Can You Use a Dial Caliper as ag Non-Digital "DRO?" (was "Re: LittleMachines DROs and dials")

Yes you can the dial type can be adjusted to zero.? I had one on a Bridgeport mill. I work great.

开云体育only thing I can think of is that the dials are usually larger than the digital read heads & if ya want to do metric there's some math involved . I also have chart on wall which works for most. Then calculator in the tool box and 25.4 to covert from monkey ?? marks to inch Dave? I purchased my first metric tap in 1976 M12 used 12,000 still have tap.
