track her down with little thought to the fact it might well be placing her in the crosshairs of anyone seeking to put the Mikaelsons down once and for all. ¡°Maybe if we're lucky she will at least be willing to hear me out.¡± If not she couldn't entirely blame her. So far not a single thing about her stay with them had been pleasant, in fact, it was quite the opposite.
?
She cracked a smile at his joke though looking somewhat preoccupied. Her mind kept returning to something said by the werewolf when they first met. Did everyone think that? Because her actions and choices over the past five years were about getting Hope¡¯s family back. It had nothing to do with choosing vampires over werewolves.?
?
¡°I don't imagine being a toad would be all that much fun.¡± Her eyes already looking toward the barn where her next conversation would be taking place. She would just have to level with her and hope it was enough reason to overlook certain things. Stepping down off the porch she began walking towards it.?
