Portable DRO'S

Here photo my one of my portable DRO'S?
This 5" [125mm] it clamps to bed and a mag base on the carriage using a ?" aluminum Bar.?
Works great for snap rings.

Very nice idea.
?Can you show some picture of how it works, and how you mount it ? I'm really interessed and was thinking to copy your idea ( if you don't mind )?

Pierluigi

I just change lathe to mini lathe..

It is simple the DRO aluminum base has bracket to lathe bed.?
The other end use a mag base used for dial indicators.

My new lathe lacks space for mag base. So just I will be adding a bar to carriage for ? round bar used on the DRO.?

The photo is almost 5" I am switching to almost 8" [200mm] with a remote display for lathe and have in my drawer.? ?install?

The 5" [125mm] work great but wanted a little more working room.

Do you a photo of your lathe?

Dave

Here few more photos.?
The 12" is the one I use most.
The one bag is my new one that just got with a remote display. It has almost a 8".? The 5" was a little short.?

Each lathe and mill is a different setup?
