Re: Town Square (David/Katrina/etc)

Katrina checked her phone when it vibrated then placed it back in her pocket since it was nothing earth shattering. She studied the man a bit more closely trying to determine whether he was the overzealous type that given the right circumstances could be just as much a danger as a vampire. ¡°The way I understand it things aren't so ¡®black and white¡¯ in this town.¡±

She automatically noticed a car pulling up outside the Mystic Grille, there was nothing out of the ordinary about that or the two women who exited the vehicle. The brunette she'd seen around town a handful of times but the redhead¡.was new or at least someone she hadn't seen before. But there was something oddly familiar about the latter.

¡°I trust the sheriff, if he says they're not a problem then¡I take his word for it.¡± Her words came slowly as she studied the redhead searching her memory for where she'd seen her before. Maybe nothing important. Or so she hoped. But the huntress felt a little frustration at being presented with not one but two puzzles to solve.

Her gaze drifted over the others before returning to David. ¡°He knows where I stand. If his friends start dropping bodies then¡it's open season.¡± She knew without question her team hadn't been the only ones to stress that point when talking of vampires with the sheriff. Rayna and her father felt the same.

Slipping her hands into her back pockets as she carefully considered his question the responded. ¡°I think¡no one is more highly motivated to discover whether our mystery woman poses a threat. He grew up in this town. He¡¯s seen it go through some ¡®rough patches¡¯ and wants to protect it.¡±

Locked Re: Salvatore Boarding House: Desperate Times (Bonnie/via text Enkil)

Enkil found himself studying her clothes in some astonished awe. Hands smoothed down the long robes in which?his watchers had clothed him, or had it been whoever had resurrected him? Or...had the clothing come along with them? He blinked, feeling suddenly very overwhelmed. All of this in the bright lights of this home was suddenly too much.
?
?
The vast mental understanding and contact he believed he had with the world, at least in part, was fading in the face of electricity. His clothes seemed foreign and hers worse and while all this mattered was beyond him, but it left him speechless. Instead he wordlessly extended the phone. It was useful for information but what did he truly need to ask now that it could tell him? It did not know his wife. It did not know the twins. Neither, apparently did this witch. He nodded, his way of returning her greeting through the sudden distraction with which he felt to be drowning.
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

Mihnea chuckled.
?
"Oh Mom never fixates on anything to the point of madness or at all really. She enjoys learning and studying and has a quick mind. She would be more pressed if she felt it was important to our safety but she's more relaxed about things than obsessive," he concluded in mild amusement.
?
"She just finds the different types of vampires fascinating. Surely we have main characteristics in common but the different breads does interest her a bit more than it does me. If the different characteristics aren't useful to me directly or a threat to me directly I could care less," he shrugged.
?
Expression turning thoughtful he added,"I do wonder if this flipping the switch makes them a little mad."
?
?
?
Mihnea read the texts and replies silently when they were presented to him. He frowned in concern but said nothing. If Rasputin had to set his demon to eating the souls of some witches it'd make a happy well fed demon and wouldn't trouble Mihnea's sleep at night. If the witch played along, perhaps he could make more friends and allies.?
?
"It is entirely up to you and your friends if you survive. I am completely honest about this," he told Elena, accent becoming more thick as his concentration slipped.
?
"I only react with violence if I believe I am being crossed. Tell her this is you wish."
?
He shrugged again, gesture careless as he glanced out of the window.
?
?
"It appears we shall be landing soon," he observed.
?
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed.
I get along with the voices inside of my head.

Re: SH: Outside the Diner (Vlad/Jenica/Mina/etc)

Jenica felt some of the anger slipping away at seeing something that bordered on sympathy being shown though not surprisingly it hadn't come from the man she hoped to be her brother. If it hadn't been for all her time spent around Sam her past might well have remained buried and along with it a desire for family. ¡°This¡¡¯friend¡¯ of yours¡he isn't inclined to play ¡®judge and jury¡¯, is he?¡±

She didn't care whether they reached the conclusion that she wasn't exactly a trusting sort based on her question or any other actions taken on her part. ¡°I guess it couldn't hurt.¡± The brunette took a look around the diner parking lot with her gaze settling briefly on the vintage black impala that so closely resembled the one driven by a certain hunter that she dared hope he might be inside.?

It wasn't all that difficult to see this was awkward for all involved parties and likely would remain so until the matter of identities was resolved. ¡°No. I haven't had a home since my first death. I¡¯m just¡passing through.¡± She was hesitant to say anything about the two sisters with who she and the others would be hunting a weapon to take down Eve.?

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

¡°I don't think there's anyone who could explain exactly how it works. I sure couldn't and it's something I experienced firsthand.¡± Elena wished she could be of more help providing answers about the humanity switch, but it was simply one of those things that seemed to defy explanation. To some a thing that would be a source of intrigue and others might find it maddening.

¡°Or drive her mad.¡± She replied with a slight shrug, knowing that sometimes when a person became too obsessed with finding answers it usually took a toll on their sanity. ¡°Or not. It's hard to say. I mean, I guess it depends on how well she handles not being able to solve life's puzzles.¡±

Then with a faraway look in her eyes she brought up the past again. ¡°It is¡a danger. I never enjoyed taking a life, but¡when I flipped the switch¡I killed without remorse.¡± Damon had always tried to get her to accept that part of her nature as a vampire but her compassion always prevented it.

The thought of ¡®giving up¡¯ on the man she loved was an idea she struggled with, but she would be unable to live with herself if a choice made to save or even avenge him got everyone else she cared for killed in the process. Of course, there was a chance they would be successful, but the possibility of failure worried her far too much.?

She shook her head slightly. ¡°The only plans I had for the evening were reading the journals my friends kept so that I would know what all I missed during the five years I spent asleep. Not the most exciting way of spending my time but¡there is so much I missed.¡± Even though it was something she'd asked them to do it still filled her with a sadness when she read their words.

She looked thoughtful a moment then turned to him. ¡°I have an idea that might work just as well.¡± As she spoke she typed out two separate texts both of which she showed him awaiting his approval before hitting send on each. While the first contained a brief explanation of what was going on and of how Bonnie could be of help the other was simply precisely what Mihnea suggested that Damon be told.

With that done she waited to hear back from each of the recipients, not at all surprised at how quickly Bonnie responded. She unconsciously held her breath as she opened the text from her friend which read.?

//Are you okay?//

//Damon ditched his phone. But I have a way I might be able to relay the message to him.//

//How do you know this guy won't kill you anyway?//

She sat quietly reading the series of texts that were popping up on her phone then responded with.?

//I am. What? How?//

The brunette sat anxiously waiting on answers and was glad to not be kept waiting long as her imagination was beginning to run wild at the possibilities.?

//Do you remember when Rose kidnapped you?//

She breathed a bit easier at the recollection of how her friend had gotten word to her that the Salvatore brothers were coming for her. Deciding to respond to the witch¡¯s previous question.?

//Because¡he seems honorable.//

She made no attempt at hiding the screen if he chose to read along.?

Re: Wedding Plans (Klaus/Tatia)

Tatia was concerned that her decision to become his wife might cause a rift between the two brothers who always seemed so inseparable. It would be hard not to have that thought enter her mind with everything she'd been told. But she loved Klaus far too much not to see this through, after all, they deserved a chance at finally living ¡®happily ever after¡¯.

She slid her hand into his as she exited the vehicle with a smile on her lips. ¡°Nor could I.¡± There was a short pause as soft brown eyes looked up into his, silently wishing that she could convey everything that was in her heart but words seemed inadequate at the moment. Her smile only brightened at the touch of his hand on her cheek.

As they walked hand in hand the world felt less frightening than it had since she stumbled out of those woods. From the first moment she saw the woman exiting the building she'd already begun to consider other possibilities but strangely enough all it had taken was a few words from her fianc¨¦ to change her mind about letting them inside.

She supposed it was what Caroline had called ¡®compulsion¡¯ as she'd never seen it done or at least not that she was aware of. ¡°If it's not too much trouble.¡± The response was almost pure instinct even as she was never one to want to cause a problem for someone else.

Locked Re: Plans To Escape: Leaving it all Behind (Kol/Davina)

¡°I really hope that had nothing to do with us.¡± Davina kept looking out the window as if expecting it to circle back around and was somewhat relieved when it gave no sign of doing so. But it didn't quiet her concerns as to the nature of what they had just seen. She swallowed after a moment trying not to assume the absolute worst.

She had quickly learned through conversation that Mystic Falls was only slightly less dangerous than living in the French Quarter. ¡°I would love nothing more than to be able to live a perfectly boring¡normal life for a little while at least. Nothing trying to kill me or anyone I love.¡± It might be asking too much, she was aware of this but it didn't stop her from wishing.

¡°I should be able to unless¡¡± He probably wouldn't like hearing what she had to say next any more than she liked entertaining the idea. She looked over at Kol then continued. ¡°it's way more powerful than I am and can cause some kind of magical interference.¡±

Locked MF: Headed Into Town (Lucy/Pandora)

Pandora was uncomfortable with the way things unfolded but there was little to be done and seemingly no immediate need of a locator spell. In the time since the abrupt departure of ¡®sleeping beauty¡¯ her friend had taken leave to visit the cemetery leaving her alone with the amnesiac who when she entered the house looked white as sheet as she stared out the window.?

At first she couldn't make out what the redhead was saying as with a furrowed brow the witch drew closer¡keeping her movements slow to avoid alarming her as she looked frightened enough. ¡°Lucy?¡± Her tone a comforting one as she spoke. Had she remembered something? Maybe it would help to get her out of the house and away from all the Dracula stuff for a while.

Lucy started at the sound of the woman's voice, instantly whirling around to face her hostess as she repeated the words. ¡°Eyes like flames. Scared to sleep. He was coming for me.¡± Her eyes darted around as she seemed to be looking everywhere at once while keeping her arms tightly about her waist to conceal the shaking in her hands.?

If asked she didn't think she could tell Pandora who she'd thought was coming for her or why it terrified her so. Was it a memory? It certainly felt as if it were. But how could one be sure? ¡°There was this¡angry bat and the overwhelming smell of garlic.¡± Her voice came off as distracted when she spoke as if trying to recall something just out of reach.

Pandora came to stand beside her at the window as she spoke reassuringly. ¡°You are safe. No one is coming for you.¡± If they were then they would be dealt with accordingly. Her eyes looked about the living room a moment then returned to the redhead¡¯s face before going on. ¡°How about we go into town for a bit? Maybe take a walk around the square or...¡±

She reached out placing a gentle hand on her arm. ¡°It might do you some good.¡± The poor thing was pushing herself so hard in her quest to remember something more than her name and perhaps it was starting to take its toll. When she got a small nod she made sure they each had all they needed before leaving the house locked up tight.?

The brunette escorted her through the yard to a sleek black luxury sedan parked just to the right of the front porch and moments later it was being steered out onto the road headed into town.

It concerned her having seen that kind of fear on the young woman's face and even made her question whether recovering her memories was what was best for Lucy. She supposed the redhead would stubbornly keep trying no matter what she or anyone else had to say.?

(next post should have them at their destination)

Locked Re: Salvatore Boarding House: Desperate Times (Bonnie/via text Enkil)

Bonnie ran a hand back through her hair as she walked from one room to the next suppressing the urge to pace. This whole thing was driving her up the wall¡first her friend goes missing then she can't reach Damon, who may or may not be even remotely helpful at this point. Taking a deep breath she slowly exhaled checking her phone once more hoping she wasn't making a mistake here.

When she checked outside again there was still no sign of Elena anywhere and on the off-chance she'd snuck upstairs to take a nap she went to check her room. ¡°Damn it! Where are you?¡± She kept her voice down to avoid attracting attention because getting any of the kids caught up in this would only make matters worse.?

She came back down the stairs just as a knock sounded the door, taking a quick look around she was satisfied that she was alone then went over to open it. ¡°Um, hi.¡± It was a little awkward as she wasn't sure what to say aside from a simple greeting to get things started.

Matters Of Science (Rebekah/Franceska/etc)

"Well we'll try all we can to reverse the vampiric process first and then getting you a baby in other ways 2nd and 3rd," Franceska told Rebecca, patting her shoulder in an attempt to be comforting, though emotions weren't generally Franceska' strong suit.
?
"I don't get why anyone would want to get old, ugly and die, but I'll try to help you do it," she said with a slight smile and shrug.
?
"It's so odd...I create life, and I guess this is doing the same in a sense, but also creating death if you want to age and all. In a way it's sort of what I do and sort of the opposite," she said thoughtfully, wondering silently if that mattered and if she should start thinking in reverse to an extent, though not too much as she didn't want to kill Rebecca, just to reverse the immortality and vampirism.?
She sighed in frustration.
"It doesn't help that vampirism, to me at least, isn't at all scientific. If it were, I'd be running circles around it and kicking its ass!"

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

"I understand what? this flip of the switch does," Mihnea replied thoughtfully.
?
"Simply not the exact mechanism of how it is done. I can only speculate it is another small difference in the 2 vampiric races."
?
He gave? a small chuckle.
?
"It is a thing that would fascinate my mother but for me it is only? mild curiosity. I understand how some could consider it a blessing but for me it would be a danger even to oneself."
?
When she spoke of sacrificing herself for her friends he nodded.
?
"Well in this case at least that makes you a smart girl. No one will get hurt and if anyone does it will only be Damon, who appears to deserve it. Keep your head on your shoulders as it is now and you and your wise friends shall all be safe," he said, giving her a not unkind smile of amusement as his green eyes lightened.
?
Sighing he glanced out of the window again.
?
"As it is, I am sure you and I both had better things to do so this Damon is a pain in the? ass. We can at least try to enjoy our enforced vacation," he added optimistically.
?
?
He frowned as a thought occurred to him.
?
"As you are now...cured, it is a pity you and Damon are no longer linked. It would make things so much easier," he sighed.
?
?
"Perhaps you can get a message to him that you are now removed because? he attacked the pets of a vampire king. Now could be a good time for that."
?
His tone turned cold and matter of fact, though not directed to Elena herself but more toward the pain in the ass?situation Damon had caused for himself.

Locked Re: Plans To Escape: Leaving it all Behind (Kol/Davina)

"Well I'd still like to get the hell out of here. Only question is, did everyone see that shadow thing or was it just? for us?If for us it would follow," Kol said, like Davina's own voice, his was more distracted than he realized.
?
He was bloody tired of being a pawn...First of his own elder brother then whatever this was...The witchy fates, whatever...
?
Running a hand through his hair he let out a sigh of frustration. And if it was for them, it would be good to have back up. He could ask his sister to scry but then if it wasn't about them she'd attempt to guilt him into staying...Decisions and choices. Did he hate them so because he was unaccustomed to being allowed to make them? It was much better when things got complicated at others expense, he decided dryly.
?
Then it hit him. For a mere scrying attempt he didn't need his sister. He had a witch right here.
?
"Do you think you could try scrying to see if it's for us in any way or if we can safely get the hell out of here," he asked hope?and excitement beginning to emerge in his tone.
At least this gave them some sort of direction. Better than nothing.

Locked Re: Plans To Escape: Leaving it all Behind (Kol/Davina)

Davina fell silent as her mind drifted to thoughts of all the havoc someone as powerful as ¡®The Hollow¡¯ could wreak if allowed to rise from the proverbial grave. If the bits of legend she'd overheard from the ancestors were true then there were four bones out there somewhere that couldn't be destroyed so the tribes had been forced to scatter in order to keep them apart.

¡°I can only imagine how bad things could get if Inadu¡¯s followers manage to resurrect her or¡¡± She hated to think of the alternative as it left her with even more questions about the one who brought her and the others back to life. Maybe it would be a smart move for someone to solve that riddle before the wrong people did.

Then as if something suddenly snapped her out of it she gave a somewhat more distracted response than even she realized. ¡°Huh? Oh. Maybe it could work.¡± Oh, how she longed for her mind to go back to happier subjects because all of this left her with an intensifying desire to hide away in the mountains or on a tropical island somewhere until it all blew over.

Re: Leaving Mystic Falls (Elena/Mihnea)

Elena looked over at him with a smile on her face in spite of lingering concerns. It helped when the mood was lighter to forget about the stakes and having been kidnapped. At least for the time being though it was always in the back of her mind. ¡°So, it's all about the ladies?¡± She mused able to picture that being a reason Damon would have given.

As the conversation shifted her gaze dropped though she followed what was being said. She could appreciate the sentiment behind his words when an apology had been offered and it did leave her contemplating everything else. ¡°I had the chance to ¡®save¡¯ myself..I could have taken Katherine's blood when she offered it to me then spent the rest of my life running but¡it would have meant death to everyone I love.¡±?

Here she turned her head to look at him hoping her words were taken as the reassurance she'd intended them to be. If the choice was between her own life and that of everyone she cared about¡she'd save them EVERY single time. ¡°So, if helping with this keeps them safe¡¡±

She tried to think of the best way of explaining what it was like to just shut it all off and it wasn't an easy thing to explain to someone who had never experienced it. ¡°Basically¡it's taking the ¡®easy¡¯ way out. Most who flip their switch do it to avoid feeling the pain of loss or the guilt of taking a life. I did it when my brother died¡it was something Damon used the sire bond to get me to do because he couldn't reach me any other way.¡±

Mina gave a soft nearly sympathetic smile.
?
"You don't have to do anything. I'll just?have him seek you out during?your normal sleeping hours.?Until then...we could go in and sit down to continue our conversation if you like...?"
?
She ended on a question, arching slim dark brows.
?
?
She? glanced down t her phone as a return?text came in, but didn't respond to it yet.

"If you are who you claim to be we have?much catching up to do. Are you living in the?area?"

Re: SH: Outside the Diner (Vlad/Jenica/Mina/etc)

¡°It wasn't your ¡®friend¡¯ I was worried about.¡± Jenica pointedly replied while looking him square in the eye, making no bones about who she suspected would step into the role executioner while she slept. ¡°But since you bring it up¡what's to keep your friend from acting on his own? He might not bother with proof.¡± One eyebrow arched as those last words were spoken.

The idea of a complete stranger poking around inside her head was a source of concern for someone who trusted so few people. She looked between them when the woman at his side took it upon herself to be the calming influence here. ¡°Not sure anything is gonna make me feel better about being dream stalked.¡± Probably not the expected response but it was an honest one.

¡°So, what am I supposed to do? Take some ZzzQuil? Listen to a little Kenny G?¡± Whether she liked it or not this was happening, might as well accept her fate or at least prepare some kind of defense just in case her suspicions about his ¡®friend¡¯ were accurate.?

Locked Re: Rebekah¡¯s Safe House (Franceska/Renfield/etc)

Rebecca listened to fraceskia. She sighed and said " it's a good thought but to me it isn't the same." She looked down though she would love a child no matter who it was. She charished the time she had watching over hope when she was a baby. Though deep down she wanted one that was her own. It had always been her dream. A dream that she felt was always been out her reach.

She sighed and said " I only have one living relative that's my sister.? That's a real long story. I know it's stupid for a vampire to dream of wanting to have a child. In my heart I have always wanted to start a family. Though I knew I would never get that dream. Though I did have a taste of what motherhood looked like. For a brief time I took care of my niece when she was a baby. It just made me want it more. To experience it all. I know the chances of you being successful might be low but is it stupid to hold out hope."?

Rebecca didn't look at fraceskia. It was strange she spoke to her about this. She never really brought it up to her family. It was always something going on to really bring up something trivial like this. Though she knew they knew her want to be human and have a family or even just have a family. That's why she was chosen to take care of hope. She ran her finger along the table trying to keep herself composed and not give the little bit of hope for success up.

Locked Re: Rebekah¡¯s Safe House (Franceska/Renfield/etc)

"You know,"Franceska said thoughtfully, "Have you ever considered hunting down your descendants and paying one of them to have a baby for you? Mom managed to track down a distant cousin for me when I wanted someone to carry our baby. I mean it's different from your situation as it was still my egg and Renfield's sperm but still. Yours being a relation would be better than nothing."

Re: Wedding Plans (Klaus/Tatia)

Klaus listened to tatia as she spoke. He couldn¡¯t imagine everything she been thorough. He was happy to in the mist of all she had gone through knowing he was still around brought her comfort. He watched here for meer moments before kissing her. he didn¡¯t want the kiss to end but pulled away and got out the car to come around to help her out.

?

He took her hand gently to help her out.??he said ¡°no our wait will not be long. Soon I can call you my wife and I could not be any happier.¡±??He stroked her cheek lovingly.??He turned to the dress shop. Holding tatia hand in his gentle and protective grip he lead her to the door way.

?

As they approached a women was exiting and saw they ciouple. She was a beautiful blonde she wore a elegant outfit and could be mistaken as a supermodel.??She smiled and said ¡°oh im sorry but we are closing up for the night.¡±??She watched the couple with her beautiful blue eyes. She could tell they were deeply in love. She was a hopeless romantic so it always made her happy to see couple so much in love.

?

Klaus was alittle frustrated at the development.??He looked at the womans name tag ¡°Samantha¡±.??He looked into her eyes and said ¡°surely you can make a exception this time.??You would like to let us in. you would like to help my fianc¨¦e find the perfect dress.¡± He stood back still holding tatias hand. He would never let her go again.

?

Samantha blinked briefly as Klaus compelled her. she knew it was wrong but smiled and said ¡°on second though come on in.??im a hopeless romantic.??I think I got some beautiful dress you will love.¡±??She open the door to let the couple in.
