Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)

Mekare did not show any sign of recognition at the boy's name or story, for she'd never seen the movies.
?
"But they never tried taking? off his head? That usually works," she said firmly.
?
"That and fire. You just have to kill them right," she said, green eyes meeting the other young woman's with a forthright directness.
?
Jarveth looked amused at the 4 glasses of juice and Armand laughed, jabbing him in the ribs, not paying attention to the conversation the girls were having.
?
Of course they'd not know the others didn't want drinks, but Armand was going o enjoy watching Jarveth chug.
?
"You look thirsty," he quipped and the short muscular? man chuckled and lifted the first glass, deciding to kill 2 now just for Armand's amusement and save the other 2 for when his meal arrived. As he swallowed down the? contents?of the first glass, his steady watchful gaze remained on the slender form of Mekare. She wasn't relaxed but she wasn't agitated either.

Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)

¡°Not this ¡®boogeyman¡¯.¡± Jamie spent most of her life wishing that someone would finally put an end to her uncle while at the same time fearing it might trigger something within her cousin and awaken an even worse monster. ¡°He¡¯s been shot. He¡¯s been caught in more than one explosion that I am aware of and still he keeps coming.¡±

She lowered her eyes briefly though caught a glimpse of the other twin turning away. Had it been something she'd said? It was so hard to tell sometimes when much of her focus was always on keeping an eye out for her uncle or warning signs in regards to her cousin.

The bartender set about fixing four glasses of fruit juice as the conversation continued and for a moment forgot about caution in her desire to assure the other woman she didn't think her mad. ¡°His name is Michael Myers. When he was just six years old he killed his teenage sister and spent the next fifteen years locked up in Smiths Grove Sanitarium until on Halloween he broke out to kill his little sister¡my mother.¡±

Here she sighed deciding to only fill in the rest if asked as she risked a glance toward her cousin and suppressed a shudder at the thought of Kali having like her father murdered someone when she was only six years old. The similarity was just too eerie and understandably made her uncomfortable.

Re: Wedding Plans (Klaus/Tatia)

Tatia closed her eyes briefly at the memory of waking to find herself in the woods in a spot she somehow knew to be where she died a thousand years ago. That feeling of utter panic as she desperately looked around searching for a familiar face and the terror the thought of seeing Elijah inspired. But why think of this now? Perhaps it was only natural this too would be remembered.?

She shook off all such thoughts in favor of the future she imagined having with Klaus and a smile returned. ¡°It was just¡¡± How to express what she was thinking in that moment as a denial wasn't what she'd been seeking. ¡°While hearing about it did cause sadness¡it was also comforting in a sense because with everything else I was being told¡well, to me, it proved the man I loved still lived.¡±

Then with a smile she responded. ¡°At least the wait won't be a long one.¡± She knew that after a thousand years it should be easy enough to wait a little while longer but with how badly they both wanted this that was hardly the case here. Leaning in closer she placed a quick kiss on his lips before he exited the vehicle.

Climbing out as the door was held open she reached out gently slipping her hand into his.

Re: SH: Meeting Of The Minds (Eve/Abraham/Henry/etc)

"I do believe that you've gotten things a bit confused," Gold said dryly.
?
"Your headless...friend, attacked us."
?
?
An obvious point but he'd state it anyway.
?
?
At the over casually drop of the fact he was going to have another child and with the love of his life, Rumple drew in a sharp breath. As this Eve spoke, he was already silently plotting her demise. No one crossed him, no one touched Belle and no one got away with attempting to play his own games against him. At least not for long. But rather than stating more of the obvious than he already had, he remained silent.
?
?
?
?
Henry walked in then and silently extended one steaming cup to Eve. He sipped from the other while glancing briefly with raised brows toward the back of the?headless horseman standing sentry at the window.

Re: SH: Meeting Of The Minds (Eve/Abraham/Henry/etc)

¡°We met earlier, well¡not officially seeing as you were preoccupied with your attempts to inflict harm on my¡¡¯friend¡¯. It was really quite rude¡attacking someone so recently out of a watery grave.¡± Eve watched from the corner of her eye as the horseman stood watch at one of the windows, a thing that was strange to consider with his lack of a head but she supposed it was possible.

She shifted the phone from one ear to the other, already plotting out her next move. ¡°My name is Eve.¡± Lightly running the tip of her finger along the side of the cellphone she'd lifted from one of her ¡®guests¡¯. ¡°As for Belle¡¡± There was a long pause both for dramatic effect and to up his level of anxiety as she pretended to become distracted by something else.?

¡°Oh, she¡¯s safe¡for now. But she does seem a bit worried. Something about her friends being taken to the underworld and¡¡± Here the demon smirked even though the one she spoke with couldn't see her face. ¡°oh yes, the recently discovered pregnancy. Not to worry as long as you're a ¡®good boy¡¯ both she and your unborn child will remain unharmed.¡±

Rebecca laid stil for the MRI.??She was being hopeful but deep down she was expecting to be disappointed.??She felt like she was cursed to have these dreams of starting a family and never being able to do so.??She listened to her friend speak.

?

When she got up and out of the machine. She stretched and said ¡°well I cant imagine that could be frustrating that ou didn¡¯t have a vampire ou could stud.??Im hoping that we can help each other in that. I have strong feeling im in the best hands possible.¡± She smiled as it was strange they only met hours ago but she already felt close to franceskia. She looked over at felix and said ¡°well we all have our things we geek out on.¡±

Re: SH: Meeting Of The Minds (Eve/Abraham/Henry/etc)

"Who is this? Where is Bell," Rumple asked, tone tight with demand mixed with alarm.
?
Hopefully his wife was merely busy and someone else had answered her phone. That or she had accidentally lost it while shopping, he attempted, with little success, to silently calm himself.
?
?
Meanwhile with a musing look at the white horse, Henry moved into the kitchen area to put the tea kettle on. With a gesture and murmured magic word the water was boiling and the thing screaming out a whistle that made the horse briefly toss up its head and snort in alerted annoyance. Or whatever it was that caused horses to snort, Henry thought, not truly concerned. His mind was more on the conversation to come and all the interesting intriguing implied options.

"I don't know," Franceska said doubtfully.
?
Rebecca was a bit too confident in her, too hopeful and she'd hate to crush that with false hope.
?
"I work in life science, in giving life so I maybe could, but then again vampires I know next to nothing about and never understood if they're like straddling the line of life and death or if it's a different sort of immortality that makes it just life...Hell I can't even study Vlad with mris or anything cause he won't show up so this should at least be good."
?
Selfish scientific pursuits but there it was. She closed the machine and silently wished Rebecca luck. The process was finished in around 40 minutes.
"Now I just have to wait for the results," she told Rebecca with a smile.
?
To her comment of them having set up? fast Renfield gave a proud smile and Felix made a face.
?
"They have no life and just geek out all the time," he complained with a heavy sigh.

Rebecca nodded as she listened to franceskia. Rebecca followed fraceskia.? She said " I can't say I'm a tad bit nervous. Though I know I'm in good hand with you. I just hope whatever you see will be good." She looked around and whisked and said " wow you guys got set up quick. Anyway so what now just lay down and stay still."

Locked Re: Rebekah¡¯s Safe House (Franceska/Renfield/etc)

"Alright then," Franceska said, white blue eyes beginning to gleam with? a bit of interest.
?
"Lets get you into the mri machine, then. IT wont hurt, just you will need to be still and it may take around 40? minutes or so. We'll go over the findings together. I can't promise anything but it's an interesting challenge and at least we'll all learn something."
?
Felix rolled his eyes as his sister led Rebecca into the back where her machines were set up in one of the bbedrooms.
"Boring," he groaned.
"Watching Vlad unbox stuff where it looks like it's floating around in the air? by itself is way better," he grumbled and Renfield rolled his eyes.

Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)

Mekare placed slim white hands on the counter in front of her and met the other young woman's eyes with her stead knowing green ones as she nodded.
?
"I knew a very bad...boogeywoman. Let me tell you, they can all be killed."
?
She gave a slight shudder.
?
"No matter how long it takes, and then...then you are safe once again."
?
?
?
When the bar tender asked what the trouble was, Maharet's gaze tore from the girl drawing to turn back to thee bar and those at it.
?
?
"Trouble that should not exist by all rights," the other less intense red head said softly.
?
"Trouble that may make me sound mad if I told you..."
?
She nearly added,//If only I could be sure,// But she was...though she did not wish to be with every fiber of her ancient being, she was.
?
"Juice is fine. You have juice, don't you,"Jarveth asked, just wanting to get this over with.

Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)

¡°Well¡¡± Jamie started without knowing whether to offer the whole story or some edited version that filled in just enough blanks to answer some questions while raising others no doubt. She drew a breath eventually settling on the latter. ¡°There are those who claim my uncle¡that he's the boogeyman.¡± Her eyes went to the booth where her cousin was seated bent over the sketch pad she carried with her everywhere. ¡°And¡the ¡®boogeyman¡¯ has a daughter.¡±

Her feelings about her cousin were as complicated as ever with lingering doubts ever present. It was hardly as if she'd ever been given a reason to fear for her safety in all the time they'd lived under the same roof. But¡there was always this unanswered question of whether she was anything like her father? Would she wake on the middle of the night to the sight of Kali standing over her with a butcher knife?

She relayed their order to waitress who promptly disappeared into the kitchen while quietly contemplating whether anything on the ¡®drink list¡¯ could be considered healthy as was their preference. ¡°What trouble?¡± The young bartender became visibly tense as the thought of her uncle sprang to mind.

Kali grew tired of listening to the murmured conversations from a neighboring table so she laid her pencil down reaching into the messenger bag for a set of headphones that were soon plugged into her iPhone. She went to a playlist she created the previous summer and pressed play.

The music of what she considered a beautiful song effectively drowned out everything else as the pencil was once more held in her hand. There were so many moments in her life that caused her to heavily relate to the words the woman sang accompanied primarily by piano though it wasn't the only instrument to be heard in the background.?

//The weight of your words on my shoulders
I¡¯ve always carried on
Thought they'd get lighter as I got older
But all I know is wrong

Each minute that passes feels like a lifetime?
The clock falls off the wall
I pick up the pieces, but they have no meaning?
¡®Cause all I know is

Hold your breath and pray for the world to end
Nothing's left, some broken hearts will never mend
And every word¡¯s just a whisper to the wind
I pray to god for angels he¡¯ll never send
Hold your breath and pray for the world to end//

With what she struggled with on a daily basis there were these moments when all she could think to do was reach out to some higher power in the hopes it¡¯d make things better. Only it never did. She was left to fight this¡darkness on her own without fully understanding why it was such a part of who she was. Oh sure, she knew what her father was¡but¡

She gave a small sigh of something bordering on despair as she moved the pencil across the blank page of her sketch pad carefully drawing the masked face she recalled seeing on occasion in the place that was home until one night when a nurse helped her along with her cousin to escape.

It wasn't so much about being suicidal as it was just about being so incredibly tired of the war being fought within herself against this¡pull or whatever it was. Even now whenever she glanced up from the image taking shape on the page before her there was this impulse¡this drive¡that left her imagining the act of picking up a knife to either slit a throat or plunge its blade into someone's heart.

She closed her eyes tightly against those images, praying they would soon fade and knowing that even if they did there would only be a temporary reprieve. It was a small mercy that the worst times were closest to Halloween. This was something the young woman never discussed with anyone as she knew there to be a certain amount of fear that even Jamie regarded her with because of the fact she was HIS daughter.?

(ooc: the song Kali is listening to is At War by Letters From The Fire.)

Re: SH: A House Of New Friends (Regina/Emma/Spike/etc)

Solomon Kane supposed he expected Sarah to do something uncharacteristic. In some way, it was plausible, that he had more respect for the magical tome and its antics?than she had.?It might have been one of the few things he had in common with Winnifred. That and family values, to some degree. Sarah was, naturally the light hearted type. A perfect opposite to his own personality. One that made his life more worth living than ever before.
?
Of course there were times when she had the greater view of the situation. An unexpected depth that was belied by the triviality of its expression. He had seen these instances many a time, and would not doubt their existence. If Sarah was unable to come, if she was?more interested in their guests, perhaps it was due to their magical aptitude that could only help?in solving that puzzle.
?
Sighing in resignation, the grim looking man carefully picked up the volume, rubbed it slightly for encouragement, and came to greet Sarah. And the guests, he allowed inwardly,?as an after thought.? If they were worthy. ? ?

Rebecca shrugged and said ¡°no clue about wh we have to be invited in.??though cross and stuff like that doesn¡¯t bother us.??Always thought it to be some made up myth.??I never gave it any thought really.¡± She watched felix as he spoke.

?

She shook her head and said ¡°like I said not really into the youtube thing. So I¡¯ll have to pass. ¡° she half wondered about vlad doing those videos though.??She shrugged it off and returned her attention to franceskia.

?

She smikled and said ¡°great im game. I don¡¯t sleep reall so I got as much time as you want.??Though any finding about anything . let me know. Who knows you might give me insight I never knew.¡± She smiled as she waited for instruction.

?Max listened to her as she spoke.??He could feel her tense as he embraced her knowing she thought he attack her.??he would never harm her.??he would show her a life where she didn¡¯t have to be alone anymore.??He wanted to stay and protect her and he would.??He wouldn¡¯t do it because she thought she was manipulating him but because he can sense more in her than she even realize.??He could see her heart no matter how many walls she put up to protect herself from it.

?

Max kept her close looking into her eyes reach up to rub her cheek gently.??He said ¡°if a vampire or anyone got close to try and compel me I would rip their throats out. plus I know of herbs that can prevent compulsion. I am not easily manipulated. I meant what I said. Your not alone anymore. You don¡¯t have to fight alone for your survival. I will never leave our side.¡±

Klaus listened to her as she spoke about how caroline talked about how he had tred to court her.??he said ¡°I cant deny any of that. though I think m best courting was when I was trying to court you and win your heart.¡± He smirked at her. he could remember several things he had done to court her.??he hadnever thought he would of seen her again let alone finally get to be with her.??

?

He pulled up to the dress shop.??He looked at her and said ¡°I cant wait to see you in your dress. Holding your hands and marrying you.¡±??He smiled and got out and around to open her door.

Re: SH: Meeting Of The Minds (Eve/Abraham/Henry/etc)

Eve turned from Abraham though a hand remained on his arm as she looked to the ¡®sin eater¡¯ when he broke his silence. Thoughts racing with the possibility of a particular thorn in her side assuming the mantel of a horseman. It would be such a¡delicious development. With a pleased smile she played out the various reactions such a thing would inevitably inspire.

Her eyes briefly went to the white horse who seemed to rather quickly develop a fixation with keeping watch. ¡°You would be correct in assuming such a thing as your fellow horseman was already given a less than friendly welcome mere seconds after rising from his watery grave.¡± Oh, how those inconsiderate fools would soon see the error of their ways.

She gracefully breezed into the room as the way was cleared with Abraham following suit. There was a hint of amusement on her face at the comment made about tea. ¡°Yes, thank you¡that would be lovely.¡± There were two problems facing her that in that moment she was giving thought to.

The sickeningly sweet sounding ringtone now filling the air left her with a bad taste in her mouth but reminded her of the small device she'd lifted from one prisoner. Carefully grabbing the cellphone she lifted it to glance down at its screen, one eyebrow lifted at seeing the name ¡®Rumple¡¯, and for the briefest moment considered letting it go to voicemail then decided to answer.?

¡°Hello, Rumple!¡± She said sweetly.

Re: SH: A House Of New Friends (Regina/Emma/Spike/etc)

"But we have guests! Exciting new guests,"Sarah called back to Solomon.
She glanced toward the back, torn between the book and the new guests, wondering what Serafina wanted with them and how they'd be used. The book rarely sought out attention, so it did tug at her mental strings a bit that it had. Why? There had to be a reason.
?
"I know," she called out happily, raising her voice to carry to her husband in the back of the house.
?
"You can bring the book out and then you can see the new guests for yourself!"
?
?
Solomon could tend to be grim and not so mindful of excitement, but new guests should interest him if only for his own reasons, whatever they may be.

Re: SH: A House Of New Friends (Regina/Emma/Spike/etc)

With curiosity, Solomon Kane realized that he no longer felt the pull through the staff. For all he knew it never came from the staff itself. It might have been the staff's attunement that allowed him to feel it. The important point was that something else, equally untoward was happening. The magic book moved.
?
Changing his location carefully, so as not to alarm the unholy manuscript, Solomon leaned over to check out the spell it settled on. Well, it certainly did not appear to be the kind of?communication he normally associated with his son. And if it wasn't David, could it be Winnifred,?trying to draw Sarah's attention?from beyond the grave where she ostensibly dwelled? Even though he didn't quite get along with the eldest witch, she could be just trying to help if she were reaching through the book.
?
Either way, the indicated spell appeared too dark for his liking. IT was Sarah's purview, it had to be, he hoped. "Oh Sarah dear, the book wants you," Solomon called out loudly, wondering if his favorite witch could hear him from the outside.

Re: SH: A House Of New Friends (Regina/Emma/Spike/etc)

The eye on the Sanderson spell book winked at Solomon then the pages began to noisily?turn and flutter, making sure it had his attention away from the?staff.?Rather than resting on a location spell for? David, the book lay open to a deflect harm spell. The book supposed if the end of the world was coming they may wanna consider something. This spell required life force to do it so was a darker one but the life could be taken from anyone, dark or light so Solomon could kill an evil doer to achieve the necessary kick it would need if he chose to heed the book's rare warning and utilize the spell it had so generously pointed out.
