Vevor parts
The Vevor 7x14 lathe I bought has no parts list and does not always match what is on other mini lathes. The quality of the parts has not always been the best. The keyway in the shaft for the "A" timing gear is not centered and does not allow the gear to go on without a lot of force. I need to prey it off with a screwdriver which takes a lot of one side/other side reps. The plastic timing gear are VERY tight on the shafts. The timing belt has 90 teeth rather then the standard 70. If I knew all of this before I bought it I would have passed on it. Has anyone else had any problems?

Grizzly is my go-to source for mini lathe parts, although I have no complaints with LMS. Grizzly sells a 7x12 and a 7x16.? Part numbers for the (presumably) common parts between them are different and the 7x16 parts tend to be more expensive.? But both LMS and Grizzly have pics online which is helpful. Can also often find parts on Aliexpress, but my experience is that can be a bit of a crap shoot, and the search sucks like most sites these days so finding anything is unreasonably difficult.

IF it is actually a Sieg manufactured lathe (or close to it) the "Little Machine Shop" may be able to help. This is a Sieg C2 Diagram somewhere at their site.? I don't know how to find it within their site but found this link in a general search.? It is not the same as the diagram in the last post, but certainly similar.? I think they are all similar. Little Machine Shop can probably help with references to parts on this model C2 drawing. On the Little Machine Shop site which is here:?? You can click on "Support" and then "User's Guides" and you get a page full of machines.? The SIEG C3 lathe may the closest one to yours on the page (not sure about that).? If you click on it, you get its user's guide.? If you click on that you get its exploded view diagram AND a parts list.? Little Machine Shop can probably work from the information there. Here is a direct link to that C3 User's guide. I noticed a blog comment online of somebody else having a lot of trouble getting the correct Vevor manual as they received the one for the wrong sized lathe with their machine. Charles E. 开云体育If I read correctly, the part numbers are different from your Vevor picture and LMS 5100 lathe /johannes ? ? ? From: davesmith1800

Thank you. This does look like my lathe. The part that I have the problem with is Number 17. It is like the ones LMS has but the 2 keyways in mine are 4mm and theirs have 3mm keyways. The only place I have found for some of my parts is Amadeal which can be a gamble since there are several differences.

Has anyone else had any problems?I had the same experience with my Vevor 7x14- I was surprised that the gears hadn't cracked; it was a real struggle to get them off. I reamed all the plastic change gears so they went on securely, but without a lot of force. It's not that the 90T timing belt isn't standard - the 70T belts are for lathes that have a Hi-Lo transmission in the headstock. Those 90T belts are easily available on AliExpress. Change gears are easy to buy, or you can 3D print them or have somebody local 3D print them for you. I use 3D printed PLA gears and they work fine. |

Check with Grizzly - their 7x14 is a Real Bull.?You are correct, their 7x14 does have many of the parts that are on the Vevor 7x14. The part I need is one of them. For now I made a key that offset 0.032" (0.8mm) between the top and bottom halves which seems to work just fine. |
