Larry, Can you tell me if the gearbox parts & blade drive wheel are
the same as the HF, Jet... knock-offs? I have an old Jet & found this saw & would like to get it running for my father. My Jet looks like the drive gear & shaft are 2 pieces. If thats the same on this saw, I'll turn the shaft & buy the gear, bearings, & wheel. Wiltin lists a 5x8" & I think that is what this is. Can you tell me where the mod# is located on your's? Just starting to clean this one up & havent found it yet. If your's is the same, could you send a parts breakdown or #s? Haven't been able to contact Wilton yet. Thanks in advance. britt --- In 4x6bandsaw@..., Larry Ruebush <lrt@w...> wrote: I have a wilton and all it is is a high price HF saw. Never hasworked worth a darn Larry Ruebush---------- Yahoo! I will try to go out tomorrow and check it. I
bought the saw thinking I was getting a american made saw that was better than
the imports. I gave $400 for it back in 1988. Factory men worked on it several
times and it would cut straight for a day or so and then start getting all cock
eyed again. Never used it much after that. Have been reading alot of ideas on
making 4X6's cut better and am going to try some of them in the
futher.

Larry, thanks. My Jet is about the same age & it does the same thing.
I figured I had the guides set to one side or the set in the blades was wearing causing it to lead. That's one of the reasons I joined the group, thought someone might have a can of cut straightener :). We wsed to have a Wilton foundry about 12 miles from here, but they only made vises & Hunter fan housings. (good vises back then). I don't worry to much about the cuts because I can clean them up on the lathe or mill, but sometimes you just hate to loose the stock. BTW glade it's you getting the snow instead of me. I'm in MS, & it was up in the 60's today. Another 20 deg. or so & I'll start to thaw out. Do appreciate the help. britt --- In 4x6bandsaw@..., Larry Ruebush <lrt@w...> wrote: Brittthinking I was getting a american made saw that was better than the imports. I gave $400 for it back in 1988. Just checked my saw. Facing it, on the right side
is a handhold to raise the blade. On the backside is a sticker-Model 3300,
serial number 874087. It does have a GE motor,1/2 HP
So far only a couple inches of snow. Getting ready
to take off for the western edge of MO in my semi.
