Locked Re: Darkly Dreaming

An invisible shadow on the fateful path. A dark presence in a dark alley. An inconspicuous observer. Rudolph Yerbler never thought he would get to play most of these roles, and yet, he had to find out what would happen. He had to wonder if his morbid curiosity was caused by him being affected by this new power. But he knew, if Judas was truly free to roam the Earth again, he might not have dared to?trail him personally. He preferred isolated pursuits. Spying on humans, tricking their warlocks, that was part?of the trade.?Attempting to uncover the motifs of?Hell's dark and forgotten legends, that was a different matter.
?
Fortunately, the specter of Sysyphus?divulged onto him its fiery wisdom. Apparently, Judas could not touch the world of the Living directly. There was a part of him, beholden to one of the Old?Ones, the ancient demons of the Underworld who have?sunk so deep, even the older demons like Messalina could no longer approach them. Sisyphus was too low ranking to ferret out the details, only that the man/creature that was Judas, was still somewhat limited. And yet, there was another way for such potentiate as Judas?to extend himself into the world above, by placing his nets around his prison, using them to capture young demons and then...
?
Rudolph was not quite sure what was to happen then, and that was the reason he was following the doubly horned demon of earthly colors back into the Upper World. Almost with curiosity, Rudolph watched the demon he wss trailing disguising himself, creating a cloak of invisibility that, well, was not quite up to his own standards of precision, but did the job of obscuring his visage from some prying eyes. He probably did not know the difference between humans and vampires, Rudolph?reasoned out with some amusement, seeing? he chose a?handsome male vampire?for his target. Some of the older vampires at least might actually be able to?sense a barely hidden demonic presence, they were on the verge of proper awareness after all.
?
Yerbler?almost expected?the handsome vampire?to sense the lesser demon's presence, not his own of course, due to his superior spells. Perhaps there was?simply too much on the?vampire's mind though. He was following after a victim of is own. Well, not a single victim yet, an entire group of them.?Perhaps the vampire intended?to let the group separate, then attack a single victim, but the?evening streets were lit far too brightly to risk an assault of this kind. Rudolph kept?thinking, trying to puzzle out what Judas put inside of the demon, and how the demon was going to use it against the vampire, when something unexpected happened.
?
Without any visible reason, the vampire did not bother waiting for the large group of humans to part ways, he struck, at all of them, some passers by even tried to take a picture on their cell phone, others called the authorities for help...Rudolph did not understand at first. It was clearly the power of Judas, manifesting itself, against a vampire, yet he did not feel any magic spells, did not smell the intoxicating odor of sulfur wafting through the air. Then how, what did the horned demon do to the vampire, he asked himself and then a realization struck him.
?
Self betrayal might manifest as self destructive actions. Without any magic present, that had to be?the power the demon exhibited, making the vampire reckless in his pursuit, self destructive?even. Rudolph wished he knew how to tell his master about it, without being too complicated and entangled in things he didn't understand. Perhaps if he only mentioned that some demons, from a certain Hell Circle,?started acted strangely, unlike themselves. That could be it, he decided brightly and then idly considered if he ought to terminate the double horned demon or possibly capture him.
?
But he noticed there was some kind of exchange between the vampire and the demon, with the demon's body suddenly growing. He is getting stronger from the vampire's self destructive actions he had initiated, Rudolph?decided and almost made another step towards the horned demon, determined to take care of him before his bizarre magic spread too widely, but the demon began looking around, as if his increased power allowed him to sense what he previously couldn't. Rudolph decided stronger demons than himself should attend to the matter. He had duty of a different kind and had to report to Crowley at once. ??

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

"You see that's where your friends are stupid.? Never return to the same place people knew you in 50 years. Wait a good 200," Mihnea said with a frown.
?
"Stupid vampires usually get put down if they don't end up getting themselves killed," he grumbled.
?
"How'd your friends last so long?"
?
Pulling into the airport he paused to send Felix a text concerning where the car was.
?
"Don't attempt running or it gets ugly and trust me you don't want to see that," Mihnea warned Elena casually.
?
He spoke almly, not with the bluster of a bully issuing a threat. No, rather a man who meant business and had done far worse without blinking merely stating a fact.
?
The girl hadn't crossed him so he was trying to play nice.
?
?
"Yeah all I know of sirens is Greek myths," he replied to the comment with a nod as he opened the car door and in a flash of vampiric speed wa thre to politely open hers as well. It? served to keep her close.
?
"As for the children being all that was left of a dead woman all lines must end eventually and perhaps children are better off with their mother. Losing one's mother is something some never really get over."
?
Did he wish someone had killed him back then? Had he wanted Ilona to hold him in her arms when she jumped from the castle ramparts? No. Of course not. Mostly because his father was still alive and he'd not be left to the Turks after all. But had he killed children out of necessity? Yes. Of course he had. Would he have shrugged off sentiment and done so without blinking to avoid the bullshit Elena had just spoken of? Of course he would've. He'd been raised as a ruler. Though these brothers were not kings, they were vampires and thhat held a great amount of responsibility. He had a mindd to find the king of their race and have a word. (Klaus? LOL)
BIC
?
?
As he led her toward an aircraft he added,"We'll elt you get whatever you need in NewOrleans."
?
His expression turned thoughtful as he considered children.
?
"I had children. It waas nice...It would've been nicer had Smaranda lived."
?
He looked away unwilling to share the emotion he briefly felt before ushing the past away with an effort. After losing his mother he'd learned to move on like it or not and waas fortunate to have had her returned to him. He nearly called to check up o on her at that? thought, rediculus though it was, but realizing she was with his father, didn't bother. He would always keep her safe, even if not the way either liked.
?
?
"My parents would love it if I could reproduce but I'm good. I don't know if it's ever worth immortality."
?
He slid her a glance, briefly amused.
?
"In otherwords when you're old you may likely regret that choice."
?

Re: Cabin in the Woods (Max/Katherine)

Max sat there listening to her story.??He was watching her as he listened.??So far what she had told him hadn¡¯t surprised him a whole lot. He knew she was a survivor.??He could sense it.??he knew survivors did what they had to do to protect themselves.??Even if it came down to sacrificing themselves to prevent further harm to them.

?

He listened more and was intrigued to hear her say she was once a vampire.??Though he was curious to hear how she was not one now.??he said ¡°so this Klaus was after you to perform some ritual.??He sounds like he threw a tantrum by killing your village. I am sorry you had to go through such a nightmare.¡± Part of him wanted to hunt this Klaus down if he was still alive and kick his ass.

Locked SH: Into the Woods (Regina/Emma/etc)

Regina blinked slowly as she woke lying on the ground with the feel of wet grass against the palms of her hands. At first all she noticed was darkness then little by little she became more aware of the moonlight that bathed her surroundings. ¡°Wh¡¡± All it took was one look around to confirm what she already suspected this was neither the underworld nor Storybrooke.?

?

The last thing she remembered was walking through a cemetery with the others then being swept into a tornado. Slowly climbing to her feet while dusting herself off she looked around until her gaze came to rest on the water rushing around the rocks nearby. ¡°Definitely not the River Styx.¡±?

?

Someone was behind opening that portal, but who? Emma wouldn't have dared without having found Hook first because the trip there was probably a one shot deal. Slowly turning in a small circle searching her surroundings once more she noticed there were others lying about though their little search party seemed to have gotten smaller.?

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

¡°When I first met Stefan, he was the mysterious ¡®new guy¡¯ at school, but as we got closer¡it was frustrating. I just, I just couldn't shake the feeling he was hiding something from me and it only got worse after someone¡¯s grandfather mentioned having known him¡fifty years or so before that day.¡± Elena felt odd revisiting that part of her past with a stranger as she'd grown so used to be limited as to who she could be completely honest with. ?¡°So, I dug through all of the old archived news footage until I found what the old man was referring to.¡±
?
She cast a glancing look in his direction before staring ahead once more. ¡°After seeing his face in that old footage¡I started piecing things together and went to confront him. I knew what he was but¡needed to hear the words from him. For a time I was afraid¡I didn't know if I could even be with him.¡± Drawing a breath as she looked to him again. ¡°That's the way I learned about vampires.¡±
?
It had been a lot to process in the beginning, not that it had gotten all that much easier, but she had managed to find ways of coping when things got a bit overwhelming. ¡°I am still wrapping my head around the idea of Sirens. All I know is what I read in the journals my friends kept for me while all that was happening. None of them seem all that eager to talk about it.¡± Not like she blamed them.
?
Her gaze returned to him when he expressed his disagreement with the choice made by the Salvatore brothers. ¡°Those little girls are all that's left of Ric¡¯s wife. She was kinda killed by her psychotic twin brother. Anyway his daughters would have died the same day if not for the coven of witches bent on protecting them. They used some spell transferring them from their mother to Caroline and still wrapping my head around that cause she's a vampire so kids not supposed to be possible.¡±
?
Sighing as she looked away, sorting things out for herself. ¡°It's complicated, more so than you would think, and unfortunately it's one of those things you almost have to experience for yourself. But I guess you'll see for yourself.¡± Given there was a nearly absolute certainty that Damon had flipped his switch.
?
¡°In my case, I wanted the chance to have children some day and¡¡± She stopped herself from continuing as she doubted her reasons were anything he¡¯d care about.?

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

Mihnea shook his head,Definitely soap opera material. The look of amusement faded and he frowned as he processed it all. Soap Opera material or not it was still true.
?
"People are always saying they're surprised that vampires are real. I am saying the same of sirens now," he said with a light chuckle.
?
"Though considering I didn't believe in werewolves or vampires as a mortal, why should I be surprised."
?
The question expected no answer and he shrugged it away.
?
"The mistake was not allowing the children to be sacrificed. A vampire is far more dangerous when controlled. stupid stupid."
?
He had no friends with children, but if he did he'd sure as hell not be offering himself up to save them. Only for his parents.
?
?
?
"If turning these emotions off make one feel nothing, why be so violent. If I"m not even angry I think I"d just lie in my coffin all day just not giving a shit to bother even getting up except perhaps to eat," he said skeptically.
?
The cure was also baffling to him.
?
"Why want a cure. The old ones I knew of just took a morning stroll into the sun when they wanted to die. And who else would give up immortality? My father would not have wished to become mortal to be with Mom. Not when they could spend eternity together instead, for example. Just makes no sense."
?
?
He arched brows in mild exasperation at mention of Twilight but made no comment, Humans and their silly vampire books but it was truly safer for their kind to remain hidden that way so let them write.
?
?
?
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

?¡°From what I understand it all started with opening some kind of vault where a siren was trapped. She got into Damon's head¡made him do things. Eventually her boss got out of this hell dimension he¡¯d created thousands of years ago. She along with her ¡®sister¡¯ tried making a deal to gain their freedom. They had some kind of deal where they killed people sending their souls to¡Cade.¡± Elena was surprised just how close she had come to forgetting such a relatively simple name but then with everything going on she supposed it wasn't all that unusual.?
?
¡°Her sister offered two little girls belonging to friends¡so both Salvatore brothers offered themselves as replacements¡the deal was accepted and collecting souls for Cade became their responsibility. I think shortly thereafter Stefan turned his humanity off. At some point he told them they could either deliver a hundred souls to him or kill the love of the other brother¡¯s life. Damon couldn't kill Caroline. ?But Stefan was headed straight for where I was being kept.¡± She honestly wished it was all some story from a soap opera but knew it wasn't.?
?
¡°When he got there¡Bonnie was inside while Enzo standing outside in the doorway¡Stefan came up behind him and¡ripped his heart out right in front of her.¡± It never once crossed her mind this was something he¡¯d care anything about hearing as she honestly figured he couldn't care less but talking about it was all part of the process. One she would have happily done with her ancestor if not for the kidnapping.?
?
¡°Stefan and Caroline got married sooner than they planned after receiving news of my doppelg?nger being back and out for revenge. Everyone thought it would draw her out because Katherine was always a little obsessed with Stefan but she was a no show. Sent someone else instead.¡± Maybe the story would help in more ways than one.?
?
She chewed on her lip a moment when the subject of control or lack there of was brought up. It's where things always got a bit more complicated. ¡°Damon¡does. It's just¡when something happens that sends him on this self destructive tailspin that it's hard to tell. His brother¡Stefan only ever had any control issues where human blood was concerned.¡±
?
There was this moment when she felt almost guilty then quickly reminded herself this wasn't her decision to make with circumstances being what they were. Maybe it would be better to focus on having fun or trying to as things could certainly be worse. Besides in a day or two this would all be behind her.
?
¡°According to Damon those books were better than the Twilight series.¡± She dimly recalled his mentioning having read a copy he found laying around Caroline¡¯s room years ago. Keeping any comments to herself about vampires turning women on instead she merely glanced over in his direction wondering whether most of this little trip would be spent watching as he killed a bunch of women with there being nothing she could do about it.?
?
Seeing a startled look on his face was hardly what she¡¯d expected when looking over at him. It hadn't lasted more than a few seconds but it was there. ¡°We heard this story about a cure¡one buried with an immortal named Silas. In the end I wound up shoving it down Katherine's throat to keep her from killing me. But, like, a year or so later after having been trapped in some 1993 prison world Bonnie brought it back with her¡she gave it to Damon who eventually gave it to me. I drank it and I was human again.¡±
?
Looking back out the window. ¡°It's essentially making it so that you can't feel anything. Not love, pain, anger or even hatred. You just don't care. Nothing matters. And it's easier that way. But it strips away everything that makes you who you are.¡±

Locked Re: The Foundry (Abby/Jenny/Jenica)

¡°Whoever this woman is¡Corbin was looking for her.¡± Abby didn't know what it all meant (if anything) but it might just be yet another piece of the puzzle. Part of her was mildly annoyed with her former friend and mentor for not sharing this information with her sooner so that more questions could have been asked.
?
?
?
¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª
?
?
?
?
¡°According to the stories I have heard¡she's a fallen archangel.¡± Jenica kept one bit of information to herself as she doubted either sister needed to know their mutual friend had at one point tracked this mystery woman down and seemed to believe she was precisely what others said.
?
She figured they had enough to keep them otherwise occupied while she was away getting answers. If this man were simply masquerading as her brother he would need to be dealt with as that was one thing she could not abide. Either way having someone tagging along would be far too risky.
?
¡°I¡¯ll be back soon as I can.¡± She informed the remaining sister as she herself headed towards the door upon receiving another text. Surprised at the location chosen but also relieved as it meant there would be people around thus lowering the odds of an ambush.?
?
She typed the diner¡¯s address then hit send barely hearing the words called after her.?
?
?
?
?
¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª
?
?
?
?
¡°You drop a bombshell like that then just leave!?¡± Abby shook her head at finding herself alone with all of Corbin's books. Maybe he wrote something that would help whether it was an entry about this Serafina or more information about Eve.?

Locked Re: Darkly Dreaming

The current king of hell sat hunched over the tarot cards his most useful underling had made for him. He watched the demon and angel through the cards, sitting in a stupid diner hands linked. Black and white swirling energies passed over the couple, surely some significance of the cards or the couple. Angel and demon, purity and corruption, perhaps except angels weren't nearly as pure as the little bible thumpers believed.
?
Smirking, Crowley stretched, slapping his hand over the cards in frustration. Nothing he did seemed to effect the couple's closeness and the damned demoness had just put up some sort of shield before she began talking to the pretty little dark haired bird.Snarling an oath, Crowley hurled the cards across the room. Only feeling briefly satisfied, he rose, grumbling under his breath to collect them and replace them on the table, only face down this time as he'd had enough for now and was beginning to get a headache.

"No it's not her fault. He started shit from what I understand, but it doesn't have to be her fault for her to need looking after,"Felix said.
?
"I'm sure your brothers would feel the sane," he added with a knowing grin.
?
When Rebecca pretended to bite him, it was Renfield who started and moved forward, nearly as if to protect Felix.
He had seen plenty of vampiric existence not to trust it among mortals. Felix needed a little protection at times too even if he disagreed. The man may be annoying and provoking, not allowing them to work half the time, but Renfield still considered him a friend and brother in spite of it all. He was family, and he'd do the same for him.
?
Franceska nodded to Rebecca.
?
:Lets take it one step at a time. I'd prefer not to put you at risk. We'll take it slow and careful. I'd say we could test other vampires before we do anything to you, but it may not matter as your family line is a bit different."
?
She frowned thoughtfully as she moved to collect the items she needed to take dna swabs and a small blood sample. She quietly described what she'd do before she did either and was quick and efficient.
?
"That's all I need for now. We'll study that for a minute."

Rebecca listened to felix and laughed and ran a finger along his chest as she walked around him.??She smirked teasingly as she said ¡°if your that worried about his friends I promise I want bite.¡±??She playfully acted like she would bite his neck.??She said more serious ¡°well im sorta his friend. One that doesn¡¯t mind giving him a good thrashing when needed. Regardless your sister was already on her way her.??not her fault she ran into one of damons fullish tricks. Minor mistake but he cant enter here anyway without a invite from the living lease owner witch only I know.¡± She turned her attention back to franceska

?

Rebecca listened to what franceska needed.??She nodded and said ¡°I trust you. So do what ever you need to do. Whatever changes that might happen.??We will deal with it.??I know you will take care of me no matter what???so take what ever you need and do what ever test you need.??MRIs are fine or any other picture needed.¡± She could tell franceska was just as eager to do this as she was.??it was a good idea she didn¡¯t let her siblings in on what she was doing.??Otherwise they would probably forbid her taking such a chance with friends she just met.

Re: Cabin in the Woods (Max/Katherine)

Katherine could think of two approaches to this situation, one that involved being blunt and another far more likely to be used by her doppelg?nger. In either case his resolve would be tested as she'd decided to offer the unedited truth as allowing it to be heard from someone else might do far more harm than if she just bit the bullet and told him herself.
?
¡°It all started with one little indiscretion that led to my being exiled and having my daughter taken from me. After that I found my way to London where I was courted by a man who secretly intended to use me as one of three sacrifices needed to break a curse his mother placed upon him only I had no desire to die so¡I ran. I didn't care who got hurt so long as I survived.¡±
?
Looking out for herself was a lesson she learned quick, something most people could never fully understand without being faced with similar circumstances. ¡°I went to this cottage¡where I was told I would find help. Only the woman I had been sent looking for was too afraid and told me I would be taken back to him..to Klaus Mikaelson.¡±?
?
She leaned back against the kitchen counter with palms resting on the counter while keeping a close eye on her guardian as she attempted to gauge his reactions. ¡°So, while alone I found a knife and used it to stab myself informing her that I would rather die than go back and, of course, fearing Klaus as she did letting that happen was hardly something she could do. To remedy that I was fed her blood, which, of course healed me as she was a vampire.¡±
?
Tipping her head to the side as she continued. ¡°Her friend, Trevor, showed up and while they argued over what was to be done with me¡I climbed up on a chair¡put a noose around my neck and kicked the chair out from under myself. Some time later I woke in transition¡fed on the human woman who owned the cottage and fled. When I returned to my village I found Klaus had slaughtered my family and I spent the next five hundred years running.¡±
?
Here she paused giving him a moment to process the first part of her story and ask whatever questions he might have before she told him about the things she'd done all in the name of survival. Quietly wondering whether knowing the truth would change his opinion.?

Locked Re: Rebekah¡¯s Safe House (Franceska/Renfield/etc)

Felix merely shrugged and rolled his eyes, inconvenienced. His sister was smart sure but until she mastered dreams, which she was currently unwilling to do, she was still a target to a degree in his eyes.
?
"Considering we're here because she already had a vamp run in I'll not be too careful," he concluded his thoughts aloud.
?
"Never know if the one she nearly got eaten by has friends," he quipped, only half joking.
?
"I can at least begin the process with you,"Franceska told Rebecca.
"I'll take a tiny blood sample and a dna tissue one as well if that's alright. Don't worry no one else will ever get it. And if you can be photoed I can do a quick MRI, certainly can't hurt and I've never been able to get it to?work on?our other vampire connections. It's rather interesting discovering new breeds," she said, the words a huge concession as normally vampires weren't, to her in the least interesting.
?
Rebecca was nice, though and the project set before Franceska was an interesting one if a little unlikely. She did love a challenge, though.
?
"It's either going to be blood transfusions or me making an elixir for you, I"m guessing. The later seems more likely as if the former could've worked someone would've done it by now. The elixir will serve to quicken your organs including the reproductive ones...If it works. Only I'm just not sure what else it would do to your current state," she added, sounding mildly doubtful with that admission.
?
?
Her nearly white blue eyes did glitter animatedly at the idea of the challenge, though. Her slender hands rubbed at the flowing fabric of her long black skirt eagerly as she spoke of the options and possibilities. Renfield, at her side and slightly behind wore a serious thoughtfully expression as he listened intently and considered. Felix, for his part, began to look bored.

Rebecca listened to the siblings arguing.??She said ¡°im sure your sister can take care of herself.??She is very smart and resourceful. Well at least what I seen anyway.??Though I assure you that this house is a safe house. plus a random vampire wouldn¡¯t just come to random house and knock and say hi can I have you for dinner.??Plus most vampire enjoy the thrill of the hunt trust me. also no one is invincible . many may think them so but there is always a weakness.¡±??she came inside smiling at the two. She notice they had done a lot since she had left.??

?

She looked to renfield and said ¡°I noticed . im impressed you all got so much done in a short time. Is there anything I can help with.¡±Rebecca was itching to get started. Part of her still holding out hope one day she could have a family and everything she dreamed of having.

"Serafina," Jenny scoffed.
"She sounds stuffy," she concluded, giving her sister a wink.
Then with a thoughtful frown, "Or perhaps angelic."

With Abby's encouragement on the matter of the protections, Jenny hauled herself to her feet and nodded.
?
"Kay. Wait here and I'll be back in like half an hour. An hour at the latest...And I'll bring take out," she added as an afterthought.
?
Giving Dracula's sister an arched brow as she paused in thee doorway, she rested one hand on her hip, then flicked a glance to Abby, raising the same brow again.
?
The woman had obviously gotten a text that called her away. It wasn't their business so she bit back an inquiry. Hopefully it had nothing to do with them. If necessary she'd check later. Nodding she took and pocketed the number then hurried out on her mission of protective talismans and take out...maybe Indian. Spicy felt good today.

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

"Your vampiric connections seem far too soap operish," Mihnea said dryly, not looking at her as he drove.
?
"And none of them appear to have much control. I am frankly surprised they are still alive and that no one hasn't put them down yet. Usually those that out of control have the grace to be more reclusive," he observed, tone mildly uncarring and mildly distracted as in truth his mind was elsewhere.
?
"Well New Orleans seems fun. We could do that. I was considering finding my parents, but they've not been fun these days," he said with a slight frown that momentarily bordered on sulky before the expression smoothed itself over once again at thought of the partying to be had in New Orleans.
?
?
?
"I have found it a fun place after those silly vampire Chronicles books came out in the 80s," he noted.
?
"Makes all the chicks hot for a spot of fangs and it's far easier to feed."
?
?
Rarely was he so matter of fact with mortals but this one seemed to have been around the vampiric block.
?
Then more of what she had said filtered in and he gave her a brief startled look before returning his green steady gaze back to the road.
?
"Wait. How were you a vampire before and not now and this switch flipping still baffles me. Seems psychological if you ask me."This conclusion was said in a dubious tone.

?
She addressed her brother who had hurried to hover over her shoulder when she opened the door to Rebecca's knock.
?
"Well after a vamp nearly tore your throat out, you can't just go casually opening doors without knowing who's out there," Felix grumbled, then smiled at Rebecca as Franceska stepped back to allow her to enter.

"She thinks she's bloody invincible," he grumbled.
?
"I won against Vlad, didn't I,"Franceska shot back.
"And so do you."

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

¡°Sorry. It's just¡¡± Elena paused uncertain whether she should even bother making the attempt at explaining. Turning her head slightly to look back behind them as thoughts of what all this would put those closest to her through. ¡°Small talk isn't really my thing and¡asking questions¡¡± With some reluctance she faced forward in her seat again.
?
She let out a somewhat frustrated sigh. ¡°Well, asking questions is just my way of starting a conversation with someone¡¡± The words ¡®who kidnapped me¡¯ were on the tip of her tongue but she finished the thought with. ¡°who I know next to nothing about. I need the distraction because right now¡I am somewhere between falling apart and freaking out.¡±
?
She didn't expect him to care there were just things she needed to get off her chest. ¡°I was asleep for fives years. I wake up to find that the man I love killed one of my oldest friends for no reason at all other than he was just there. His brother¡Stefan killed the love of my best friend's life then after becoming human married my other best friend only to sacrifice himself on their wedding day leaving her widow. It's all a bit overwhelming and I am not exactly handling it as well as everyone thinks.¡±

Staring out at the road ahead she thought about his introduction and the choice she'd been given. She supposed it was better than thinking about what she expected to learn from the so-called lesson he meant to teach Damon. ¡°I went on a road trip to New York though the focus was more on places vampires could feed without being noticed¡it was during the brief time I was a vampire¡I flipped my switch.¡±
?
The added explanation might not be wanted but she was attempting to make conversation. ¡°But then again I suppose New Orleans could be fun too.¡± With that said she turned to look out the passenger side window falling silent as she did.?

Locked Re: Plans To Escape: Leaving it all Behind (Kol/Davina)

Laughing Kol threw his arms around Davina, joy stamped all over his face and shining in his eyes as he carefully hugged her close. Carefully because a vampire always had to be careful with mortals. Always. But soon, that would no longer be an issue!

?
The thought made his heart sing while it was still hard to believe.
?
"I feel as if I've just won the best lottery in the world. I'll have you a?horde of daylight rings if you like."
He gave a giddy laugh before kissing her.
?
"Thank you," he murmured softly, drawing back only a little to gaze quietly into her eyes, hoping to convey with a look how much he meant those words.
?
Having her with him forever...having her safe and no longer the pawn of some long dead witches who needed to bloody stay out of the lives of the living...It was the perfect solution.
?
?
"I want you to know I understand what you're giving up. I do believe eventually that magic would kill you again if that helps."
?
That magic had saved a lot of people and solved a lot of problems in the past but there were other witches to do that.
?
"Remember that you won't be powerless. Just you'll have a different sort of power."
?
?
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Locked Re: Plans To Escape: Leaving it all Behind (Kol/Davina)

Davina found herself replaying a conversation she'd had with someone who understood her situation all too well. While the details of their stories differed things were similar enough for the two witches to be kindred spirits. Both found the ¡®love of their lives¡¯ in a vampire, a thing that opened up a whole world of questions about the future they might have together.
?
She could always learn the spell his mother used when transferring a soul into the body of another, a move that would provide ¡®immortality¡¯ while allowing her to continue to access magic. But could she live with it? Stealing someone else's life in that way? Maybe, maybe not. Then there was the matter of the ancestors who would always find some way of using her so long as she remained a witch.
?
It was one of those moments when she felt inclined to ask questions, ones that were at the tip of tongue but the words wouldn't come. There once was a time when she would have said ¡®no¡¯ without hesitation but her opinion of vampires changed dramatically when Marcel saved her life, something even her own mother had been unwilling to do.
?
Her history with the self proclaimed ¡®King Of New Orleans¡¯ had opened her eyes to a great deal but it was her love for Kol that played the biggest role in the decision she was about to make.
?
There was no mistaking the look in his eyes. She could tell it was just as much about protecting her as it was having an eternity together. Shifting in her seat so that she was facing him a little more, knowing that waiting on a response couldn't be easy. ¡°I am going to need a daylight ring.¡± While not a direct answer it was close enough that he would know she was agreeing to the idea of eternity.
?
Naturally she had concerns after having witnessed Cami¡¯s ordeal though there was at least a shred of hope things would turn out differently as she couldn't imagine he would turn her in the same fashion as his brother's ex had done her friend.
