¡°Have some personal experience with that sort of thing, so, I get what you¡¯re saying.¡± Jenica had made a great many decisions based on not being able to see another way of doing what she¡¯d set out to accomplish. Her crossroads deal having been a prime example of this. But when all was said and done the former princess was someone who would do whatever it took. ¡°He¡¯s always had a knack for finding all of the right?¡®pressure points¡¯?for getting a person to do precisely what he wants them to do. For me, it¡¯s always been about my brother.¡±
?
Brown eyes studied the building a moment when it was announced their destination had been reached, sending one last look back over her shoulder before following the young woman inside. The action one that had become force of habit long ago. Her attention momentarily drifting from one sister to another once inside. ¡°Makes for an interesting?¡®base of operations¡¯.¡±
?
?
?
?
Abby looked up from the pages she¡¯d been reading when the others arrived. ¡°Hey.¡± Her gaze falling on the brunette who seemed quiet before moving to her sister. ¡°I think that I might have found something in Corbin¡¯s journal that could turn out to be your mystery item.¡± Lowering her eyes to its pages once more. ¡°He wrote something about a weapon forged centuries ago. It was supposedly the product of the team effort of an archangel, a demon, and a shaman.¡±
?
?
?
?
¡°I shudder to think of what could cause those guys to work together to forge a weapon.¡± Jenica considered that to be a major point of concern as two out of the three only worked together in particularly dire situations as they were natural born enemies. ¡°As a general rule two thirds of that combo don¡¯t play well together.¡±
|
Jenny nodded. She'd do anything for her sister too. Family was like that and she understood such well. When they went inside she grinned cheerfully at her sister, returning her greeting.
?
"Hey..."
?
She was going to teasingly introduce Dracula's sister, but was quite completely distracted by her sister's revelation. Striding to look over her shoulder, in case there was anything to see, Jinny's eyes gleamed with eager interest and her face was alight with it.
?
She had the same thought as the brunette about an angel and demon working together...the shaman...well he could probably play for either side, weren't there light and dark shamans, so maybe not so weird to buddy up with one or the other but...She shuddered, nodding in agreement.
?
"For real! What could be bad enough to make those work together?...what is worse than a demon."
?
The words came out decisively rather than as a question and she nodded to herself.
?
"That's what we've got to look for. Because for a demon to work with an angel against something and bring in a 3rd party for extra back up it's got to be some bad mojo!"
?
Her hand strayed idly to her phone, harbinger of the email informing her of said item.
?
?
And more personally pressing at the moment, who would know to tell me about it...and is it a real lead or a trap?"
?
Her tone was worried now, matching the concern growing on her face because she was very tempted to go after such a thing. IT was likely to keep them safe from most things. Her and Abby too, and that went back to family didn't it? And doing anything for them.

¡°Corbin had a theory that this weapon was designed with two primary purposes in mind. One being killing the first demon and secondly to be used against the four horsemen. So, anyone going after that kind of thing would likely be facing?Indiana Jones¡¯s Temple of Doom?times a thousand.¡± Abby held the journal a bit more to the side allowing her sister a better view of the page in question.
?
?
?
¡°The Four Horsemen¡as in?¡®´Ç´Ú?THE?´¡±è´Ç³¦²¹±ô²â±è²õ±ð¡¯?¡± Jenica shook her head once not liking where this was going in the slightest.
?
?
?
¡°The very same.¡± Abby responded.
?
?
?
¡°Why would anyone be attempting to steer you towards that kind of weapon? Unless, someone with an inside track and everything to lose had reason to believe that one of the heavy hitters was close to summoning the horsemen.¡± Jenica couldn¡¯t see any other possible reason for anyone to have a vested interested in someone finding that particular weapon. But boy did she ever wish there was.
?
?
?
¡°So you think we¡¯re talking a possible?¡®end of days¡¯?scenario?¡± Abby asked while looking to the brunette upon getting a nod in response the detective sighed heavily. ¡°Great.¡±
?
?
?
?
?
(ooc: If you have any ideas as far as the weapon goes feel free to use them. I have nothing specifically set yet for it.)
|
"So...It's just difficult to believe that one weapon could truly stop the end of days," Jenny said after a moment.
?
She sighed and shook her head, expression suddenly bemused.
?
"This is all a little too much for one day. Dracula's sister plus the end of days...and a weapon that can potentially stop it?"
?
She couldn't help but feel incredulous though she knew it could very likely be her brain responding to shock with a need for normality.
?
?
"If someone wants this thing to happen bad enough I just can't see how one thing, one single thing, can stop it. And killing the first demon? What's it like? Kill the first demon and all its spawn die as a result? Kill one demon and you've killed them all?"
?
She felt like she was babbling so shut her mouth with a snap, while feeling a fieldtrip was coming on somewhere in the pit of her stomach.
?

¡°Hardly.¡± Jenica responded not being one to sugarcoat things. ¡°But this weapon could give us a fighting chance.¡± Something that was important when faced with the?¡®End of Days¡¯?but even with that in mind the former princess turned hunter would not be offering up any rousing?¡®we can do this¡¯?speeches any time soon.
?
?
¡°So, we got to find this thing.¡± Abby gave the appearance of being much more comfortable with all of this than she really was. Maybe it was all of the time spent going through Corbin¡¯s research or listening to the countless tapes he¡¯d made when writing things down might not have been possible at that given moment. But there was something about all of this that left her feeling as though she?had?to be a part of it.
?
?
¡°That we do. But if this weapon is indeed capable of putting Eve herself down and she catches wind of the fact you¡¯re looking for it¡¡± Jenica knew what the bitch was capable of when provoked and this definitely fell under?¡®poking the bear¡¯. Brown eyes flicking over to the other sister who was obviously having a much harder time processing everything.
?
?
¡°Are talking?¡®Adam and Eve¡¯?Eve?¡± Abby questioned.
?
?
¡°We are.¡± Jenica responded continuing to watch the other sister. ¡°And to answer your question, no killing that bitch won¡¯t bring an end to demons.¡± She grew thoughtful allowing a few seconds to pass in silence as she considered whether providing them with the same?¡®±ð»å³Ü³¦²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô¡¯?she had Dean Winchester before his trip way down south was called for under the circumstances. Then figured?¡®What the hell¡¯?and decided if she were throwing her hat in the ring with these two sharing information was a necessity.
?
¡°While there are some who no longer remember being so¡most demons were once human. Their souls having found their way to hell where eventually every shred of humanity was stripped away leaving only a demon behind. Eve was Lucifer¡¯s first. Those who manage to claw their way out of the pit find some unsuspecting human to possess in order to interact with this world.¡± She gave a slight pause waiting for the inevitable questions to begin.
|
OOC, Thanks!
IC
?
"So...but what if whoever sent us this tip wants to use as a decoy for this Eve person to go after," Jenny said, feeling obviously paranoid.
?
Crossing her slim arms over her chest she forced herself to sit back in her chair as she frowned pensively out at the room in general.
?
Then as Miss Dracula, as she had to amuse herself by thinking of the hunter, so as not to go completely insane, continued to explain who this Eve truly was. For some reason the feeling of having too much info for her head to hold sort of dampened the paranoia a little. There wasn't room in her head for the mind blowing and the paranoia, after all. They'd just have to take turns and play nice.
?
"So...Eve is the first woman from the bible."
?
She sighed.
?
"Crap. If the bible is all real I'm probably in some big trouble," she muttered, only half kidding.
?
"What about Adam, though," she asked, somehow curious in spite of everything going on in her head in the way of having her mind blown and all.
?
"Did he go to hell too? Is he a demon we'll also have to worry about? And Eve...Why did she become a demon for just screwing up with the fruit or whatever?"
?
It hardly seemed fair. Women always getting the wrong end of the stick.
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head.

¡°There could be any number of reasons this person?(whoever it is)?sent you that email. One possibility being that it¡¯s someone who¡¯s secretly working against Eve and can¡¯t afford going after her?¡®head on¡¯. Another being that someone out there is attempting to get you to do all the work while they wait until its found and take it by force so they can use it to gain her favor or perhaps kill the bitch themselves. Maybe Eve herself is behind it. She could want it found so that she could in turn take it off the table. Or someone hell-bent on protecting her.¡± Jenica knew none of those were possibilities the sisters would want to entertain as she herself didn¡¯t particularly care to imagine the outcome of any of them. The look on Abby¡¯s face all but silently confirmed what she suspected but the former princess didn¡¯t have the luxury of ignoring any of the facts.
?
?
?
?
?
?
Abby took a moment to let it all sink in before speaking up. ¡°So, what you¡¯re saying is ¡®damned if you do, damned if you don¡¯t¡¯? Because without this weapon we don¡¯t stand a chance against Eve, but if we go after it we could basically be painting a gigantic bullseye on our backs.¡± She didn¡¯t much like the odds but knew if Corbin was alive he would likely see this through based on things she had read in his journals.
?
?
?
?
?
?
¡°Either way, it isn¡¯t going to be pretty.¡± Jenica rarely ever sugarcoated things as she found it to be a rather useless tactic when things got rough or on the verge of becoming so. Something which probably had a great deal to do with her upbringing. ¡°Bingo.¡± Her single word response to the younger sister¡¯s statement about who Eve was. The words that came next bringing a mildly amused smile to her face. ¡°If we¡¯re talking ¡®heaven and hell¡¯¡.it¡¯s all real. Angels. Demons. The Devil.¡±
?
She thought back on things heard over the centuries. ¡°IF?one believes the rumors¡he could possibly have become the first?¡®knight of hell¡¯?though I am not certain about likely that is. It¡¯s like anything else¡things get said¡stories get circulated. So, it¡¯s a bit hard to sort through what is fact and what¡¯s fiction.¡±
?
Casting a sidelong glance to the other sister who while apparently listening had begun pouring over one of the many books lying about. ¡°What they did was perhaps considered to be the first sin, so, naturally it would have pissed the big guy off. However, it played out¡she played right into Lucifer¡¯s hands. After her death, he tortured and twisted her soul until all humanity was stripped away and the first demon was born so to speak.¡±
|
"Shit," Jenny breathed when given the explanation of how Eve became the first demon.
?
"I'm with Abby on the weapon business. This sucks! And moreover we're only human! I find it difficult to believe that there aren't more fitting beings out there to go up against the first damn demon!"
?
She glanced at Abby and sighed, running a hand over her hair.
?
"But I guess we all gotta go sometime, so may as well go out with a bang, gunning for the first damn demon," he said, then grinned.
?
Turning toward the computer, a large imposing desk top monstrosity, she turned it on, suddenly all business.
?
"Got to get?a plane?ticket if I'm to follow up this lead. Either of you wanna tag along or you got somethin' better to do?"
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head.

"Never said it wouldn't suck." Jenica shrugged wishing the odds were stacked more in their favor as the bordering on impossible was never fun. Of course, nothing about 'fighting the good fight' was ever even remotely simple or fair. And she really hated it when people used 'nothing worth fighting for is ever easy' as words of motivation. Normally she found that the ones prone to quoting that had never gone up against someone or something otherworldly otherwise they might choose their words more carefully.?
?
?
?
?
"Maybe there is. Maybe they just don't want to get their hands dirty." Abby didn't like imagining the possibility that those far more capable of taking on the first demon were simply going to sit this one out and let the humans fight this battle while they watched from the sidelines.?
?
?
?
?
"I would say that your guess isn't all that far off. Not many have enough guts to go up against Eve. All the normal tricks for dealing with demons don't seem to apply with her." Jenica would be lying if she claimed to be looking forward to this particular fight, though even with all her doubts she wouldn't leave these two sisters who were obviously rookies when it came to the supernatural to go it alone. "I have a couple friends I can call who would help us out. Hunters like me."
?
?
?
?
"The more the merrier." Abby welcomed any additional help from those with more experience dealing with this sort of thing. Glancing to her sister who she hoped shared that feeling. "In for a penny..." She responded when asked if she were going.?
?
?
?
?
"In for a pound." Jenica finished familiar with the saying, looking to Jenny awaiting her input on whether reinforcements were wanted. Both needed to be onboard with the idea as they would all have to work together and it wouldn't do for there to be fighting amongst themselves over a decision one felt left out of.?
|
"If you don't think it would gain us too much unwanted attention or send ip any sort of red flags I'd love back up," Jenny said enthusiastically.
Then she gave Miss Dracula as she tended to think of her an amused yet wary look.
?
"Anything we need to know about these hunters? Like one of them Frankenstien's daughter or Jekyll's bride or anything?"
?
She couldn't help a grin. In the midst of what felt like reality unwinding a little with all this them having to go up against the top demon business she needed a little lightening of the mood. She glanced toward her sister and added, "Like are they all human?"
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head.
|
?
Jenica took a moment as she thought about what information the sisters might need in advance about the pair she intended to reach out to for help with this. "No. We should be good. They know what they're doing." She pulled the cellphone from her pocket and began scrolling through her contacts. Glancing up with an amused smirk at the question asked of her.
?
"No. Neither of them are related to Frankenstein." Looking thoughtful then shaking her head slightly thinking better of joking about that as the two rookies were anxious enough without her possibly adding to it any more than she already had that is. Following a sidelong glance to the other woman who seemed for the most part either speechless or distracted then returning her focus to the other.?
?
"Yeah, they're human." She nodded quickly typing out a message that briefly explained their predicament and requested backup. When she hit send it went to both Sam and Jo thinking it best to cover all her bases on this one. Looking back to the small glowing screen upon hearing an alert she saw the blonde had answered with 'Will run it by Sam. But we should be on our way. Where are you?'?
?
She typed 'Sleepy Hollow' then hit send, wondering if she would be hearing from Sam as well on this one or if Jo would be relaying all messages. Which might be the way it played out if he were driving or first chance he had she might be receiving a call instead.?
?
?
?
?
(ooc: Don't have a Sam yet but if anyone knows someone or wants to attempt him it's cool with me. Some point I'm going to write an actual post for Jo. Just have to reread the backstory even though I wrote it cause yeah my memory not the best lol.)
|
OOC,I'll? temp Sam until or if we get someone. I want to take too many if someone else wants them and he's not a fave or anything, just someone I think I could write...so...if someone comes and wants him I will hand him over.
IC
?
Jenny looked and felt relieved that these people were human, and smiled a bit too brightly.
"Okay then," she said, tone overly chipper.
?
She? cast a quick side long glance to her sister then forward again.
?
"So do we wait until your friends get here or what?"
?
Sam looked up with a frown. He was in the middle of reading one text when he got another coming in.
?
Looking up at Jo h e said, tone hesitant, I'm good with helping, sure, but I just got this other text...concerning a case in potential and it feels weird to me...If we could balance both that would be great...Just...It's so weird it almost feels bogus...You know...that old book, the Strange calls of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Well there are rumors of such a team running around though...it seems they're both Hydes...a woman and a man...And they're causing a lot of trouble..."
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed. I get along with the voices inside of my head.
|
"We probably should wait on them." Jenica knew better than to go rushing into something of this nature without someone she trusted to watch her back. Especially when it involved two people who might require protecting as they were relatively new to all of this. She had seen far too many rookies either get themselves or someone else killed. ?Quietly glancing toward Abby who seemed rather wrapped up in the journals.?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
Abby carefully flipped through the pages of the journal looking for anything else that could be helpful and trying not to think to hard about having signed on to go up against the first demon. Lifting her gaze she looked to the others. "So, we wait. Cool our heels for a bit. Try to work out a plan." The last thing she knew might be nearly impossible until they knew more about what they might be walking into.?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
----------------------------------------------
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
"We can probably work something out." Jo didn't see why they couldn't tackle both. It would hardly be the first time the pair had essentially worked two jobs whether back-to-back or at once. "So, wait...how exactly do you get Hyde without Jekyll? I thought they were kind of a package deal." It was definitely a weird one.?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
?
(ooc: That's cool with me.)
|
"That's the problem," Sam muttered, gaze still on his cell phone when Jo asked how one got Hyde without Jekyll.
?
"We'll...yeah, keep working on it but we'll go handle this...it's more important."
?
Demons were more important than human demons. Both could be very dangerous but...take the big guns down first. He could do enough of the other tracking work online. These days interviews, research, any of that could be managed with a smart phone. It seemed to have basically?happened over night, the ease and accessibility much less the dependability, but he liked it when he wasn't weirded out. At times like this when he could use the fact the phone had turned into a basic communications and research bank, he valued it a lot.
?
He studied a photo that came through on his phone with a mildly perplexed frown, then closed down the window with a swipe. He'd show it to Jo later.
?
"Lets get going then," he said, standing and pocketing the phone.
?
?
?
?
Jenny leaned back, kicking one heal against the bottom of the chair in a gesture half frustrated, half idle. She arched brows at her sister when Abby mentioned coming up with a plan.
?
"With such little info...good luck with that. I would think we'll have to wait for the others to get here for?that to get?going...so waiting is likely the majority of our plan right now. Perhaps some fast food to go with that... I vote Chinese."
?
She frowned in thought.
?
"The main thing I want to plan right now is how we're going to survive...I'm hoping Drac's sister has some suggestions, considering she's the one with all the experience in such matters."
?
This time the arched brows were turned on the 3rd of their party as Jenny struggled not to appear too hopeful or too concerned either. Best not to fall into the grips of either emotion as she saw it.

Jenica doubted anything would come of the letter she mailed weeks ago given the odds against his being anything other than a man who developed a fixation with either her brother or the writings of a drunken Irishman. Either way it was a long shot she¡¯d been willing to take as all the time spent listening to friends and even strangers talking about family brought back a sense of loss one that never truly faded away no matter how hard she fought to keep it buried.
?
She drew a breath trying to keep her emotions concealed as turned away from the sisters who being new to all this no doubt expected her to have all the answers. Her brown eyes went to the phone still in her hand wondering if certain ¡®roadhouse connections¡¯ should be made use of but thought better of it as the fewer people who knew about this venture the greater the odds of their success.
?
Carefully tucking the small device back into her pocket as eyes drifted from one sister to the other. ¡°For now¡sit tight.¡± One appeared to be having a little more trouble with the idea than the other who continued pouring over the pages of old journals.?

¡°Kinda hoping that call to her friends is part that plan.¡± Abby leaned back in her chair leaving Corbin¡¯s journal laying open on the table as she carefully considered what she and her sister might be walking into. Shaking her head to clear away thoughts of all the ways going up against the first demon could go sideways.

Jenica leaned back against one of the tables filled with books. ¡°If you guys want to back out¡¡± One eyebrow lifted as her gaze drifted between the sisters deciding given the circumstances that offering the two women an ¡®out¡¯ before they got in too deep would be far better than having them get cold feet when mixing it up with a demon, especially one of Eve¡¯s caliber.?
|
"I've got a few little protections we can wear," Jenny said thoughtfully.
?
"They're hidden in my box of trinkets at home, so I'll have to nab them before we're off. I know there are 2, I may be able to scrounge up another, but I can't promise anything, " she told Jenika.
?
?
?
She had labeled and cataloged a lot of the items Corbin had left her but not all, admittedly. And when it came to it, of course she was protecting herself and Abby first. This new girl claimed to be a hunter and the freaking sister of Dracula o she could likely take care of herself.
?
"Want me to run grab them and meet you back here," she asked Abby, half rising as she spoke, already mentally half way out the door.
?
?
At this point, acting was better than sitting around thinking once the decision had been made as far as he was concerned. Too much thinking/worrying only left room for error.
?
?
Jenica's phone went off as Jenny spoke to Abby. When she looked, there would be a text. It was short and simple and from an unknown number. It read: Letter was received. We have come to investigate. Where should we meet?"
?
OOC, If she doesn't have a cell and didn't leave her number in the letter, disregard and I'll rework. I assumed so but it's been ages.

¡°This name keeps popping up¡Serafina.¡± Abby turned another page continuing her search for answers to the questions raised by both a need that drove her to be a part of this fight and everything learned from a woman claiming to be Dracula¡¯s sister. Any other time in her life she would have written this all off as ¡®crazy talk¡¯ and left it at that.
?
She was left to wonder who this woman was that Corbin kept mentioning. Someone who could help them or maybe the opposite? It was hard to tell but she had to trust that if it were the latter then there would be some form of warning left and so far there didn't seem to be one.
?
¡°Yeah. Protections. Should probably be getting those.¡± Her tone a bit distracted as she thought back on her mentor having written about Jenica leaving her tempted to ask what if anything she knew about this¡Serafina. It was probably a huge leap to assume there was any connection between the two.
?
?
?
?
¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª
?
?
?
?
¡°Thanks. But got it covered.¡± Jenica was careful to avoid revealing anything that might suggest the name spoken was at all familiar. It wasn't at all surprising to discover the possibility of his being either a friend or passing acquaintance of Serafina whose reputation as a hunter would have been enough on its own to make him curious even without the rumors of her being an archangel, fallen or otherwise.
?
It was then that the pinging sound drew her attention to the cellphone tucked inside her pocket. She withdrew the device expecting to see a message from either Sam or Jo, naturally it came as a shock when it was neither. ¡°Investigate?¡± She repeated aloud paying precious little attention to the Mills sisters as the question of whether such a meeting could have less than thrilling results.?
?
There was a moments hesitation then she quickly typed out a response. //Diner. Tavern. Or cemetery.// Seemed like a good idea to offer two rather public places along with a more private, less conventional option. It wouldn't do to lead a potential threat straight to her doorstep.
?
¡°I have something to take care of. We should meet back here.¡± With that message sent she looked around until she found a pen and paper then scribbled down her own number on two pieces then handed one to each sister. ¡°Just in case.¡±
?
?
?

?
(ooc: works for me.)
|
"Serafina," Jenny scoffed.
"She sounds stuffy," she concluded, giving her sister a wink.
Then with a thoughtful frown, "Or perhaps angelic."
?
?
?
With Abby's encouragement on the matter of the protections, Jenny hauled herself to her feet and nodded.
?
"Kay. Wait here and I'll be back in like half an hour. An hour at the latest...And I'll bring take out," she added as an afterthought.
?
Giving Dracula's sister an arched brow as she paused in thee doorway, she rested one hand on her hip, then flicked a glance to Abby, raising the same brow again.
?
The woman had obviously gotten a text that called her away. It wasn't their business so she bit back an inquiry. Hopefully it had nothing to do with them. If necessary she'd check later. Nodding she took and pocketed the number then hurried out on her mission of protective talismans and take out...maybe Indian. Spicy felt good today.

Diner...Address?

¡°Whoever this woman is¡Corbin was looking for her.¡± Abby didn't know what it all meant (if anything) but it might just be yet another piece of the puzzle. Part of her was mildly annoyed with her former friend and mentor for not sharing this information with her sooner so that more questions could have been asked.
?
?
?
¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª
?
?
?
?
¡°According to the stories I have heard¡she's a fallen archangel.¡± Jenica kept one bit of information to herself as she doubted either sister needed to know their mutual friend had at one point tracked this mystery woman down and seemed to believe she was precisely what others said.
?
She figured they had enough to keep them otherwise occupied while she was away getting answers. If this man were simply masquerading as her brother he would need to be dealt with as that was one thing she could not abide. Either way having someone tagging along would be far too risky.
?
¡°I¡¯ll be back soon as I can.¡± She informed the remaining sister as she herself headed towards the door upon receiving another text. Surprised at the location chosen but also relieved as it meant there would be people around thus lowering the odds of an ambush.?
?
She typed the diner¡¯s address then hit send barely hearing the words called after her.?
?

?
¡°You drop a bombshell like that then just leave!?¡± Abby shook her head at finding herself alone with all of Corbin's books. Maybe he wrote something that would help whether it was an entry about this Serafina or more information about Eve.?
|
Jenny turned back, sticking her head through the doorway to peer worriedly at? Abby, one hand on her hip.
?
"Thing is shouldn't a fallen angel be like evil or something?"
?
She blew out a sigh of exasperation and shook her head. It was always something. Either way it could be a case of needing to fight fire with fire.
?
?
"Maybe she's at least friendly," she muttered under her breath.
"Be right back."
?
?
And with that she hurried out. It took her longer than she expected to find the damned amulets marked protection in their little brown envelope. Such unassuming packaging and the flat disks on dark silver chains looked to be black obsidian carved with runes or some other ancient markings. They were flat and around the size of a nickel. Jenny just hoped they'd be up for the task.
?
She nearly stuck both into the pocket of her jeans, then after hesitating for a moment put one of them about her own neck before heading out for some fast food to go.
?
?
Idly she wondered if Abby had discovered anything and doubted it, all the papers there were so convoluted to say the least.
?
?
?
The couple sat in Mina's small red sports car with the top down because Vlad didn't want to go into the diner where others wre eating if he could not afford to do so himself. In spite of herself, Mina found herself smiling slightly at his joke.
?
?
"There is no way it could be her. When I see the impostor I will discover what game they are playing at, then remove their head," Vlad said coldly.
?
Though his tone was calm ice his eyes showed the anger that told of more emotion than simply cold anger.
?
