Exploring The Salvatore Property (Kol/Davina)
Davina closed her eyes tight against the flood of memories of her time spent trapped with the Ancestors who dealt out their brand of punishment for past decisions. The experience of having her soul shredded to nothing one she prayed would never be relived. But at least they could no longer hurt anyone else, the Ancestral Plane was no longer tethered to this world.? ? She drew a calming breath as her eyes opened to look around trying to get her bearings. To clear her mind of all the images threatening to overwhelm her in that moment. It was a battle she waged within herself ever since the first minute she found herself back among the living here in Mystic Falls.? ? Sometimes it was bordering on impossible to keep from worrying for those she cared about. Had Lucien killed them all in his bid to take down the Mikaelsons? The young witch knew that regardless of how much Kol at times hated his brother he'd never walk away when the family needed him neither would Marcel.? ? But there was another side to the story, one that involved anger and uncertainty. She simply couldn't get the question of whether he had supported the decision his sister Freya made in regards to using her as a conduit to access the power of the Ancestors. Maybe she had been wrong in believing Kol cared about her.? ? The brunette continued exploring the property surrounding the Salvatore Boarding House while keeping her guard up. She liked these people but with everything that happened back in New Orleans it was a little hard to be trusting right off the bat. They took her in...gave her a place to stay and even explained a few things. She had to admit the doppelg?nger thing was pretty weird.? ? Speaking of which, she felt a rush of sympathy toward the one called Tatia because of her past with the Mikaelsons. She had to wonder if either brother had even loved the young widow at all. Inclining her head a little while looking up at the sky before starting out of the woods back toward the house. |

Just Outside Town
?
The long black Lincoln town car slammed to a stop as Damon casually stood in the road, blocking its way with spread arms, an expression of jubilant invitation on his face. He was inviting them to die, and it pleased him that they didn't know it. They as in whoever was in the car.
?
A short man got out, scowling angrily at him. The jerk wore a Victorian style suit as if on the way to some sort of costume party. That or his taste in clothing was truly ridiculous! An equally Goth looking chick followed suit, sliding across the long leather bench seat to join her man. She was taller, willowy with long straight black hair past her hips and a long flowing black dress with tapered sleeves. Her Gothic make up was an odd choice, causing her skin to be an odd yellow white...Like the? color a mummy would be if the mummy had very soft smooth nice skin.
?
?
Skin that would feel very good under his hands when the drove his fangs into her neck and wiped that annoyed look off her face. She was regarding him through white blue eyes, stupid contacts, likely due to some zombie fetish, aristocratically tapered features set in a haughty expression that he instantly hated.
?
Oh yes! This was going to be fun!
?
?
"What in bloody hell were you thinking," the man demanded, crisp British accent and light tenor voice scraping Damon's ears like nails on a chalkboard. Mainly because the guy was still alive, he reasoned detatchedly.
?
"Really. We could've hit you! Whatever you're on you need to be home and not out here making yourself a problem," the girl muttered darkly, scowling at Damon as though he were a bug on the bottom of her flat ballet style shoe.
?
That did it. Passive playtime was over. Active playtime had just begun. With a low growl he lunged for her, hands wrapping around her throat. She kicked him hard din the knee, one fist coming up to slam him in the chin.
?
"Pretty good," he said with a laugh.
?
She was stronger than a human, he noted, but not strong enough. And she was warm, pulse beating under his hands like a little angry bird, so she was just...human enough.
?
"We're here on a mission from Vlad Tepes himself!"
?
The words had come from the man as he moved behind Damon and attempted...actually attempted? to snap his neck!
?
?
Damon had?turned it all off but still somehow the rage burned hotter than ever. Hell if it didn't beat pain and loss and defeat, though,?enough to drive him into ending it for good had he not switched off his humanity. For the first time in a long time he was shocked enough to hesitate with his hands around someone's neck, though...hm...interesting.
?
?
He gave a short laugh.
"As in Dracula?"
?
He'd loosened his grip on the girl's throat mainly out of sheer distraction.

Salvatore Boarding School - Kitchen (Bonnie/via text Damon)
Bonnie stood in the kitchen sipping on a cup of coffee quietly reflecting on life. It had been a year ago to the day since the younger Salvatore had died in the tunnels running beneath Mystic Falls and his brother decided to leave this place in his rear view mirror. She held off on sending him word about Elena having wanted it to be a surprise but had sent him a few texts stating how he had better get his ass back here. ? Her expression becoming troubled as she thought about the two women who had returned from the dead. One they had found three months ago on the road which ran in front of the Salvatore Boarding House and originally been thought to be Katherine while the other was a young witch from New Orleans who was found yesterday while she and Elena were out and about. Both had connections to the Mikaelsons. But neither seemed interested in stirring up trouble.? ? Even so, it made her wonder who brought them back and why. It also raised the question of whether there were others out there they hadn't crossed paths with. She found herself holding onto even the faintest glimmer of hope Enzo might be alive again. It was a long shot and most likely there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of it happening but still he hadn't been around in almost a month. ? ? Maybe he had decided to follow through with stepping out of her life completely. Something that was brought up shortly after he had pointed out how she couldn't spend the rest of her life in love with a ghost. And maybe that was true, but it was hard letting Enzo go.? |

Re: Salvatore Boarding School - Living Room (Elena/Tatia/etc)
Tatia thought this new world to be both strange and exciting as it differed so greatly from the one she had known a thousand years ago. Fortunately she had been taken in by people who were kind enough to help her learn all about it and after three months she was beginning to make progress in spite of not being entirely comfortable with it all yet. But they assured her given enough time she would get there.?
?
She thought back to the day she stumbled out the woods onto the odd looking road not knowing where she was but picking a direction and heading that way. The young widow had no way of knowing just how long she had been walking before being found by a blonde with two little girls who were traveling in something she thought a bit frightening.
?
The young mother had insisted on her coming with them while assuring her it was perfectly safe. She hadn't relaxed in the slightest until they reached their destination a short time later as it afforded her the chance to exit the strange mode of transportation. In those first few days there were hushed voices as if no one could decide quite what to do with her. They all seemed somewhat suspicious of whether she was who she said.
?
Quite a few times she distinctly recalled hearing the name 'Katherine' who she got the impression no one was particularly fond of. But after several days of careful consideration they seemed to accept the idea of her not being this person. So much of the week that followed was a blur as it involved a makeover and a lot of new clothing.?
?
She got the sense that Caroline needed the distraction and talking things over had helped. When the Mikaelsons were discussed she was surprised at how different the Klaus these people knew sounded from the one she had known all those years ago. But after hearing their stories she had a better understanding of why it was that Esther wanted her blood.
?
She flattened herself against the wall when two little girls came running up the stairs, looking after them for a bit with an almost sad look in her eyes before resuming her descent. Seeing Elena sitting on the couch she gave a polite nod still getting used to the idea of doppelg?ngers. Quietly moving over to an empty chair where she took a seat.?

Salvatore Boarding School - Living Room (Elena/Tatia/etc)
Elena sat on the couch staring into the fireplace while lightly tapping a pen on the journal laying open in her lap. Her mind seemingly going in a million directions at once there were just so many things she wanted to put onto paper. Writing about what was going on in her life had always been therapeutic. It had gotten her through the deaths of her adoptive parents, all the 'ups and downs' of her relationship with Stefan and even the struggle of life as a vampire. But all of that was behind her now.? ? Last thing she remembered happening before having fallen under what someone had decided to call the 'sleeping beauty' curse was being at Alaric's wedding and being so incredibly happy due to a talk had with Damon about their future before it. Beyond that it was all about saying goodbye to the people she cared about which also involved a few promises being made.? ? Bringing her pen to the blank page as she began to write.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 'It's difficult to put into words what it feels like to wake up and find five years have gone by. How does one explain being gone for so long? Would anyone else have even noticed? Guess not. But if they did...I could always say something along the lines of needing time away to re-evaluate my life. Then again that sounds a little bit 'midlife crisis' which might come across as overly dramatic.' ? ? ? ? ? ? She sighed looking to the fireplace in a moment of quiet contemplation then lowering her gaze starting to move the pen across the page once more.? ? ? ? ? ? ? 'Maybe it's better just to say that I've been busy...if anyone asks. Most people aren't likely to ask that I elaborate. Keep it simple. Nothing to complicated. But enough about that already.? ? Bonnie kept her promise. She made every moment count. Found love and happiness with Enzo. At least until their dreams for a future together were crushed when he was killed right in front of her. I can only imagine how painful that must have been. I just wish I could have been there for her. During the year following her loss she traveled the world and even found a way of waking me up without anyone having to die. She saved the day.? ? I woke up to find out that Damon had killed Tyler while under the control of a Siren and Stefan sacrificed himself to save Mystic Falls. I can only hope those things haven't seen Damon into another self destructive tailspin. Caroline says that after the memorial he packed up and left town.? ? I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that she and Alaric have children. Two little girls to be precise. When I asked them about it they said the Gemini coven cast a spell moving the unborn girls from Jo's womb to hers. While I don't fully understand how something like that is possible I'm glad he didn't lose them too.? ? They tell me that since the final showdown with Katherine things have been quiet...almost normal even up until they found another Petrova doppelg?nger walking down the street dressed like she stepped out of another century into ours. It turns out she died about a thousand years ago...her name is Tatia Petrova.? ? When Caroline first told me about her I remembered hearing that name before. Elijah had mentioned her when he was telling me about his family's past. He and Klaus had both loved Tatia. I have talked to her a few times and her story differed from his. She said it wasn't Esther who killed her...it was Elijah. ? One dead person coming back to life isn't entirely unusual for Mystic Falls. But yesterday Bonnie and I found a young woman who was about our age wandering around the square looking lost and confused. So, we went over to see if there was anything we could do. We talked for a while.? ? Turns out she's a witch named Davina Claire from New Orleans. Someone else who died at the hands of Mikaelson. Even though in her case she says the 'Ancestors' did something to Kol...that he couldn't help it. I was beyond shocked to hear his name since I distinctly remembered his dying but apparently he's been resurrected.? ? Why are the dead coming back to life? Are these two women the only ones? What does it mean?' ? ? ? ? ? ? She closed the journal and placed the cap back on her ink pen with a heavy sigh. |

The Road So Far....
The Road So Far¡ ? ? Forty years ago one grief filled night led to a deal being made that would change a family¡¯s destiny in ways no one could have foreseen. A decade later the yellow-eyed man came for a midnight visit to the nursery of a six month old Sam Winchester whose mother would breathe her last agonized breath pinned to the ceiling above his crib. The loss of whom transformed a once doting father into a drill sergeant obsessed with finding the?¡®³Ù³ó¾±²Ô²µ¡¯?that killed the love of his life. ? From that night on his two sons were raised like warriors without ever having a place to call home as they were dragged from one town to the next as he relentlessly searched for what killed their mother. While the eldest of his two sons embraced the life of a hunter, the younger brother craved a normal life something which led to his running off to Stanford University where for a short time he had that with a young woman named Jessica Moore who he planned to propose to. But someone had other plans for Sam, ones that involved him returning to the life of a hunter, and so, her life came to a tragic end one that mirrored the death of his mother more than twenty years ago. ? However, the Winchesters weren¡¯t the only ones with?¡®the family business¡¯?as she had come from a similar background?(one that would provide a grief-stricken mother with the means of bringing an end to the heartache). Within days of the funeral, Amelia Moore paid a midnight visit to the crossroads¡this decision quickly became a source of some conflict among family and friends though not quite as much as uncovering the truth about her daughter¡¯s death had. ? It took some time for the Moore family to return to life as it once was though obviously it took serious convincing to persuade Jessica that reuniting with her former love would be a bad idea under the circumstances. Meanwhile out of a desperation for revenge her ex-boyfriend went back to life on the road with his older brother on a quest to find their missing father who both believed held the key to finding the one responsible for the deaths of two loved ones. ? However, the hunt for?¡®old yellow eyes¡¯?took a tragic turn once they finally managed to catch up with him as the confrontation ended with one life hanging in the balance. It was this precarious situation that pushed a desperate father to give up the only weapon which could be used against the very one whose actions sent him down this path. Without a word to his youngest son, John Winchester went down into the basement of the hospital where he summoned?¡®the yellow eyed son of a bitch¡¯?with whom he struck a deal to save the life of his eldest son.? ? His sacrifice one that allowed his boys to continue the?¡®family business¡¯?finishing what he started, though no one could have predicted the twists and turns their journey would take. Just when things were starting to seem even more hopeless when it came to finding and killing?¡®old yellow eyes¡¯?the brothers began receiving help from a mysterious woman whose weapon of choice was a strange knife capable of killing demons. ? But until the night when Azazel sent one of his ¡®special children¡¯ into an old cemetery, the Winchesters hadn¡¯t known about her being a demon to them she had simply been another hunter whom they added to their short list of allies. She was forced into revealing that part of her identity when she couldn¡¯t accompany the small band of hunters thanks to a rather large devil¡¯s trap formed by the iron railroad tracks which crossed property, but that would hardly be their biggest problem as they soon discovered why the dual nature of The Colt as it also served as a key which opened the devil¡¯s gate found at the heart of the old cemetery. A couple hundred demons escaped from hell during the brief amount of time it took to close the gate and during the commotion?¡®old yellow eyes¡¯?managed to give them the slip. ? The events of that night set things in motion, starting with who was among those given a?¡®get out of jail free¡¯?card, Eve, the?*very*?first demon in existence. For the next five years finding a way of keeping his brother from going to hell would become something of an obsession for Sam despite Dean¡¯s insistence that they focus all their energy on finding the?¡®yellow eyed son of a bitch¡¯?who killed their parents and Jessica and doing the same to him.? ? On the night his bill came due things could have played out a bit differently had the Winchesters done as Ruby suggested instead of stubbornly insisting on doing things as their father would have done. His grisly demise might very well have been avoided had Dean allowed his?¡®little brother¡¯?to learn how to use his?¡®god given¡¯?powers to put an end to Eve once and for all. ? During the months that followed, Sam must have tried a couple dozen times to strike a deal at the crossroads, though not a single demon was willing to accept his offer. One even going so far as to inform him they had everything exactly where they wanted it. Which, of course, lead to a good old fashioned?¡®kill the messenger¡¯?moment. When his last attempt failed he went back on the road, reluctantly agreeing to allow Jo Harvelle to accompany him on his single-minded mission of revenge. But he would later admit that if hadn¡¯t been for her and a certain?¡®fallen angel¡¯?who continued offering her assistance knocking some sense into him that self-destruction would have been his downfall. ? Though a few months down the road the two hunters lost a certain?¡®ace up their sleeve¡¯?when Gordon Walker return to a newly reconstructed roadhouse and discovered a demon in their midst. He along with a few of his buddies set a trap, one that resulted in her death though it would not be quick considering the previously mentioned hunter¡¯s desire to get in a few hours of torture first. During which he¡¯d called Sam, who was none too pleased to hear what was going on, but unfortunately he and Jo arrived too late. ? Soon after a fight broke out, one that ended with the recovery of Ruby¡¯s knife and phone call being placed to the local authorities who arrived on the scene to discover what appeared to be the death of an innocent young woman at the hands of some?¡®satanic cult¡¯. Upon further examination of the crime scene they found evidence left behind to steer them towards her killers. ? Almost six months later the hunters were at the roadhouse when a young woman named Jenica Dracul came walking through the door. Thanks to one long conversation had in the first few months following the death of his brother, Sam remembered that having been the name mentioned when Ruby had talked about who she was before going to hell. ? ? ??????????????????????????? ** ? Our story picks up with two years having gone by since the death of Dean Winchester, on the day of his resurrection. We will be using each series as a reference guide, picking and choosing which events we wish to play out here in ¡®At The Crossroads¡¯. Some aspects from The Vampire Diaries will be incorporated?(not its characters though)?given I prefer their take on vampires, witches, and werewolves to that of Supernatural.? ? Essentially our game is the beginning of Sleepy Hollow?(first episode)?and a rather?AU?season nine of Supernatural. ? ? ? ? Won¡¯t be using¡. ? ¡¤? ? ? ? ?*?The Winchesters being the vessels of Michael and Lucifer. ¡¤? ? ? ? ?*?Eve being the mother of all monsters. ¡¤? ? ? ? ?*?Lilith as the first demon. ¡¤? ? ? ? ?*?The four horsemen as seen on Supernatural. ¡¤? ? ? ? ?*?Moloch?(Sleepy Hollow). |

A Walk Among The Tombstones (Eve)
Eve strolled through the cemetery with a look of contentment after having seen to the removal of a potential thorn in her side. Now there was only the responsible parties for his 'get out of jail free' card to be dealt with. But in the meantime she would work toward getting things back on track as hopefully nothing was hindering Azazel in his search to find suitable candidates for the mantles of War...Pestilence...and Famine.? ? Of course, there was also the matter of finding the Witnesses BEFORE they uncovered their destiny as the pair would likely prove a far greater pain in the ass than the Winchesters had. It was unfortunate that Dean was unwilling or perhaps unable to answer any questions about them or Washington's bible as the latter might contain a few answers. Oh well. ? She looked almost angelic dressed in a sleeveless white dress that reached down to her ankles. It had been easy enough to lure him away from the others given how restless and even frustrated the elder Winchester was. Perhaps if he shared a room with the young brunette it wouldn't have been nearly as easy to take Dean out of play. ? ? ? ? ? (Tag: Whoever) |

Re: Keeping Guard (Rudolph/Crowley)
Rudolph Yerbler acknowledged his understanding of Crowley's order with a nod and?opened a portal through?the main?hell gate with an arcane glyph of his own making. Other demons did not always bother with such gestures of civilities but Rudolph himself considered it mannerly to announce his arrival in advance, when Lord Secretary was concerned and attributed the few issues he had to negotiate with the senior demon to his civility. As his glyph vaguely resembling an unfinished horseshoe, began to glow in red, Yerbler found himself inside of a paper filled office, facing a red?faced man, Lord Baal Berith himself.
?
"Your contract sure has many holes in it, Yerbler," Lord Secretary angrily stated,?but Rudolph refused to take such matters seriously, the greater demon liked order and neatness above any potential benefits?to Hell itself. But eventually, and that Rudolph knew from personal experience, he would come around. "Yes, Lord Baal Berith, but rest assure, the covenant would not be contested, no extra paperwork for you, my Lord," Rudolph carefully reassured, and the senior demon only waved dismissively in response, sighing his initials on the document and making?Yerbler's agreement with Madeline official.
?
"Alright, now what, I?assume you want the boy to be revived with a different soul inside," Baal Berith grumbled, as if trying to gauge how much effort he would have to invest in the whole affair. "Nothing major, we need the soul of a Bobby Singer in the child's body, with no memory attached to it. I will need the key to activate the memory, and then I will be on my way," Rudolph promised almost apologetically. "Alright," Baal Berith relented, showed Rudolph the demotic glyph to unlock the memory when needed, and sent him on his way.
?
"I bear happy news, Madeline," Rudolph declared, facing the uncertain looking witch at the Crossroads.?"Your son in law is back, and to sweeten the deal, you just might find him more obedient to your will this time around, see, I always deliver on the promise," he spoke, while the?agitated woman did not even bother with formalities, rushing home to verify his claims, which she would only find to be too true, to the letter of the agreement at least, Rudolph inwardly considered with a twisted smirk and then?journeyed back to the infernal region he called home.??

Re: Keeping Guard (Rudolph/Crowley)
Crowley frowned in thought for a moment before answering.
"Yes," he said, only a modicum of reluctance in his voice as his mind played chess with all the possibilities and their various variations. So very many outcomes adding other players to the mix and they'd likely just added more than he could even see. Crowley understood what most did not. Involving one person meant involving anyone else they came into contact with in potential. For demons, not A problem most of the time as rarely was anyone as strong as a demon...except for in some cases another damned demon...and a witch could know more than one, especially if she happened to be stupid. Common trait among witches, stupidity, the king of the crossroads thought with a deep annoyed sigh.
?
"Yes, go ahead," he confirmed again.
"We can always control her and take anyone else out if necessary. I want him to get his memory back when I'm good and ready and not before."

Re: Keeping Guard (Rudolph/Crowley)
"Thank you, my liege," Rudolph Yerbler inclined his head in a low bow. The name of this 'Bobby' character rang a faint bell in his mind.?He had no doubt it was due to its relation with the famous Winchester boys whom his patron appeared to have taken a liking to, for mysterious reasons of his own. Of course if rumors about the importance of the Winchester brothers proved true, having a control over a human?they valued above many others would prove beneficial. The only thing Yerbler had to wonder about, was, would erasing the memory be enough to control a crafty hunter especially?if?he gained access to other crafty hunters. Rudolph was not sure?if he should intervene in the matter without learning more about it, but as his good efforts were appreciated so far, he allowed himself to indulge his instinct and suggest yet another tweak to the covenant.
?
"Excellent my lord, I shall make?the proper arrangements with Lord Secretary BaalBerith. My only concern is, would erasing the memory be permanent with somebody like this Bobby Singer? Should I add another precaution and attempt to add a control clause into the contract so that the Bobby body would be forced to obey the witch Madeline who made the contract? This way, if?she gains control over the body, we gain control, even were it to happen that the memory is restored with some spell we?are not thinking of??Forgive my Lord, If I am overstepping?myself, just trying to address any possible loopholes before they present themselves," Rudolph feebly smiled, uncomfortable with?making his own contribution to the plan, dreading the consequences, and yet feeling strangely pulled to try it out anyway.???

Crowley thought for some time, silence dragging out?chewing at his lower lip, expression a mix of intent and disgruntled. So many opportunities...a demon or...Or someone not bad at all to hold as a trump card against Sam and apparently Dean too who had been conveniently and inconveniently risen from the dead.
?
"We'll put a soul back and erase that soul's memory until the time I so choose to return it," he told Rudolph thoughtfully.
?
"Give the boy the soul of Bobby Singer!"
?
He clapped his hands together once before rubbing them together in glee. No one would look for Singer. He had already been taken from the Winchester boys. He was no longer important...to anyone but those boys....and now to Crowley. Let the boy go home to momma or step momma with no memory due o his...accident and when the time was right he'd become aware of who he was...just in time o be held against the? boys!

"The day is turning round quite nicely," he said.

Re: Keeping Guard (Rudolph/Crowley)
"As you wish, my Lord," Rudolph Yerbler?agreed without much surprise. This may have started with him using his ability, but as he showed Crowley how to utilize what he already crafted, well it was just like his Master to be independent and resourceful. Going off on but a brief tangent, the yellow haired demon had to wonder if Salome would prefer someone independent and powerful or if she...well he could not be kidding himself about such matters. Naturally every female or male demon preferred some confidence. What he could be asking himself instead, would be, could she settle for one like him instead. The youthful looking demon seemed so reserved, almost to the point of shy, that she could theoretically tolerate something less than the ideal, like him.
?
But realizing he had been distracting himself with currently irrelevant mental chatter, Rudolph manifested as a dark shadow on the threshold of the Crossroads. He had a feeling, and now the visual confirmed its validity, it had indeed been Madeline Dubois, the poorly mislead psychic who once had hopes for a better future and now was angry at the path not taken. Rudolph himself had ensured some choices, like the cheating partner, the?rejection at the Metaphysical university Madeline had applied to, were all his doing. After these, she could have chosen differently of course, since the Father of All gave humans freedom of will, but the demon still remembered how he'd misused his, and was not surprised?to find others accepting the lure of the Dark with greater zeal than his.?
?
Some demons preferred the flashy approach and announced their arrival with trumpets, odd sounds and tantalizing giggles but Rudolph did not appreciate fanfare. They were here to do business and he was going to treat the?Crossroads office with all the dignity it deserved. "You called me, Madeline, to make a bargain, I assume. What about the purity of your soul you had so adamantly emphasized? " Rudolph mildly inquired and the brown haired psychic became almost hysterical, either missing or completely ignoring his well planned sarcasm. "Screw my soul, Yerbler, if Evan finds out I killed his son, he would never forgive no matter how many times I tried to tell him, ah never mind that, just make the deal, the boy back for the soul, will you?" the psychic impatiently demanded.
?
Rudolph found himself only too grateful that she did not bother him with all the tedious details of her too predictable life. The deal was exactly what he was hoping for, although she could have phrased it better.?If she did, he would have haggled over the number of years left to live, the ordinary affair. But this way, this specific choice of words, it really was all about choices, Rudolph considered, and found himself smiling. Noticing his expression, the psychic must have realized she'd erred, but evidently not?the?nature of her mistake. "And I still get to live a full life, until you claim my soul, no?three years bullshit for me, right?" she scowled and Rudolph placidly nodded.
?
"Agreed, your soul shall be mine when you full life is over,?Evan's boy will have life restored to his body, all in order," Rudolph commented with only a hint of a smile at his triple victory and the psychic summarily dismissed him. He would have to check the files but he thought he'd remembered the right kid. Of course, the body would be brought back to life, but Madeline never specified that the life returned will have to be the original soul. Too impatient to think clearly,?the psychic?gave him a golden opportunity and he was going to use it. If he managed to place the right kind of spirit inside of the boy's body, both Madeline and Evan could be finished off prematurely, their?feeble spells of defense notwithstanding. Of course he would have to think about it, or better yet, let Crowley think about it as he came back to report the?transaction to him. ? ? ? |

Frowning Crowley gestured the demon away with a hand, directing his gaze to the card. He should be able to handle this without mucking it up but such things were new to him and deep down The King of the Crossroads was a little on edge bout it.
?
"It' fine. Go ahead. I don't want to muck up the natural order for something I can handle," he bit out grudgingly.
?
He was bloody Crowley. He needed no one to hold his bloody hand...his eyes widened as he saw the heavenly hell team of Castiel and red haired showy bat winged demoness standing together facing yet another demon. Azie Elbub of all the...and also with red hair though he doubted that could mean anything. Sometimes he annoyed himself with?the minute details he could notice.
?
Had Castiel fallen then? No! He'd surely have heard of such by now...Heaven and Hell would be screaming the news surely. Azie had been known to deal with angels if the game was afoot as it were.
Only question was what game was this? Crowley silently wondered this as he watched, idly tapping his chin with a finger.
?
"It's alright," he murmured to the 3 images in...on the card.

"I've got all night!"

Re: Keeping Guard (Rudolph/Crowley)
Rudolph Yerbler once thought that humans lives were filled with coincidences and mistakes, his own birth included. Then combining practical education, of torture applied to him, and theoretical, when he elected to study the history of the Crossroads, he came to the conclusion that his earlier understanding of randomness was utterly mistaken. Choices made through passion, and those in repose, those away from a bargain as well as those towards it, they could be many things, but not usually random. ? So in the past, he would have found this to be an ironic?coincidence,?but now he saw the greater pattern, even if the precise nature of it was hidden from him.?It was?that woman, Madeline Dubois, who wasn't even a witch but was strongly attuned to the element of earth with her psychic powers who made Rudolph consider the import of the forces driving him. Madeline was a strong sender and could, usually unintentionally and?sometimes at will, contribute to earthquakes, for what she saw as valid reasons, but were actually empty justifications. Rudolph has been cultivating their relationship, directly and otherwise, for years, and now, the final moment has come. She has made the plunge and was intending on making a deal, as was evident from the?urgency in her summoning. ? At that very precise moment when his earlier spell began to bloom and?his mentor returned. It was ironic, and once, Rudolph could have been flustered by the ill timed coincidence, but now he knew more, and chose to carefully address the situation instead, using the benefit of Crowley's position. "Sir, seems like the cloaking presence is now gone, the spell is ready to enact itself. But Sir, at the same time, I am being summoned to do my business for the Crossroads. So if you need my services further to?help you with the couple, I will need to be excused from the summoning, which only you can do as the King of the Crossroads. If you wish me to?leave you?to your affairs, you should now have the ruling power over the spell, otherwise, please, cancel the summoning using your position, because I am not able to resist it much longer myself..." Rudolph politely offered, accepting?either outcome with equanimity. ? Once it may have been harder for him to do. He would have been tempted to prove something, follow up on the bargain then return and complete the spell. but now that he could see the higher principles in action instead, it became easier for him to let fate decide for him, or rather?let Crowley decide as the purveyor of fate. the cunning demon likely saw more than him ahead anyway and would make a better decision than Rudolph would have , if left to his own devices. |

Re: Keeping Guard (Rudolph/Crowley)
Ad it happened, Crowley was searching, unsuccessfully for Eve, so when his recently favored underling sought his attention he merely frowned slightly and arched a brow, nearly happy for the reprieve from his own growing annoyance.
?
"What now," he asked.
What now need with so very many options and possibilities to choose from.

Keeping Guard (Rudolph/Crowley)
Rudolph Yerbler was not precisely sure how low any senior demon would stoop so as to undermine his peers. Then again, Crowley being the most devious of them, Yerbler supposed he would be the one to gauge their responses correctly. There was something near by instead that bothered him, and when he bid his mentor farewell with "thank you sir," Rudolph realized what he has been doing.?While working on his spell, weaving together the now and the later, placing the correct glyphs and gathering some power behind them, he instinctively began tapping his finger on Crowley's desk. ? It was still barely noticeable when?the Lord of the Crossroads graced him with his presence, but began to really irritate him now, that Crowley was gone. It was him doing the tapping, presumably of his own volition, without any spells?cast around him. And yet,?the disturbing thing about such an innocuous seeming habit was its origins. The last time Rudolph remembered?observing it, was when Belial was occupied, deciding how to best break his disciples. Rudolph found it unnerving then,?as well as now, and began considering the lyrics of the song cautiously. Who the preacher man was alluded to in this instance, he was not sure, possibly Belial?himself, but going back home was instinctive enough. Images of the lovely and innocent looking Salome, with the piercing blue eyes, filled his heart. He did not know the girl truly, but she served to focus his attention away from his own tapping, which he mysteriously could not stop. ? Concentrating on the image of the youthful demon girl, Rudolph finally drew the glyph of exclusion all around him and noticed how the tapping stopped, almost of its own accord. "No more distractions," Rudolph muttered?towards no one in particular and his voice sounded pleasantly determined to his own ears. It was a good time too, because the magical spell visibly began to brew, something was happening and Crowley would soon need to be summoned back, the blonde demon decided without much enthusiasm, worried?that he would be interrupting something important his superior could be doing. ? ?? |

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
"I have no doubt Eve knows a lot,?but that does not imply she would be willing to share with the likes of us. Well, alright, I?suppose she could be more biased against me, personally, being who I am, but?since she doesn't count either of you among her closest friends, I doubt she would rush to divulge her knowledge to her compatriots ether. Overall, Eve is?rather mysterious, as far as her goals and their?implementation are concerned. I was told?by an informant she had denied a conquest opportunity, but as I have no direct access to her or information about her, I am not quite sure," Castiel began seriously considering the prospect, realizing belatedly he may have fallen prey to the demon's sarcasm this once and then?gratefully let Halbrek answer Azzie's question.?Being a?sufficiently high ranking demoness, at least in his opinion, his partner ought to know more about the very first demon than himself.
?
Castiel supposed it could have been a generalization on his part if he blindly assumed every time that Halbrek understood everything about demons better by virtue of being one herself. But this time, he firmly believed that as a demoness of war, his opposite number, she really would have investigated that kind of information and was relieved to have been right on the matter.?In view of their recent exchanges, the angel began feeling a bit guilty and conscientious of his own thoughts, evaluating them for any hint of prejudice. But this time he was in the clear, Castiel decided, affirmatively nodding to himself and tuning with avid attention?into the conversation around him.
?
"And as a follow?up question," the angel of war somberly considered, "I must wander what Moloch is doing. I am a bit considered after our latest conversation with a very informed source, close to the origin of many intrigues, that Eve?may be working with him. Otherwise, her arrival to Sleepy Hollow may be indeed too coincidental. I apologize for showering you with so many questions, but at some point, we might need to find out what is happening if we are to take measures. take your time of course, and...no pressure," the angel unexpectedly, even for himself, quipped, seeking to put the dark haired girl's mind at ease with?such a human sounding phrase. ?? |

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
OOC,Crap been so long I completely forgot Jessica was there. LOL. Sorry, and great fix!
?IC
"Hm,"Azie tilted his head thoughtfully to the side, then arched a brow at the angel and demoness holding hands across the table.
"You 2 think Eve would know how it all began...Like did they do the nasty to make more or what? Will he help to settle this once and for all?"
?
Noting that Halbrek seemed more concerned than amused, and the pretty dark haired girl at his side didn't seem to be laughing either, Azie frowned.
?
"Or...Not? You don't think she'll be happy to see us...or wanna hang out? I mean she's got to have gotten bored and lonely by now, right? I mean just look at the two of you," he told Halbrek and Castiel.
"I mean you're the prime example of bored and lonely..."
?
Noting neither was amused he heaved a sigh and rolled his eyes in exasperation.
?
"Well I'm ordering breakfast then," he huffed.
?
"Not everyone is going to make this a friendly game, Azie, "Halbrek bit off.
?
"Eve is too political for that."
?
Azie was frowning, but at Castiel rather than at? Halbrek's comment. He hadn't missed the angel's reaction to his flirting with the pretty psychic. And really, angels could be such god damned hypocrites! He had nerve basically warding him off the girl while getting all hot with a demoness himself. Obviously double standards, and he wasn't having it. If Castiel wanted to? play, it was on.
?
"So...What's good," he asked Cordelia, gesturing at the? menu.
?
"As for Eve...Did you happen to get any impression as to what she was doing? Any little bit of info could help," he coaxed.
?
For her part, Halbrek didn't care why, she was just relieved to see Azie finally getting serious and down to business.

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
Cordelia could feel a growing pit in her stomach as she thought about what it could mean if the 'first demon' was indeed here in Sleepy Hollow with everything else that was brewing. None of the thoughts that sprung to mind involved cute fluffy bunnies. She sat quietly finishing her breakfast while waiting for her friend to arrive. If their conversation went as she hoped it would then more hunters would become involved.?
?
When Jessica arrived the two women sat discussing her visions in hushed voices casting the occasional glance at the few other patrons scattered about at various tables. It would be a lot for anyone to take in...and she knew that so there were a few long pauses to allow for that. But at the end of it all her new friend had come through for her just as she'd hoped.?

?
Jessica excused herself just as the trio approached in order to make a few phone calls, with any luck a few of her family's contacts would be able to pitch in even if only by keeping an ear to the ground. She stepped outside and began dialing the number of someone who had a rather uncanny knack for finding things out.?

Cordelia was about to comment on the greeting she'd gotten when a previous conversation resumed leaving her mildly confused. Giving a nod as if to say she understood when in reality she was feeling a bit lost. "That's a relief. I think." The seer said of not missing anything important, offering a friendly smile to the man now seated next to her. "Funny you should mention that."
?
It seemed like a good jumping off point for one of the discussions that needed to happen after what she'd just heard from the blonde standing outside. "I have this friend, who when I texted her to see if she'd heard anything told me about a job she'd been working that ended with an exorcism. Anyway...the demon told her that SHE was here in Sleepy Hollow. Now I'm guessing that by that he meant Eve. That couldn't be coincidence, could it?" Knowing it was pointless to hope for that. |

Re: At The Diner (Cordelia/Jessica/Castiel/Halbrek/etc)
"I am actually not so sure about that," the angel?of war seriously considered. "It depends on what came first, and I've heard rumors that the sex was only secondary, perhaps a form of actualization but the essence came first. Then again, unlike some of my friends, I wasn't there at the beginning, so cannot attest to the veracity of such a statement. And don't harass the seer please, we may need her services,"?Castiel quickly dropped a necessary non sequitur.
?
Cordelia Chase could be useful?for the battles to come, and wasting her efforts to appease a horny demon was not his idea of utilizing the girl's potential.?She probably would not fall prey to Azzie's antics, being gifted from above, but a demon was a demon, especially one who claimed extensive carnal knowledge of the opposite sex. Trying to distract him from a pursuit even before it started, Cas quickly turned the conversation back?to the earlier subject.
?
"Well yes, it could be logical and reasonable, at least based on physical laws, but how often was Lucifer known for doing such logical and basic things. He tries all the outlandish ideas first as far as we could tell, and takes perverse pleasure in his strangeness.?And even if you totally disagree with me on his merit?or inclinations, you have to admit, that the higher levels of reality were there before the laws of physics, perhaps causing all the material laws and not only preceding them. If that is true, that it makes sense for both humans and demons to be?conceived as an idea first, then given spirit and then flesh. But if your people have different tales of origins, I am all ears," the angel concluded, genuinely interested in actual lore or at least some ideas on how to figure it out. He never minded learning ideas?previously foreign, sometimes for their own sake and other times because such bits of knowledge could?always?turn later into powerful weapons of?wars in ways completely unpredictable.
?
Seeing how Azzie?focused his attention back on the girl,?Castiel could not decide if he should shield her first or let the fox demon try his hand?first, he could prove an interesting tester of her will power and abilities,?and if Cordelia?shared their goals and became a permanent?team member, awareness of her limitations by her fellow team members could save her life. So, perhaps he could let the fox play, at least for the moment, and see what?the seer did?with that.???
