Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)
"If this Damon loves you, 5 years will be a week for him too. If not...he isn't worth it," Mihnea said.
?
"When my mom returned...It was around 4 centuries and...for a minute it was like I was that little boy again, Missing my Mama?so of course there was room for her in my life."
?
He?jerked his head to face the window, uncomfortable with admitting as much but it felt as if the girl could relax with a bit of shared honesty. Calculated on his part but true and uncomfortable for it all the same.
?
"I suppose if a daylight ring could save your ass once it may be alright but I'm not so sure...Sounds as if you lose a bit of your soul? each time. Or perhaps it is replaced with something else each time. Not good either way. Or perhaps crossing over into where ever spirits go and returning simply isn't good for one's sanity. The transition isn't natural."
?
Ah Rasputin would be proud. Mihnea could spout magical theory bullshit with the best of them, not that he knew a thing about it. Rasputin may find it interesting though, but likely he'd agree with one of Mihnea's guesses and stay away from the things.
?
"The Doppleganger thing is also interesting and odd. If it isn't a past life you and it is magic what is it? I mean you said you've met some of yours, so are they like you personality wise or just look wise and what is the point of having a look alike? Are you related by blood?"

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)
¡°Yes¡¡± Elena felt reluctant to allow herself to dwell too much on memories of their time together. If she did, then she risked being reduced to tears. It wasn't because she found them upsetting or anything. It was just¡well¡the fear of it being over. He¡¯d always been there for her, even when Stefan hadn't been. ¡°I do. It's just¡¡±
She didn't talk much about her concerns, at least, not since she ¡®woke up¡¯. It had seemed somehow selfish with all everyone else had lost while she was sleeping. Bonnie had lost Enzo. Caroline lost Stefan. Alaric lost Jo. Everyone lost Tyler. ¡°for me¡it feels like only a week or so ago. But for him¡it's been five years.¡± Exhaling slowly to keep herself from becoming too emotional, something a fortunate shift in topics made more easily done. ¡°Only problem with the rings is¡the more someone dies while wearing it they go mad¡as in homicidally so. It's almost like they either develop an alter ego or maybe it just gives their darker selves the reigns. I don't know. We went through it with Ric.¡± ¡°Doppelg?ngers are supernaturally recurring so¡that leaves me out.¡± She gave a small shrug of her shoulders, wishing it were simply a case of past lives but knowing better. ¡°You have no idea how much simpler that would have made my life if that were the case but¡I have met one of my doppelg?ngers in the flesh as well as the one who's immortality was the reason for our existence. So, definitely not a past life situation.¡± |

Re: Wedding Plans (Klaus/Tatia)
Tatia was well aware that it was perhaps a little insane to feel so uneasy about something so simple as interacting with other people. Had it been all those centuries alone¡trapped on the Other Side? She was fairly certain there was a time when the young widow was seemingly carefree. Could she find that again? Be that way again? She hoped so.
She offered a smile in response to his reassuring words, not wishing to give the appearance of someone whose first impulse was to retreat (something she hated to feel). But being there with Klaus, knowing all she had to do was call out and he would be at her side¡helped calm her nerves more than she could have hoped to express. ¡°I feel better just hearing you say that.¡± When they parted she tried to stay focused rather than allowing her eyes to wander over to Klaus as she felt sorely tempted to do. Perhaps because a part of her still feared it to be a dream. Her gaze drifting from one set of dresses to the next finding herself more to drawn to the more simple, yet elegant ones. They seemed more¡her. She turned her head slightly when spoken to, offering a kind smile. ¡°I do appreciate the help. I suppose I am one of the rare ones who didn't have this day all planned out.¡± It was close enough to being true. It went without saying she used to imagine becoming his wife though the meddling of Esther had kept it from becoming anything more than a daydream until now. Her brown eyes instinctively moving to where Klaus when he was spoken of. ¡°As I love him.¡± Fate had brought them back together after a thousand years apart so she knew exactly how lucky she was. Easily becoming distracted in that moment. |

Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)
"I didn't believe in a lot of things until they happened to me," Mekare told Jamie with an almost kind smile. Her green eyes held a look of understanding as well as general concern for...the day itself.
?
"I suppose I could believe my twin sister and I were cursed. Things were certainly bad enough...Uniquely specifically so," she added after a moment of thoughtful consideration.
?
"I suppose one would look into how to break a curse then? Though perhaps it isn't as simple as that. Perhaps it depends on the curse itself," she mused, actually having no idea.
?
"I understand the vampire concept is difficult, but? so is the angel one...and we're having to deal with that."
?
She gave a light laugh.
?
Jarveth, finished with his meal, moved slightly closer to her, hand dropping onto her slender shoulder in a gesture of protection. She didn't feel she needed it, she was much stronger now, and always had been in her way. She only needed to adjust. Still anything from him was...desired so she l eaned into the touch.
?
?
Armand had given up and merely watched through hard stoic eyes.
?
?
?
"So what action are you taking," Maharet asked the woman who she could see thought of herself as Pandora.
"And...what are you if I may ask. Not one of us, not human. Something should be done about the dead returning, though, one would think."
?
She didn't pry too much into the woman, it was rude and in this case could be dangerous even if, for her, it had become somewhat of a survival mechanism.
Today held an unreal quality...like some unwanted bad dream, and she didn't like it one bit.

Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)
Jamie¡¯s eyes drifted toward her cousin for what felt like the millionth time since this conversation began. Theirs was a complicated relationship. More so than that of any ¡®normal¡¯ family. Oh sure, all families come with their share of issues, but...she¡¯d be willing to bet none that involved coming so damn close to visibly tensing the second a loved one¡¯s fingers touched a knife. It made preparing meals a less than relaxing experience.
She tried not to eavesdrop on the brief exchange that followed talk of vampires. It was just too weird. Even for her. Things like that didn¡¯t exist outside of horror stories. At least she¡¯d keep telling herself that until she pushed the other possibility from her mind for good. Should she answer that question? If so, how honestly? Following a brief look toward the corner booth to ensure Kali wasn¡¯t paying attention she took a deep breath then finally spoke. ¡°I don¡¯t know how much any of you believes in curses and I know how it sounds but...I¡¯m afraid that if he dies...it moves on to his daughter.¡± She felt guilty for saying as much as she felt certain Kali knew that everyone around her felt some hint of fear that one day she¡¯d become her father. It was ridiculous. Of course, she knew it was to be afraid of that happening, but...who knew what Wynn and the others had done the night her cousin was born.? _____________ ¡°How did you....?¡± Pandora was a little surprised at hearing that name spoken though not visibly so. No. When one lived as long as she had they tended to have a damned good ¡®poker face¡¯ under most circumstances. A quick glance was spared towards Lucy who appeared to be coming back from wherever her mind had just gone. She supposed it had to do with that name...Arthur. Her former fianc¨¦. If she was indeed THAT Lucy. ¡°I can¡¯t speak to what happened before we found her though a friend of mine might have a little insight. All I can say is that she woke earlier this evening and took off.¡± When the opportunity presented itself she¡¯d have to have a conversation with Miranda about what the vampire had gleaned from those few strolls in the ancient one¡¯s subconscious. ____________ Kali lowered her pencil a moment lightly tapping the edge of her sketchbook with its eraser. Brown eyes lifting from the page seemingly to look around at the other patrons though it would seem her mind had gone a million miles away. It felt as if she were right there in the room with him...with Michael Myers. But what she was seeing was somewhere else...somewhere close but not here. Not yet. She knew a feeling like that would fill anyone else with a sense of dread but in her case it was complicated as she¡¯d not had a traumatic encounter with her father or any other kind for that matter. The look sent her way by Jamie caused her brow to furrow as for a moment she wondered if her cousin had read her mind.? ? |
Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)
"You can't just speak of Vampires so blithely," Armand hissed into Mekare's ear.
"You know that."
?
His pretty face looked more fearsome at the moment as he scowled at her. Mekare nodded, but her calm expression didn't change. The nod meant that she'd heard him not necessarily that she agreed.
?
"Yes but if angels are singing to my sister about the end of the world, does it really matter?"
?
Did she believe her sister or was she only trying very hard and succeeding very well in to annoy him, Armand wondered, then sighed.
?
"How could killing him make it worse," Mekare asked Jamie, openly interested.
She was far more comfortable with talk of killing than talk of angels...or vampires either for that matter.
?
?
Meanwhile Maharet swayed slightly on her feet at the news of vampires returning from the dead. This Lucy, whoever she was was a marvel as once one was beheaded it was over as far as she knew, but the disturbing went to an entire new level when..."Akasha," the word, the question, rasped from her suddenly dry, constricted throat.
A calm yet distant part of her mind conversationally asked why it should be surprising if she, a nonbeliever, was hearing angels. Why did anything surprise her especially if it was bad. But...the rest of her mind decided that it couldn't be. She slowly shook her head.
?
"Her body...it turned to dust. That's...impossible."
?
The woman hadn't said Akasha and before Mekare had emerged from thee jungle like an avenging angel herself to take the evil queen down, Akasha had taken out many innocent vampires. If indeed the dead were somehow inexplicably returning, it was far more likely to be one of them. Yes, Maharet decided, soothing herself with that thought. It had to be someone else. There was no way.

Re: Mystic Grille (Jamie/Kali/Mekare/etc)
¡°But that's not¡they aren't¡¡± Jamie kept trying to finish that thought in a number of ways and yet nothing quite worked. It simply couldn't be possible. Vampires didn't exist. Did they? Her mind had begun to race as she sifted through bits of information she'd overheard while working as so often in these places the bartender went unnoticed.?
She knew this quiet little town had its share of secrets and often wondered why the sheriff wanted something called vervain slipped into the drinks every so often. Perhaps she should google that herb sometime to see if the internet could shed some light on the subject. ¡°I mean, you hear things but¡¡± Keeping up a neutral expression was becoming increasingly difficult as she struggled with the possibility that one of the most popular movie monsters was real. Jamie found it oddly calming when the conversation turned back to her uncle, a subject she'd long since come to terms with so her level of panic and disbelief were no longer on the rise. ¡°If he knows about us being here¡¡± Subtly tipping her head towards her cousin, Kali, who so far was still seemingly absorbed in whatever she was drawing. ¡°Then yes¡he will.¡± The memories of that ¡®connection¡¯ she'd shared with him as a child still fresh in her mind and while she no longer seemed to possess it herself she often wondered whether Kali as his daughter did. ¡°If it brought an end to this nightmare¡I would be grateful but¡sometimes I wonder if it would only start another.¡± She hadn't intended to say that last bit aloud and was thankful her cousin hadn't appeared to have heard it.? ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Pandora was hardly surprised at Lucy's silence given the topic of conversation, one that if the redhead was who she believed her to be had very limited experience with anything supernatural having died so soon after being turned. ¡°I¡¯m afraid so. You see, my friend here¡¡± The sharing of information wasn't a thing she felt terribly comfortable with but felt inclined to do so at present.? ¡°Caught a slight case of death¡when in 1897 she was staked and beheaded. Yet somehow, here she is¡alive and quite human again.¡± She caught the visible signs of what bordered on fear in Lucy's eyes as she recounted the woman's death minus all the gory details and once again wondered if it were possible she was indeed THAT Lucy Westenra. ¡°Also there was another ¡®houseguest¡¯ of mine who I am told is an extremely old vampire who died in the early to mid 1980s. On that I only have the word of a friend who was able to enter her mind as she was¡in a sort of¡coma until earlier this evening when she woke and took off.¡± ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Lucy fought to keep herself focused on the ¡®here and now¡¯ even as nightmarish images drifted out of her subconscious to haunt her. In that moment she could almost swear she remembered the stake being driven into her heart before it all went black. A single word escaped her lips as she sat there in that booth. ¡°Arthur.¡± |
Re: The Woods Of Mystic Falls (Akasha/Damon/etc)
"Ah," Damon drawled sarcastically. "Your late husband is the king of the vampires now. Well that's about as interesting and believable is the Dracula story. Why don't both of you tell it to the true eldest of our kind. That would be Klaus Mikaelson. What's your game anyway," he asked after a slight pause and intense yet skeptical searching of her eyes.
?
What was up with these crazy chicks, he wondered, curious yet deep down not caring. Playing with danger may be better than this emptiness but he didn't believe there was any here.
?
"The man who was sort of like a vampire was cursed by a witch to be immortal if you believe that sort of thing," he said.
?
Not all vampires knew of witches and this one somehow seemed young so he would see.

Re: The Woods Of Mystic Falls (Akasha/Damon/etc)
¡°Well, someone should. Don¡¯t you think?¡± Akasha only cared so far as it hit a little too close to home considering the anger and hurt she felt due to a strong suspicion that her own husband had turned a blind eye to her fate much the same way this...child seemed to be doing now with regards to this Elena. She took note of the coldness of his expression though appeared entirely unfazed, however, one eyebrow rose out of mild curiosity about who this man with similar abilities was. ¡°So, what was this...¡¯not exactly a vampire¡¯ guy then?¡± It was a change of subject she¡¯d entertain so long as it proved interesting but the moment it no longer did... Offering a simple shrug of her shoulders only briefly entertaining the thought of providing him with a little history lesson. For now, at least, he¡¯d been upgraded from a mild annoyance meant to become the target for her anger to potentially useful. It was all that was saving him at this point.? ¡°I don¡¯t know this Dracula but he is most certainly not the ¡®king of the vampires¡¯ that would be my late husband.¡± |
Re: The Woods Of Mystic Falls (Akasha/Damon/etc)
"Don't worry about? Elena," Damon said tightly.
?
The look he gave Akasha was cold as was his expression, though thoughts were flying behind his eyes. He'd only known one other person who could screw with people's heads like that.
?
?
"He wasn't a vampire...exactly," he spoke the rest of that thought aloud, wanting her reaction. "The other guy who could mess with people's minds the way you just did...People's vampires...pretty much anyone he wanted," he said, tone a mix of cold and conversational as he kept a close watch on this Akasha's face to gauge her reaction.
?
"I've never heard of any queen of the damned, but I do know you're getting on my DAMNED nerves," he quipped.
?
Frowning he added,"Though you're the 2nd claim to royalty I've come across tonight. Earlier it was the 2 Goth types claiming to work for Dracula...apparently they believe the movies that say he's king of the vampires." His tone as well as his expression were dry and disparaging on that one.

Re: Town Square (Matt/Nyssa/etc)
Nyssa quietly debated whether to reveal any details that might point him toward who she was. Most kids these days seemed too wrapped up in their Facebook and instagram to know the first thing about Greek mythology. But she had to remind herself that by mortal standards this man wasn't a child and with his connections to those she'd resurrected he might be familiar with things others weren't.
¡°I have always had a natural curiosity about things so I might have to keep that college in mind.¡± It would certainly help further her knowledge of this day and age and that couldn't hurt. She smiled when he talked about the blank stares he was met with when talking to college people. ¡°Perhaps they only understand words that follow a¡hashtag.¡± It had taken a moment to remember the word. She walked alongside of him toward the Mystic Grille. ¡°It's so much nicer than where I was before.¡± The words stirring memories of a dimension ruled by someone who called himself Cade, most were quick to call it Hell and perhaps in some fashion it was a great deal like it but she knew it wasn't it.? |
Re: SH: Outside the Diner (Vlad/Jenica/Mina/etc)
"Of course not,"Vlad snapped to the question of anyone having taken Mina's blood.
?
"Where is Mihnea," Mina tearfully demanded, glaring from one to the other, eyes hostile as well as upset.
?
"He's on an errand for me. You know that, Darling," Vlad said, trying to sound patient.
"Or rather you knew that. I set him to protect? Renfield and the gargoyle princess as well as taking care of the upstart who threatened them."
?
He bit back another? insistence that she knew that and instead turned his attention on Genica.
?
"Do you have any knowledge of Turkish mages? Or...anyone the Turkish vampires could've hired to do this to her? I will teach them all the joys of eternal impalement for this," he added darkly. "They forgot who they're attacking," he spoke in a near growl.
?
Mina smiled. "Do you remember when Mihnea impaled that one upstart vampire in our dungeon and forgot about him for a few years? IT was positively ghastly," she said with a chuckle, for a moment her green eyes clear.
?
?
Vlad dared hope as he turned to her with a nod. "Yes. HE forgot about him. An amusing oversight. Starved and suffering."
?
?
Mina blinked."I remember that but I remember...something else too. Mihnea turning me and you rejecting me...Not you, Vlad, and Mihnea made you pretend to be Vlad. I see Vlad's face under yours sometimes then another image on top? of it that is not Vlad."
?
She pressed hands to her eyes as Vlad took her firmly into his arms."I am Vlad. Mina you are being tampered with and I need you to fight? it."
?
A sob tore from her as her eyes squeezed more tightly shut. "I...I don't know."
?
releasing her suddenly, Vlad needed to at least get one uncertainty out of the way and had decided how to do it. Lunging for his sister in a blink, he tore into the side of her neck. IT only took a second and he drew back, emotion twisting his face. He would know the bloodline of his family. It was her..."But...how...why?"
?
It was just all too much to take in. And why this now at the same time this was happening to Mina?
?
"Not her, someone else with dark hair," Mina said, staring at Genica but seeing someone else's face. Someone who looked Egyptian.
?
"I am sorry...You weren't married to Vlad but why are you pretending to be his sister? Why would Mihnea pay you to do that just to keep me sane because it isn't working!"
?
Vlad drew her close again vowing silently to find new and far worse tortures for whoever did this. He gave his sister an emploring look, hating to implore anything from anyone.
?
"It's like she's fading in and out. Lucid one moment and having overlapping memories of our reality and another at the same time. Who could do this? Some witch curse," he wondered, cursing himself mentally for not bothering to learn more of Turkish magics as they changed over the centuries. He had believed himself untouchable as the vampire king by such. He had his own witches and wolves, but someone striking?out at Mina, they knew what they were doing and they knew his weakness. And now he had another family female to protect. Would they strike at? Genica next?

Re: SH: Outside the Diner (Vlad/Jenica/Mina/etc)
Jenica was on the verge of asking questions about his being turned when things started getting strange. Her brow furrowed in a mixture of concern and confusion when it appeared that without warning Mina became convinced the man at her side wasn't Vlad. Under any other circumstances she would have been quick to convince her otherwise but there was just a bit too much uncertainty within her own mind at present. While keeping a close watch she cast the occasional quick glance around half expecting to catch sight of whoever might be responsible. Some liked to do this sort of thing when they were close enough to savor the fallout while others preferred to do so from a safe distance to avoid possible retaliation. Her search being quickly abandoned at hearing that bit about her being married to Vlad. ¡°Whoa! Time out. I am not now nor have I ever been married to my brother.¡± Quite honestly she'd never taken a husband, a thing that had a lot to do with her focus being on the safety of her family. She'd done what she felt was necessary to ensure that and it had hardly seemed right to marry when her fate was sealed. The fingers of one hand lightly touched her phone as she considered calling Sam as the scene continued to unfold. She wondered a moment just how much her brother, if it were him knew about what was going on in this town. Had someone or something chosen to take advantage of the situation? Old enemy of his? Doubtful it was one of hers as she¡¯d gotten them off her trail when she'd buried ¡®Ruby¡¯ and became herself again. ¡°Anything strange happen lately? Aside from learning about me.¡± She'd quickly added that last bit as a way of implying she'd had nothing to do with whatever this was. ¡°Anyone take some of her blood?¡± She knew of a few spells that might require that to pull this off.? |

Re: SH: Meeting Of The Minds (Eve/Abraham/Henry/etc)
¡°Have I?¡± Eve glanced to the horseman standing guard next to the window or at least that's what his stance suggested. One eyebrow carefully rose at his suggestion of it being her who had the series of events mixed up. ¡°I seem to recall he had only just risen from his watery grave when you took it upon yourself to¡begin throwing fireballs before he even had the chance to act.¡±
A satisfied smirk graced her lips as she caught that sharp in take of breath. So, he hadn't known his estranged wife was pregnant? ¡°Ohhhh darn, she didn't get the chance to share the news with you first? That's too bad.¡± The demon was curious how much useful information could be gotten from his precious Belle. Of course, less than friendly means might have to be employed to do so but¡ She accepted the cup of tea with a gracious smile seeing no reason to be otherwise at present. Her thoughts threatened to turn to problems with a few demons who needed to be made to see the error of their ways and they would be. Sooner or later.? The shrill pinging sound close to her ear caused a look of sheer annoyance as it was most unpleasant. She lowered the device for a second to check the text message seeing as how there was a video attached she knew it¡¯d have to wait until her conversation was done. No point letting an outsider eavesdrop. If that were possible. Truthfully she didn't know as these modern devices were a bit of a mystery still. As she lifted it back to her ear she spoke again. ¡°As much as I¡¯m enjoying our conversation it really is quite rude of me to keep Belle waiting. Until next time.¡± It somehow felt like a better choice to leave him with a bit of mystery¡let him sweat. His imagination would no doubt be running wild as to what was being done to his wife and unborn child. Without waiting much longer she lowered the device once more then with her thumb hit end call. Going back to the text she tapped the video to open it, one eyebrow rose as first Halbrek and then a little bit later the Winchesters¡¯ pet angel vanished from the diner. It paid having eyes and ears everywhere.? Her eyes narrowing as she thought over the possibilities of who could be behind such a thing. There weren't many who were stupid enough to nab someone in full view of the public like that as it drew unwanted attention of the hunter variety. But one person sprang to mind¡.Aohila. Whoever let that bitch out had a not so bright future ahead of them. She thought briefly about whether they should be left to fend for themselves but the idea of the Winchesters¡¯ pet angel owing her was just too delicious. Taking a few more sips of her tea before asking. ¡°So, how much do you know about binding the mirror that keeps Aohila cut off from the world?¡± She had several possible options available to her but trusted Henry, her horseman of War. Figuring he might have questions on why she was asking she turned the phone so that he could see the video one of her demons had recorded at a local diner. Everyone had their own theories about what she was doing and why but there was more to it than anyone knew. More than a desire to watch the world burn. Oh sure she'd enjoy that well enough but her reasons went much deeper.? (ooc: figure little build up before what we talked about.) |
Re: SH: A House Of New Friends (Regina/Emma/Spike/etc)
"Oh my darling, that cannot be it," Solomon Kane quickly objected, unwilling to cause a fight between a Sanderson witch and the source of her magical legacy. "She probably only talks to me, because she cannot hope to get you. Likely, she knows that you are not feeling as great of an interest in her as you used to, when Winny was around. She probably feels neglected and need you to pay attention to her again, to try and cast some spells with her. Just being jealous of your time, and thus trying to make you jealous In turn, in vain of course," Kane concluded.?Once he would have considered himself going mad, or worse, dark, talking about a book of spells as if it had feelings. But he becoming a different man, a man who has seen too much and in whose world, books could act like animate objects.
