Re: SH: A House Of New Friends (Regina/Emma/Spike/etc)
"I don't need to play Dracula, I have my own style? and the...pricking wasn't at all in the same place," Spike said with a nonregretful amused smirk. It was obvious he was responding to unsettle and annoy because he enjoyed it.? When the address was offered for where Cordelia was supposed to be, if it could really be her, he stood lazily.
?
"Thanks much," he said, then looked toward the door.
?
"Well it's been real, all. Nice meeting everyone and all that. Good luck with whatever...been through too many?apocalypses?and not looking for another so see you around...or not."
?
?
Sarah watched thee vampire leave? and heaved a sigh from where she sprawled across Solomon's lanky form.
?
"Well there goes any fun for the next forever. I wanted to play with his blood," she pouted.
?
"Vampire blood magic could've made some fascinating immortality potions I just bet. No fair, no fair, no fair!"
?
?
?
When Regina spoke,e Sarah remembered she was interesting and regarded her hopefully. When talk of the town becoming a battlefield was raised she heaved a sigh, disappointment reclaiming her pretty features once again.
?
?
"No fair," she reiterated. "Solomon always gets to fight and I never have any fun. Never, never, never."
?
?
She was conflicted over the concept of thee dead rising. Because something's that could be a lot of fun and sometimes it could be bad...very bad. Her sisters returning or Mother or her friends, well that could be good fun, or even Nick, because she heard he'd gotten himself killed if the dark witch hadn't already managed to fix that for himself with some demonic deal or other. But others returning, like Bess the slut...
?
?
"no fair," she said a final time, turning and giving Solomon's long dark curls a playful tug as she kissed him. Self soothing that was, but he was very pretty and his hair was fun to pull.

Re: SH: Outside the Diner (Vlad/Jenica/Mina/etc)
"I wasn't asked when joining the ranks of the...undead as you call it,"Vlad told Jenica distractedly, gaze still on Mina.
?
"And I wasn't dead yet at the time, just close to it."
?
Mina pressed her hands to her face, shaking her head.
?
"Something is wrong..."
?
She blinked at Vlad. "Who are you! And don't lie! What has Mihnea done?"
?
Her voice was rising in upset and panic, uncomfortably close to hysteria and Vlad took her hands.
?
"Mina, it's me. You know that! What is happening?"
?
?
"Where is Mihnea! What has he done? You...I see you now, and you aren't Vlad...You're someone else...He didn't want me...He was he was married to..."
?
?
Glaring at Jenica she nodded. "To her!"
?
"What?"
?
Vlad gave a short incredulous laugh, eyes turning to his sister. He could sense she had done nothing and he better not be wrong, or she'd be torn limb from limb slowly. Mortals died too fast for that treatment so he'd turn her into a vampire first.
?
"Mihnea wanted me to be a vampire so he...he made me think you were Vlad! But I can see you now and I know you aren't."
?
?
"Mihnea didn't even know you until i turned you, Mina," Vlad said, tone frustrated as it began to sink in that something had been done to Mina.
?
"No! I know he tampered with my memories and I can see you now!"
?
She attempted to push away from him as she burst into tears and Vlad drew her closer instead with a frown.
?
"No. Lets not do anything irrational until I sort out what has been done? to you. Because you're correct. Someone has tampered with your head but it certainly wasn't me or Mihnea.
?
His words hardly touched Mina's hysterics, though...he'd never seen her like this...she didn't have it in her...he felt a rising anger which nicely combated the fear that was creeping in. A good thing because he really hated being afraid and people suffered for it.

Mystic Falls Cemetery (Hope/Miranda/Kol/Davina)
°Õ³ó±ð²Ô¡.
Hope devoted four years of her life to finding a way of bringing lost loved ones back to life, the last of which was spent trying to convince a witch by the name of Pandora to teach her a spell that would make time travel possible. If she went back to before ¡®The Hollow¡¯ returned then maybe she could head everything else off at the pass. It was a risk but if she got both her parents and uncle back then it would be well worth it. She paced anxiously as her gaze fixed on a ¡®window¡¯ to the past trying to gather the nerve to step through it as all the words of caution offered by the select few who knew the full extent of her plan echoed inside her head. There was a sharp intake of breath as the nineteen year old turned more fully towards it with a look of determination. One hand lightly touched the pendant which bore the letter ¡®M¡¯ to steady her nerves then quickly stepped through the ¡®window¡¯ as she called it for lack of a better word as it didn't quite seem to be what she imagined a portal to be. The young witch turned looking back over her shoulder for one last glimpse of three women who¡¯ insisted on being present when she attempted this before it closed. ±·´Ç·É¡. Hope let out the breath she'd been holding as the ¡®window¡¯ closed leaving her cutoff from her own time. This would be no small undertaking and maybe she shouldn't have been so quick to insist on doing this alone but she didn't want to risk losing anyone else. There were about a million ways things could go wrong. She turned finally taking a look around she found herself standing in a cemetery but more importantly the very same one. It was a relief to discover that part of her plan had gone as expected. She hadn't been quite sure that stepping through a ¡®window¡¯ into the past would put her in the same place as she was in her own time. But fortunately that was the case as she'd not been left in the dark about her location and had some ideas of where to go for any kind of help. Provided she could successfully convince someone of who she was. Her gaze turned upward as she caught a glimpse of darkness floating across the sky, slowly beginning to follow it she stopped when it did then looked down at the grave of one ¡®Jenna Sommers¡¯ whose name she recalled from the journals of Stefan Salvatore. The woman had been one of her father's victims.? When she looked up again the darkness had disappeared into a nearby grave, one eyebrow slowly rose at this turn of events. She didn't quite understand what had just happened and absently turned as if to ask if either Freya or Pandora had any ideas when she remembered she was alone now. |

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
Sam had wordlessly nodded to Cordelia's words concerning the need for he and Jessica to talk. If it was truly her, they did need to do that as soon as logically possible. Aka when his friends weren't being dragged away to likely only God knew where.
?
?
"Cas would be exactly?the type to run in?and play hero. Just he'd let us know first," Sam said dully.
?
?
He'd just? lost one and a half friends. Halbrek didn't like him overly much and called he and Jo Castiel's human pets, much to the angel's annoyance. But she was decent? to him if only because of Cas and had even helped out with something a few times of her own accord.
?
"I never heard of this demon queen save for the fact she was someone Halbrek wanted to stay away from. I assume she's bad considering that. If one demon is afraid of another..." He trailed off.
?
What could the queen of some earth hell be doing to Castiel? Should he not be stronger? Then again she was a queen. "We've got to help Cas," he burst out.
?
Gaze on Cordelia he asked,"Those visions. Can you call one up or what? If not I"ll have to find Crowley and throttle him into doing something."
?
He had to try. It was his only idea though in truth he thought Crowley would probably crow with glee at having Castiel out? of things and the war?demoness as well.
?
"Cas would do anything for Halbrek," he said, staring at nothing. "At least I really think she'd do the same for him, so no back stabbing for what that's worth."
?
He spoke to the company at large, eyes unfocused with shock and his struggle to come up with something. Another? loss. Yet another loss and he wasn't taking it. Cas wouldn't let this happen to them and he had to get the angel out which meant getting the demoness out as well because Cas wouldn't leave her. Their relationship was something Sam didn't get because...weren't demons and angels supposed to be immortal enemies or whatever? Good and evil? Yet Castiel often spoke of balance and Halbrek treated it much like a game at times. The two had apparently gotten together when he was out of commission and Cas was helping out another unnamed friend on a problem. Halbrek was called in on? it as well and apparently enough close proximity had allowed nature or whatever it was to take its course with the two.
?
He just wished he knew enough of the demon queen to know what she would want of them. "Thing is did she take Cas to get to Halbrek or does she want something else from him," he wondered aloud.
?
"Halbrek was really bothered? by the very thought of her and so she never said much and Cas never brought it up as he already seemed to know...whatever." Sam shrugged and sighed, feeling frustration and discouragement mounting while knowing he couldn't? afford that.
?
Turning his mind to the one thing he had an answer for he added,"Some people can see things, like the waitress. She may have some small amount of ability of her? own. Most? people just don't see things though. Or they decide they didn't, but as much of it takes a belief or ability that they lack I think mostly it's the former."

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
(OOC: Yeah, Sam knew before Gordon and his friends tortured Ruby to death. She'd told him her real/human name and all that led up to her making a deal at the crossroads.)
IC: ¡°I could see that. I mean, it's been years since you last saw Jessica and, well, hidden family histories.¡± Cordelia didn't really know what advice to give about a situation like theirs beyond the obvious but where things might go after the conversation she felt the two needed to have was their call. It probably did seem like another life to them both.? As much as she missed Angel, after all this time apart she didn't know whether she'd be able to go back to her old life so his hesitation on the subject was understandable. ¡°I just think you two should talk, not saying right this instant or even today, but it could help¡especially with the recent uncovering of secrets.¡±? She could have said more on the subject but her train of thought got interrupted by something that left her with an uncomfortable sense of deja vu. It brought back memories of being dragged away to Pylea, not an experience she wished to repeat, EVER. Her brown eyes quickly scanned the diner, surprised when no one seemed to notice a vortex opening up to drag someone to god knows where. It was only as she looked a little ¡®closer to home¡¯ that she noticed the frightened waitress just before she practically ran from the building. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª ¡°How did no one else see that?¡± Jo asked the question no doubt on the brunette¡¯s mind fully aware of a few possible reasons. Most people preferred to pretend things like that didn't happen or the supernatural didn't exist because it made their lives easier. That and no one wanted to look insane. But the waitress had obviously seen something. She tried to shift her focus back to Castiel¡¯s previous questions about Jenica but the shock hadn't completely worn off yet. Her mind still playing a bit of catch up with recent events, a feeling she hated. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Cordelia had the look of someone who was searching for something as her eyes moved over the occupants of the diner. Thoughts of her unscheduled trip to Pylea had her wondering whether this was a similar situation. But so far she wasn't seeing any ancient texts just local newspapers or cellphones. It was doubtful that either of those things were being used for that purpose. A question about visions brought her focus back to their table, anxiously biting her lip she wished she had some enlightening bit of information to offer but the Powers That Be seemed to have zero interest in the demon¡¯s fate. If there was some way of causing a vision about a specific thing at will she would have done so. It wasn't the first time they chose to stay out of something. She listened to the explanation of who could have taken Halbrek and while solving a mystery generally made her feel better this time it had the opposite effect. ¡°Okay. So, we figure out a way of making the mirror thing a bit more permanent then the not so fun part of finding this queen?¡± She highly doubted it would be as simple as it sounded. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Jo kept her opinions to herself given her distrust of demons in general. Sure there were rare instances when one had proven themselves trustworthy but a person had better odds of winning the lottery¡TWICE. ¡°Crowley?¡± She knew he'd gone to him for information on occasion but this didn't seem like one of those instances where there was anything in it for the ¡®king of the crossroads¡¯. Biting her tongue when Sam brought up something else that raised concerns given she didn't much trust Halbrek. Could a round of torture have the demon singing like a canary? It's possible. She wasn't entirely convinced the demoness could be counted as loyal to anyone but herself. The thought of a meeting with Crowley was one she wanted to avoid but she'd promised to always have Sam¡¯s back in his brother's absence so if that involved the occasional interaction with a certain demon then that's what she'd do. ¡°What if he doesn't¡¡± Her question was cut short by the sudden disappearance of Castiel. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª ¡°What are the odds he just decided to go play hero all by himself?¡± Cordelia asked knowing it was far more likely the same thing snatched him up. |

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
Castiel carefully regarded Sam and then slowly nodded. It should not have been workable. Crowley was an opportunistic self centered demon. Seemingly without even any redeeming qualities, like seeing the greater picture, preserving the status quo, maintaining the balance. None of the things that occasionally occurred to his elders. And yet, as an angel of war, Castiel was sometimes good at reading people. Crowley's peculiar weakness, or uniqueness or quirk stemmed from not truly liking his own kind. Possibly because he has not fully accepted himself. The angel was not certain about his precise motivation. Only his instincts told him that in some regards, Crowley could be trusted, and he did trust in his instincts, even?though at times they led to a failure, more than not they proved true.
?
"It would stand to reason.?I may not be able to know why, but I have become somewhat of a key player in the particular game. It looks like part of my personal responsibility to take care of this apocalypse affair, the riders, the whole mess. Certainly the demon queen would be aware of that, and seek to learn more about me. Only, I don't see what information Halbrek could divulge that the queen could not discover on her own. Even in my most insignificant days, before I was raised to my current station, I still left some trails, including my service at the squadron of Dilmun.
?
The only bits of information?which are not public knowledge are intimate details about me that should not seem that enlightening. And my alliance with?Halbrek herself. But kidnapping her should imply that the queen was already aware of this to begin with. The main reason I would consider for this move is a form of leverage. I simply cannot figure out why. What is it we're planning here that the demon queen should seek to stop, and to what end? Possibly if we understand better the matter of her involvement, that could clarify the situation, only we might not have enough time to thoroughly investigate it all. A short cut is what we need.? Wasn't Crowley?fond of trading?information? Yes I think we shall have to try your idea and arrange a meeting with him.
?
I am not too concerned about Lucifer himself right now, he seems...fairly occupied. But would prefer to stay under the radar of Lilith and Eve. We would need to be discreet until we find out what it is we're working against, and who we can trust..." the angel of war concluded?with some relief at a new possibility. If Crowley happened to know something,?Castiel was very willing to bargain. ?? |

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
Sam merely stared at cas for moment. The angel was distressed. He k new how they worked, and that what he asked wasn't happening. Hunting was usually when they left a trail, Halbrek had done nothing, she had been taken. Hunting this demon queen...
?
Belying his own disbelief that he could he spoke a simple name, accompanied by a shrug. "Crowley?"
?
Crowley wasn't anyone's friend, but he could barter for info if he considered it useful.
?
"Cas could this demon queen want information about you? I don't mean to be harsh but could Halbrek have been taken because of you for any reason? And if so how truly trust worthy do you believe she'd be under torture?"
?
The 2 did seem too care bout one another but how could a demoness truly be loyal to anyone, especially if she were being hurt, he couldn't help but wonder. Seeing Cas upset he didn't express the doubt anymore than he already had.
?
?
****
?
It was good she didn't need to breathe, for Halbrek's existence had become one prolonged scream of agony. Tears streamed down her face as she silently begged Castiel to rescue er. Could he hear her? Doubtful, but he'd do something...he.would.do.something. The earth queen hadn't been able to find her previously. How and why now? She was somehow able to wonder this through her agony and somehow the wondering frightened her even more. Why? How?

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
Azi's careful statement would have been disconcerting even if Castiel did not see Halbrek vanishing. As things stood, he almost shivered in anticipation of something unexpectedly dreadful. And then, when the explanation came, his head bowed with resignation. The fox demon had to be right. He felt the strangeness. It reminding him of high ranking demons trying to mold a particular time line with their dirty claws. There was a...ripple effect from it that?no archangel relished. For some reason, the shattering of the Mirror left a similar unpleasant touch on his psyche.
?
"No, Halbrek always preferred to work on her own,?and the demon queen seemed to have liked?every demon to two the line. I...I wonder how to track Halbrek now. Sam, you are an experienced hunter, do you think you can figure out where the queen took my...Halbrek," Castiel wondered, not truly hoping. His mind was reeling. Didn't Lucifer warn them only recently, in his own vague way, about some importance to Halbrek's blood line? He wasn't sure if he understood the demon correctly. That could have explained the interest in his partner. If only he dared, he was just desperate enough to try and summon Lucifer on his own.
?
The angel was not going to voice such thoughts in present company naturally. Besides, he was not even sure that Lucifer would answer. Perhaps he would have to try his superiors instead. Or Cordelia would have some vision that would enlighten them all.?Castiel knew an angel like himself ought to think of something, and yet, his mind was too?startled to focus on the solution. "Any other ideas, on how to get Halbrek back," the angel somberly?prodded, ? |

"Um...Yeah, I have some thoughts,"Azi said carefully.
?
"I can go confirm if you like but Alheala comes to mind. The mirror holding her and hers back must have finally shattered."
?
Looking to the humans, Azi explained what Castiel already knew.
?
"She is the?ruler of an earth hell realm, and hated by all but the most twisted and evil of demons. And by that I mean?ones that make Uncle?Lucifer seem...decent."
?
Looking back to Castiel with regret on his sharply pointed feathers he added,"Guess the mirror shattering was what you felt."
?
?
Then gaze falling on Cordelia the fox demon added,"What ever trouble you're sensing, the leader of that probably wanted help and set? her free...Not good for most of us."
?
?
He gave a shudder.
?
Sam hated feeling sympathetic for a demoness, but Halbrek was a scholar like himself and really did love Castiel even if she did insult his 'human pets' enough himself included, and he didn't think she likely deserved whatever was happening to her.
?
"I assume she wasn't down with? her queen," he said, recalling that Halbrek called herself a demoness of the earth hell.
?
"On nah," Azi confirmed with a shake of the head.

"I know about vampires only slightly more than I do about humans, but what you said does make sense and encouraged my hope to coopt the vampire king into our service," Castiel agreed with the hunter. "What kind of help does she require though? I am not averse to any alliance, except the ones that go directly against the best long term interests of Heaven and human kind.?So, what is this person, Jenica like, a fellow hunter?" the angel idly wondered, his expression changing at Halbrek's unexpected reaction.
?
"Halbrek? What happened?" The angel belatedly wondered realizing his demoness was gone.?Looking around he could not detect any hellhounds, Leviathans or Dukes of Hell. Nor any powerful angels seeking vengeance against a demoness. This was all inexplicable, worse still because he could not feel anything around them, just a vague trace of something,??an energy signature too weak to follow.? "Azi, any thoughts what?may have caused this? Cordelia, any enlightening visions?" Castiel?hopefully inquired, trying to focus on how to solve the problem, while pushing away any thoughts of dread. ? |

OOC, Does Sam know that Ruby is Vlad's sister yet? I mean he'd think of her as Ruby.
?
IC
?
?
"I don't even know her anymore," Sam said of Jessica, expression frustrated as he turned from the window to Cordelia.
?
It was then that it happened. Halbrek's eyes widened as her entire body stiffened. Releasing Cas's hand, both of her own hands clutched at the table in an attempt to anchor herself as well as keeping the angel safe from what she felt coming.
?
"Castiel...You were right. It isn't the vampire king you were feeling. It is..."
?
What seemed to Sam's eyes like a?tiny?vortex caught the red haired demoness and sucked her into...well she was just gone. The look of sheer terror and dread on her face caused his stomach to drop.
?
By the time Halbrek's mouth opened into a full out screams, she was far beyond the hearing of the others.?Fleetingly she wished she'd thought to tell Castiel that she loved him. Had she ever said that?
?
In the diner Azi's eyes?met those of the angel, his own growing wide with?silent?comprehension. There was only one being who could or would drag Halbrek away other than Uncle Luci himself, and he had no reason to do so. Would he aid her though? Azi decided probably not. It wasn't? really something Lucifer did...the helping people out of shit thing.
?
?
"What just happened," Sam demanded staring at the empty spot where Halbrek had been sitting like 2 seconds ago.
?
"Something real bad," Azi replied.

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
Cordelia dropped her eyes to the glowing screen of her phone as she began sending a flurry of texts in response to those she'd received. It was odd to feel eager to see Spike again when their last encounter involved her being bitten based on some vision ¡®Born Again¡¯ boy claimed to have had which was all part of an elaborate plot against Angel. Surprise, surprise. Boy, she really hated lawyers. She lifted her eyes from the screen as she looked to Sam, who was just then staring out the window when he spoke. ¡°You should talk to her. You both deserve that much after how things ended between you.¡± It was difficult to say whether he even wanted to have a conversation with his formerly dead¡ex girlfriend which she understood could get complicated. She noted with a faint smile that the blonde made a point of not touching the subject at hand as past flings and relationships were discussed. But there were a few glances cast towards both door and window, no doubt the woman being a hunter was feeling a need to test whether Jessica was human. While content for the time being with being the casual observer she'd been drawn back into the conversation as it shifted to that of things being ¡®sensed¡¯ which was unusual. One eyebrow rose in interest as she looked between them waiting for one or the other to elaborate on the subject. Vampires. Demons. Angels. Unsettling visions of a headless horseman. It had all the makings of a welcome package, if they were in Sunnydale with one exception there¡¯d been nothing of the angelic variety back home. Also, this was much, MUCH creepier. _____ Jo somewhat abruptly abandoned her current train of thought when the topic of conversation shifted to a name she recalled hearing from another source¡.one who had helped to knock some sense to Sam in those first months after his brother's death. ¡°Wait, isn't that Ruby¡¡± Quickly stopping to correct herself. ¡°Jenica¡¯s brother?¡± Why call her that now? The former demon had buried ¡®Ruby¡¯ when someone brought her back to life, thinking it best to leave that in the past and she couldn't say she blamed her with the enemies she'd made helping Sam. She quickly cast those thoughts aside in favor of focusing on her current train of thought.? ¡°If we¡¯re talking about Vlad III also known as ¡®Vlad the Impaler¡¯ then that's gotta be her brother and it stands to reason she'd be able to convince him to fight on our side. Wouldn't she? I mean, family was important to the guy, wasn't it?¡± She thought she was right about that bit about her brother as she recalled bits of what Jenica told them about her life before hell. Turning to Castiel, she added, ¡°She called us for help with something so she's already here in town.¡± Naturally all of this was said without realizing the woman she spoke of was outside in the parking lot at that precise moment. |
Re: SH: A House Of New Friends (Regina/Emma/Spike/etc)
Gabrielle was preoccupied with a series of texts being exchanged between herself and her mother's contact on the subject of this ¡®Cordelia Chase¡¯ who seemed curious as to the location of their new bleach blonde ¡®friend¡¯ here. Seeing no harm in offering she responded with two simple questions.?
//Where can she be found?// and //Shall I tell him?// She spared the occasional glance around the room noting that her sister had left the room. Odd. But nothing earth shattering in itself. There were times when she thought Solomon made the cambion uneasy. One eyebrow lifted at the vampire¡¯s implied preference for killing. ¡°Taking a page from the playbook of Vlad the Impaler?¡± She couldn't say it surprised her with the number of vampires who imitated him especially after the book written by Bram Stoker in the late eighteen hundreds. The ping of a received message drew her attention back to the small device. ¡°It seems she's at the local diner.¡± She said of the dark haired woman in question while quickly typing out a response then writing something down after being alerted to another message several seconds later.? She left her chair long enough to hand him the piece of paper containing both a location and means of contacting the woman. ¡°You can reach her at that number or if you move quickly find her there.¡± Of course, she could easily get him there in a split second were she so inclined.? ______ Serafina kept a watchful eye on the room at large as the conversation took a series of twists and turns that were not at all what she'd expected. It was surprising to learn this man who called himself ¡®Spike¡¯ might be an acquaintance of the seer. ¡°That's my hope.¡± She said when asked about allies, knowing it to be a bit of a stretch but¡desperate times and all that.? Giving a quick nod the archangel replied. ¡°It's all part of a plan to keep Eve from starting THE apocalypse, if the rumblings are true as to her recent activities.¡± She was almost inclined to reach out to Lucifer to see whether his support lay with whatever schemes his first demon was cooking up. If not..then he might be willing to get his hands dirty as she suspected he had far too much fun ¡®playing¡¯ with this world.? But that sort of thought process was something one didn't elaborate on with a puritan who might find it difficult to support. She imagined it was hard enough for him to be working alongside a demon like Liana but she'd proven useful and that her alliance was undoubtedly with them. _____ Regina decided to speak up as the conversation shifted back to that of hearts, a look towards Emma told her that it was being left up to her for reasons only they knew. ¡°Because Gold¡or as he¡¯s more commonly known Rumplestiltskin has a thing for removing them to make people into his puppets, a skill he taught me.¡± She took a deep breath, knowing certain measures would have to be taken. ______ ¡°I think this quiet little town is to be the battlefield for what's to come.¡± Serafina felt almost certain of that with the rumblings in regards to the witnesses amongst the demons she'd encountered and conversations had with Liana. Her expression became thoughtful a moment. ¡°Not yet. We have to be sure about why the dead are rising.¡± It was important that he investigated that first.? |
Re: SH: Outside the Diner (Vlad/Jenica/Mina/etc)
¡°It's been my experience that doesn't always keep people from rushing to judgment.¡± Jenica tried not to think of all those months spent trying to prove herself to a hunter who more than once aimed the very gun she'd helped get back into working order at her head or heart while making threats. Those memories stirred up a feeling of resentment within her.
She looked to her brother, or at least the man thought to be him, when he made what she supposed passed for a joke about this Felix person. So far there wasn't much they'd said that made her any more comfortable with the idea of a stranger taking a stroll through her subconscious while she slept. Honestly, someone having that kind of access was unnerving. It was difficult to tell whether the possibility of her having been telling the truth was a welcome one but the woman she'd known as Ilona seemed more open to the idea or at the very least willing to show kindness in the event she was. ¡°I do eat, yes.¡± She followed her gaze towards the diner along the way catching a glimpse of the Impala. Her apology was met with a look of understanding as she offered a response. ¡°I suppose not. It's something that I have had a great deal of experience with ever since the deal I made¡encountering people who have returned from the grave. It actually happens a lot more than you¡¯d think, though not so much that your average person would notice.¡± She gave the question some thought. ¡°I suppose, it's possible¡I mean, when I died I was a witch so that power might still be inside of me.¡± Her gaze shifted to Vlad who made no effort to hide his suspicion, head tilted slightly, keeping quiet about one key piece of information until such time as he believed her about who she was. ¡°Really? Says the guy who joined the ranks of the undead.¡± Given the reality of his own existence it did come as surprise that someone else coming back to life was unthinkable to him. When she looked back to the woman who'd been like a sister to her all those years ago there was concern in her eyes. Keeping quiet as she could see no point in echoing his words though judging by the way she'd looked at him something was amiss. But pointing that out so soon after her admission that it was possible she'd retained her power as a witch would only raise more suspicions. |
Re: Cabin in the Woods (Max/Katherine)
Katherine regarded him with some skepticism determined to figure out his angle. If there was anything she could be certain of it was that there was one. Everyone had one it was just a matter of figuring it out. The odds of this being one of those rare instances where a person was being upfront were astronomically slim in her opinion. She very nearly recoiled at the touch of his hand though more from surprise than anything else. ¡°Vervain.¡± The single word passing her lips as she thought back on the daily routine of putting that particular herb in her morning coffee. It was a good habit to have, especially when living in this town. If not a head injury or compulsion this guy was definitely high, why else would he make such promises? She couldn't think of a single reason. ¡°Who says that I¡¯m alone?¡± Her eyebrow rose as she posed this question trying to mask her uncomfortableness with the situation. |
Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)
¡°It's a little like that with the exception that it strips away everything that makes you who are. I guess, would be the best way of putting it. I mean,¡± Elena was never fond of revisiting those times when she'd flipped her switch as she shuddered to think what she'd done to the people she cared about. ¡°When I turned it all off¡¡± For now, she would leave out that it was something Damon had gotten her to do by invoking the sire bond. It wasn't as if she didn't understand his reasons for doing so or remember how overwhelming that sense of grief had been when she'd finally accepted her brother's death (because she did). ¡°I attacked my friends¡I almost killed Bonnie.¡± The only thing stopping her was her friend's magic and being locked up by the Salvatore brothers. There was a flicker of sadness as she remembered that moment when she watched as Matt¡¯s neck was snapped because she'd refused to flip her switch. ¡°There was a time when she practiced something called ¡®Expression¡¯ which to my understanding was dark magic. Not really clear on that though.¡± Her thoughts drifted to the elder Salvatore brother and the message Stefan had asked that she pass along but then she very much doubted he¡¯d factored in the possibility of his big brother shuttling it all off when he'd died in his place.? |

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
"Well, my assumption was that you could act indirectly. Using the female whiles without being blatant about it. As a way to warm him up towards a conversation, rather than your femininity. You can be quite subtle when need be, a trait I utterly lack. I think. But of course, should you try to be directly seductive, I doubt he would be receptive, or that I would be. In fact, why wouldn't you talk to his wife as well. She might think I am flirting with her if I try, you have a more natural way about you.
?
As for you Sam, didn't your brother have a vampire colleague once? I thought there were points in which you had a mutually beneficial alliance with vampires against some other monster. In truth I have been too occupied with many projects recently, my memory may be confused between different worlds and timelines, keeping it all together is a prodigious feat, even for an angel. A pity then, for you are the one who sounds the friendliest among us, and should you have tried to breach the distance, I think you could have. I believe that in the right circumstances, your brother would have made a deal with anybody if the situation is dire enough. We are not there yet, but such a time may be approaching. We need all the allies we can reasonably get, without paying too much for their participation..." Castiel explained and then seriously contemplated Azi's comment.
?
"Interesting, I thought entertainment was what you were bringing to this table. And yet, here we are. I don't suppose you are able to bring Ashtaroth and his charming friend aboard so that we can move in force?" Castiel hopefully inquired. |
Re: SH: Outside the Diner (Vlad/Jenica/Mina/etc)
?
Mina laughed.
?
:Oh god no! Felix doesn't need to judge anyone!"
?
Her frown at the idea of Felix daring to judge, considering some of the things she knew he'd done faded as her eyes softened.
?
"He's a good friend, though. A good loyal friend and a nice guy."
?
"Not to mention an entertaining jester," Vlad said with a chuckle causing Mina to roll her eyes at him.
The couple could obviously be light hearted at times in their way.
?
?
"Do you need to eat,"Mina asked, seeing her gaze at the diner.
?
Her tone was concerned.
"I assume you eat? Do you have extra powers due to your...resurrections or are you a completely normal human? Forgive all the questions, we simply never? knew such was possible."
?
"Still don't, in fact,"Vlad muttered darkly, glittering green gaze still full of low key suspicion.
?
Mina gave him a tired look but made no comment. Because he was right, but kindness wouldn't hurt in case it was true. His sister was probably very alone. At least Mina got that impression. That this young woman, whoever she was, was very alone.
?
?
As her gaze slid awaay from Vlad Mina felt her vision darken. Odd taht had never happened to her before...She blinked rapidly a few times to?clear her eyes?and looked at Vlad again.
?
"Are you alright," he asked, one strong hand shooting out to firmly grasp her upper arm.
?
"I...My eyes felt strange for a moment. Things looked dark."
?
JHer voice came out hesitent.
?
Vlad frowned. "We are vampires. Vampires do not have problems with their eyes or anything else."
?
"I know what we are," Mina said tartly, but smiled at him in amusement to soften her words.
?
"I don't know what it was, but I think I'm fine now."
?
But was she? When she looked at Vlad once again he looked different. Nearly as though she was seeing some fort of overlay of a different face that was not his.

Re: Matters Of Science (Rebekah/Franceska/etc)
"Sure we can go out,"Franceska said reluctantly.
?
Felix made a face.
?
"It's nice having RRen around but she never wants to go anywhere and neither does he," Felix complained with a long suffering sigh.
?
?
"I can work on my thoughts on where I want to start with you while we're out," Franceska told Rebecca.
"Toying with starting with some adapted blood transfusions with a few things added to attempt to make them hold as I feel a feeling otherwise your body would reject them. I doubt it will be that simple but the experiment may be telling as to why it didn't work and where we can go from there. And hopefully it shouldn't hurt."
?
Renfield frowned as he locked up behind them, not bothering to tell Felix not to call him Ren, though Felix knew he hated the shortening of his name.
?
"Where to then," Franceska asked, still feeling this town would hold nothing of interest and resentful of Vlad for putting them here.

Re: Matters Of Science (Rebekah/Franceska/etc)
Rebecca listened to her and nodded.??She took the clipboard and began to??fill out and sign her consent.??She made a note that this was her choice and that no harm was to come to them if anything was to happen.??She would send a text to freya, Hayley, and even davina later.??She didn¡¯t want her brothers to know just yet.??They truly wouldn¡¯t understand why she was doing this.??Only other person she wanted to know was marcel but she had yet to hear back from him.? ? Rebecca finished and handed the paperwork back and said ¡°there you go.??It was wise for me to do that.??I wouldn¡¯t want any harm to you two for doing this. After all you wouldn¡¯t be if I hadn¡¯t asked. So what now.??shall we eat like your brother suggest before we get started¡± |
